I had my car at another shop with a quote that felt dishonest... Called this place for a second opinion and the owner spent 30 minutes on the phone with me explaining what I should be paying and what to ask for. He gained nothing from this... Just wanted to share his experience and give me a few other options. Ended up saving me almost $1k for a better repair. This shop and it's owner reminded me that there are still good, honest folks out there.

This place is phenomenal! I took my 2006 Acura RL to them for the struts, hubs, AC charge and tire pressure management sensors to be fixed and they had it fixed within a day and a half! Not to mention the price was extrmely fair! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable! I will forever be grateful for them taking care of my beloved Acura! Will take my car back for any future needs!

I found them online based on their good Google reviews. They quoted me a reasonable price to have my hub bearings replaced and were quick and efficient. I will use them again if I need too.

This is the best auto shop I've ever used. They replaced my AC condenser with the condenser I had purchased. They fixed the wiring to my radio without me asking or charging anything. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. I don't live in New Braunfels anymore, but if I did, I would continue going to Foreign Affairs. These people are honest, fair, hardworking, and skilled. Highly recommend.

Most honest and fair priced repair shop in San Antonio area. I take my truck and car here and highly satisfied on every occasion. 5 stars without a doubt.

I have to hand to them. They save me about $490.00 because they talked me. I just put a crankshaft sensor on my car. It started up, I reset the ECM. Then my car wouldn't start. They made me see that I had put the fuse in the wrong place. My problem was fixed, and I never had to use them. So, call and talk to them. And if you need to, take your car to them.

The owner of this business is very knowledgeable and amazing. He took his time to diagnose my car and told me exactly what was wrong with it. His customer service is exceptional. He took care of my Lexus IS 250 and gave me a call when it was ready. Great group of professionals. This will be a new place for all my automotive repair needs. I highly recommend this business.

This small business mechanic shop provides good prices, quick work, and fair opinions on all matters related to your vehicle. A friend turned me on to these guys and we've been taking our Honda there ever since. The only downside is that they won't work on my Chevy. This business is definitely worth checking out if you need some work on a foreign car.

Took my vehicle to the dealer for a P0301 cylinder misfire. Dealer gave me two options. 1 take the engine apart and perform maintenance at $4K. 2 perform dynamic oil change and that MIGHT fix the problem at $1125. Brought my vehicle here and they were very attentive. I got a phone call later on and he explained that I had the wrong spark plugs in and that the coil was fine. Also had an air intake hose that was broken. I gave him the go ahead to fix it as well as an oil change. All together I paid less than $400. My vehicle is back up and running. I can't thank them enough for the awesome service, honesty, and professionalism. Highly recommend them to anyone. Do not take your vehicle to the dealership.

We have two Toyota’s. One is 11 years old and the other is 14. One has 150K and the other has 300K. They visit Foreign Affair about once a year. They run great and the AC is still going. The prices are wonderful and the are incredibly honest. I have to drive over 30 miles to their shop and do it gladly.

My Volvo was making a loud noise and I took it in for diagnostic. I was told the air oil separator went out. The owners are extremely kind and very knowledgeable. They explained what was needed in detail. They had my car repaired the same day as promised, and it was affordable. Thank you so much for fixing my car. It’s greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Dealership wanted to replace several A/C parts for $2000. I spoke to Rob on the phone. He was cordial and professional while keeping his terminology in layman’s terms. He didn’t even want to know what the dealership recommended. He did his own diagnostics and found out I only needed 1 major part replacement. He had my car fixed for half the price and had it back to me in less than 24 hours.

Usually with a mechanic you just want them to do a good job and not force you to take out a loan to pay for the repairs. Foreign Affairs goes 5 steps beyond that by not only doing an outstanding job at a fair price, but also being incredibly patient with their customers. Just go. They'll become your go-to shop after the first trip.

Love this place. So hard to find an honest mechanic - but you have one here! Foreign Affair was recommended by a coworker when I first moved to San Antonio and I couldn't be more pleased. I had taken my Accord to a local dealership where they tried to charge me nearly $3K for a variety of trumped-up repairs. I took it to Bob and he fixed what actually needed to be fixed for @$600. I now take my car in for an annual inspection, which I would never do at a dealership (they would have a field day) - that is how much I trust this place. And both Bob and Olga are lovely (except when Bob gives me grief about the dog hair in my car. I swear, I just cleaned it! He's a shedder!! ;)

Hands down best car repair shop around. Family owned. We've taken our Toyota here many times for many different issues (it's 16 years old) and they are honest, compassionate, and affordable. They also don't try to upsell you. Highly recommend them!

I've taken my truck here before. This time my car. They checked brakes and fault codes and reported that the car was OK and didn't need anything. How often do repair shops do this? Besides never. Bob could have replaced rotors and pads and I would have been content to pay the bill. He chose honesty. I will be a loyal customer and share my experience with others

I went here to fix the an extensive fault in car and Bob was the best and most honest mechanic I have met so far. The car was fixed and they saved me significant amount of money. I will highly recommend this place.

Foreign Affair are wonderful! We take both of our Toyota vehicles there on the rare occasion that they need repair. The last time, we were having an issue with an air conditioner. When Foreign Affair was unable to duplicate the problem after trying for a full day, they returned it to us WITHOUT CHARGE! A few days later we took it back while the problem was happening and they fixed it courteously and promptly, and at a reasonable price.
