The fried rice is really good, super flavorful, rich and buttery.

I also had the firecracker roll. It was very good as well. Lots of heat, lots of flavor.

First visit and it was amazing!

The Kotoyama special is a go to, the steak is wonderful! Also I requested a special roll that became a favorite! It's a little spicy and tangy and a lot delicious! Ask Pollo to make the MandaPanda 🐼 roll for you! The only thing that would make this place better would be if they served saki and wine! 🍷

This is a diamond in the rough! Saffron, our server, was amazing! Definitely recommend the Caliente Roll! We are from out of town but 10/10 recommend

OMG, the sushi offered here is deliciously outstanding with a menu fit for a king. The meals at Kotoyama's Sushi Bar areM utterly out of this world, truly Japanese cuisine at its finest.
It's a little pricy, but the authenticity is well worth the cost.

I'd recommend the Crunchy Roll Suchi and the Kotoyama Special (Tenderlion & Shrimp) with a large Fried Rice and a Salad or Soup.

I recently brought my staff here for a quick team lunch and was extremely pleased with the service. The food was absolutely amazing and the sushi was very fresh. I highly recommend stopping here for lunch at least once if you've never tried it. Our waitress Chez we very kind and even gave us good recommendations on what rolls to try! 10/10

We got a night away from the kids so we tried this place for our first time. The menu offered tons of sushi options and generous hibachi choices as well.
The prices were better than similar restaurants in Beaumont but the quality was equal. Much smaller and less showy than the higher priced ilk, but a great alternative for sure.
If you want the "show" of hibachi then you'll want to head to Beaumont, but if you want delicious, fast hibachi and sushi without the cost of the show, Kotoyama is worth the drive to Lumberton. We'll be back. Our waitress was pretty great too.

Me and daughter went there on 7-23-2021 for the first time. Our waitress Carli if I spelt her name correctly was fantastic. Was a long wait only because a customer had ordered 20 different rolls. We ordered the California roll and the chicken and shrimp hibachi. The roll was beyond delicious and spot on. Both of the shrimp and chicken hibachi that followed was well proportioned and very good. Decent price and will definitely be retuning.

You can't beat this ! 5 stars , I too read the reviews , most good but a few bad made me Leary , but just as others said , from big cities to a small cities like here , for the price they delivered great sushi , it was delicious and I highly recommend them , I was very satisfied with my sushi tonight and I have had sushi in the big cities in NY , LA , London and for our small city , this was great! So nevermind a few bad reviews that may or may not have Merritt ?? I was so happy with my sushi tonight !
Very good and rolled tight and tasty fresh ingredients and fish , it was very good so I will definitely be ordering from them from now on , when home no need to drive to Beaumont for sushi now that I found Kotoyama !🌹❤

I’ve gone here the past two days. I sat down and also got a to go order. The service was phenomenal and so was the food. The guys at the counter were very friendly and when I sat down with my kiddos my server was very attentive and sweet. I will definitely be going here again.

I visit here every time I come to town! The food is always tasty and the establishment is kept very clean! The staff here has always been very nice and helpful! I will continue to come back every time I visit town! I definitely recommend Chez as a waitress she's very quick and accommodating!

The food here was wonderful, but I especially loved the waitress, Chez. They were very swift with every request I made, and had a great attitude. Will definitely come again.

this is such a nice place to eat. it's sorta small, but never busy so it's just a nice "come in and get food" environment. don't think it's fast food, it's actually a sit-down restaurant with cloth napkins. everything in there is really pretty. the food is Japanese so it's a lot of rice and fish. they have a lot of raw fish dishes if you like that (those are ready really quickly because no cooking).

First time visitor. My coworker called in the order. They said 10 minutes and we work about 10 minutes away. I got to pick up and it was busy. Food took about an extra 20 minutes to be ready. The Caterpillar rolls were delicious. Theirs an older woman there.maybe mid 40s. She could be a little nicer maybe a smile and greeting.

We have enjoyed their excellent dishes since their opening. Excellent service always. Very reasonable prices. Can not wait too long before have to go back for a fix of god food.
