Cool Springs Fish Bar & Restaurant

I'll get the one issue out of the way. This restaurant was mobbed (for all of the right reasons) and the parking is chaotic. There.

We were a party of six. Several food preferences and allergies that make us a stress on a server. Our server was Erica C. She was amazing. She was attentive, helpful, and amazingly efficient as the restaurant was hopping. Great personality as well. A mere mortal server would have been overwhelmed.

One of the partners, Chris, was on the floor. Restaurant was run really well for as busy as they were. He was great. The food runners didn't stop.

Bar had a nice selection, prices good, pours were generous. The food was terrific. Interesting and varied selection through all of the courses. Well prepared and everybody loved their meals.

We came because our friends tried Cool Springs and took us there. We heard about the prime rib for a week before our visit. Five of the six of us ordered the prime rib. Lived up to the rave. Apps and deserts were just as good.

We never felt rushed as we enjoyed a very nice evening. We would not hesitate to recommend Cool Springs and cannot wait to return soon.

The food was very good from a freshness and quality standpoint. the entrees were flavored with seasoning that amplified the natural juices that made it flavorful to the palette. Limited selections but great choices to maintain cost and quality of the meals. Definitely a place I’ll return to when in town. And Mary our server was excellent!

This was our best meal out in recent memory! Whitney was our server - she was wonderful and the made the meal extra special for my 2 kids. Everything we ate was excellent - from raw oysters to entrees and the desserts. For a seafood restaurant, I think the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Such a wonderful experience. Service was wonderful. Salads included with entrees and desert platter felt comfortably old school. Food was top notch, perfectly cooked and flavorful. Drinks and wine selection were on point. Will definitely return!

Very nice restaurant! There was a variety of food and i enjoyed it throughly. Everyone loved the food and the waitresses were very nice and well mannered. Keep doing what you're doing!

Great service very personable. They remember you even if you only visit once on a while. Food is fresh, delicious, and presented well. They offer plenty of surf and turf options. Every meal I've had there was wonderful. Good drinks at a reasonable price. Pretty quiet atmosphere. Nice for the 40+ crowd.

We were going to go to restaurant 55 on a Thursday nite and they said it was at least a 25 minute wait so we walked to the other end of the building to Cool Springs and they had tables, no wait. The food was delicious I had the honey bourbon salmon and the others had the skillet seared tuna steak and Linguini Alfredo with blackened chicken. We were all very happy with our meal. It was the best meal I have had in a long time! The meal came with potatoes and a vegetable as well as a salad. I loved the dill dressing! Unfortunately we did not leave room for desserts because they looked just as good. Definitely a place to return too!

Omg! Tried this place after a friend suggested it and it was amazing. Great atmosphere, great wait staff and unbelievable Food. I had the seafood bisque it was so good, full of shrimp, scallops, and crab, the salad with balsamic dressing superb, and the largest most perfectly cooked prime rib I have ever had in my life. If you get the chance you have to try this place a little pricey and don't expect a lot of vegetables with your meat but well worth every penny. Can't wait to go back.

You will not find a better, locally owned seafood restaurant! From the food to staff to previous and current owners, this has been a favorite place for 20 years! Whether a special occasion or just because we want to go, never turn down an opportunity!!

Crab imperial and flounder was amazing! Crab cakes amazing! Honey bourbon potatoes amazing! Brussel sprouts amazing! Can I say amazing 1 more time...oysters were amazing!

Went with my Mom during the Friday night rush-hour, and we loved it! Great atmosphere with hard working staff there. There’s an “edginess” to the place — it’s uniquely designed to fit the right amount of people inside. If you’re the right age, the bar is the best place to eat your dinner.

Highly recommend to me. Best date night I've had with my husband since moving here. Great food and service. Can't wait to go again!!!

If I could give this place six stars I would. There's a well stocked bar with some higher dollar options as well as your regular well stuff. The food menu has plenty of options as well. The fried calamari was absolutely delicious. The salad they brought before my meal had some of the best croutons I've ever tasted and the blue cheese dressing was perfect. I had the teriyaki swordfish with brussel sprouts and cauliflower. I'm on a 3-week trip to Delaware from Georgia and this is hands-down the most satisfying meal I've had on this 3-week trip. I'm coming back in June and I plan on hitting up this place first thing as soon as I get here. If you're looking for an excellent seafood spot with plenty of options decent size portions and good prices this is it. For reference I split the calamari appetizer with my coworker, then I ordered a teriyaki swordfish dinner, a salad, a mountain dew, a glass of water, and pour of Blanton's whiskey. My bill was only $41. If you're not the drinking type this meal would have ran you roughly $30! I cannot recommend this place more and I cannot wait to come back!

Big city cuisine in a small town setting. Very good service & food.

We tried Cool Springs at the suggestion of some locals during our recent visit to Dover. We were not disappointed. A little off the beaten path but we'll worth the few extra miles. Clean, bright and we'll decorated, and not overcrowded for a Saturday night, we were seated immediately. Full bar and decent selection of land and sea selections. We decided to try a fish and steak dish to see how well each were prepared and I can tell you they passed the test. For appetizers we had the fried calamari which was lightly battered and tender, not greasy at all and and the mini crab cakes were as described mini but full of meat and mixed with a perfect blend of ingredients which held together but not a brick. Main course was the grilled seafood quartet (Salmon, swordfish, shrimp, and sea scallops) well prepared again lightly battered and not greasy and the prime rib. Now I always get the end cut because I feel that is where the most flavor is and since we were not eating at 5 o'clock that is all that was left. This had to be one of the best cuts of prime rib I ever had. Flavorful and juicy, with plenty of juice on the plate. Served with horseradish sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. The service was good and the desserts were as good as the main course. Definitely will be back on our next trip to the area.

Once again, fantastic. Fresh food, creative dishes, wonderful service. One of the rare examples of why paying a bit more is well worth it for a great meal out.

Outstanding food, enjoyed the shrimp stuffed w/crab imperial, and crab cakes. Fresh bistro style preparation. Highest recommendation!

They have a kids' menu told by the waitress. I wouldn't bring kids if they are the kind to run around. But my 7 year old loves to get Shirley Temple's and be fancy. The atmosphere was inviting. You can talk and laugh, but be relaxed and enjoy yourself. The food was very good, I would definitely return again.

Service was excellent. My wife did not care for the Shrimp stuffing, They made her a different meal and threw in dessert

I have eaten all over the east coast and gulf and this is the best cooked nicest prepared and tastes the best I’ve had! It’s a must try and a come again place to go!
