DoeBoy's Taste of Chicago

One of my new favorite places to eat. It's real food, cooked perfectly, and cheap. Especially considering the quantity AND quality of what they serve.

My favorite is their Gyro Fries. I add double meat and it's still cheaper than a value meal anywhere else. Not to mention that it taste so much better for the price.

The $3 burger and fries combo from 11am-1pm is hard to pass up too. REAL beef patty AND plenty of fries for only three bucks. Also have a hot dog & other choices for the same price.

If you've never had gyro meat before, this is where you want the first time to be. I've had it from fancy, high dollar restaurants in big cities and DoeBoys can top all of 'em. It really is that good!

I'm impressed with the quality, flavors, and service I've consistently received here. Really can't say enough good about them. I'm a fan of local eatery's over food chains and this is a prime example of why.

Fantastic food, extremely reasonable prices, friendly service. No frills, just excellently executed basics. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, and I was a little concerned when it came out because the fry on the chicken looked dark, like it was almost burnt. Turns out though, it was just perfectly flash-fried - the outside was crispy and delightfully crunchy, and the inside was extremely juicy and perfectly well done. My friend could not stop raving about how good their burger was. The fries were great and really well seasoned, too. Overall this place was a big win, really glad that we chose to stop in here.

I went last night for the first time. I got a double cheese burger (no bun because I am gluten sensitive) with fries. When I tell you that is the best burger I have ever had in kilgore, I mean it! And the fries were salted and peppered which I loved. The burger was so juicy and the cheese was so yummy melted. I enjoyed every bite. I definitely recommend going here. It is the best food for the best price! The food was so fresh and hot. Thank you for the great experience!

Curious... 1 mile from Kilgore College on Hwy 259 and not much student traffic at all. Hidden gem - great tasting cheeseburger and fries for $3! They have Chicago style Gyros as well. If you have never eaten one, the best description is you're missing out. I live in Longview but I will be back!

Let’s play should be a tourist attraction for Kilgore Texas! These guys know how to cook. The price is insane and the food is beyond phenomenal!!! Folks you want your moneys worth with good taste and good service, then Doeboy’s taste of Chicago in Kilgore is the place to go. They will put other place is out of business I guarantee it they are that good.

We picked up food and took it for a picnic and really enjoyed it. There was something for everyone and the food was really good and reasonably priced.

Wow! Excellent burger and more place you can almost drive by and miss, but shouldn’t. Great flavor and price. Fries are seasoned. Burgers taste amazing. Find this little hidden gem and check them out. Service was pleasant and kind. You can tell they get to know their regulars.

This place is AMAZING! It’s the perfect spot to go when I’m feeling homesick. I’m originally from Chicago and moved to Texas in August 2022. They have the best beef, pizza puffs, gyros, hotdogs and more! I was having a stressful day and was missing home. Thank you for being there! Owners are super nice too! 10/10 I recommend!

Great spot to get a quick bite. Stopped by with some coworkers and received our food quickly. It was hot and delicious. Everything is extremely reasonably priced. There's nowhere in town that you can get a great tasting burger and fries, chicken strips and fries, corn dogs...DELICIOUS tasting food for $5. You can't beat it. There was a steady flow of customers coming in while we were there. Not sure why there weren't more. Go eat here now!

I definitely want to try other things on the menu but that chicago dog is 🔥. Best chicago dog I've had in yeeeaaarrrss. Authentic fresh ingredients. The fries are also very good and seasoned. Really respect and appreciate the price of the items as well! Very affordable. This is a diamond in the rough for sure.

I am impressed. I have eaten gyros all over the country and to find this gem of Chicago style gyro here in East Texas, is amazing!!! The French fries were good too!!

Nowhere can you get a cheeseburger and fries for $3.00. And the sweet young lady asked us how we enjoyed our food. My husband's burger/fries was $7 but not sure what he ordered.

LOVE this place, the food is spectacular, I like the double cheeseburgers (they have a triple) but they also have a whole line of other options to try, all kinds of Chi-town favorites and the pricing is like wow

This little hole in the wall has one of if not the best burgers in east texas. Alongside their burgers are hot dogs, gyros, Italian beef, and more all at a more than reasonable price. If you haven't tried them yet then you are completely missing out.

We went there tonight. My husband had the Italian Beef w/ sausage & peppers which he said was really delicious & juicy. I had the gyro which was sooo good. The French fries were just crispy enough on the outside, & light & fluffy on the inside.
We can't wait to go back!
We have been back a few times, but today decided on the cheeseburger combo. The burger was delicious & so affordable. They weren't the frozen premade burgers, these were hand formed & cooked & seasoned to perfection. You can't go wrong at Doe Boy's. Will be going back for lunch this work week.

First time eating here and we will be regular customers from now on. The burgers were fresh and made to order. My husband asked the owner what a gyro was and he brought him a sample AND we weren't disappointed! The meat was superb! We'll be trying the gyros next for sure. If you're in the area like we were definitely stop by and try the food.

What a wonderful place to eat. I question how in the world do they make such a large burger and fries all real not processed at such a cheap price. Thank you so much I pray your able to keep it coming I would pay double what you charge and not blink a eye. McDonald’s is more expensive

Absolutely fantastic burgers and a great price. Definitely recommend to everyone! Friendly/quick service with great food. I wish they had a but more seating but even with that, still absolutely deserves 5 stars.
