Ken and his team handled the listing of a family home. From the initial contact, finding comparable properties, listing agreement details to readying the home for photos, and finally putting in the listing, all steps were well thought-out and communicated in a timely manner. He was very thoughtful in taking into account some special considerations regarding meeting arrangements. He kept us updated as showings were booked and as offers came in. Once the offer period closed, each offer was reviewed with us to ensure we understood all options. We had a terrific experience selling our home with Ken Van Every. We had contacted him about getting our house on the market several months beforehand since we had work (painting and small repairs) we wanted to do in the house, and he was right there with us, touching base, offering advice on preparation, and making recommendations for specialists if we wanted to have some work done rather than do it ourselves. Realtors sometimes get a reputation for trying to sell you a house by pushing you into one. Not Ken. We worked with Ken for over a year to find the perfect house (in a difficult market) and with his guidance, we did! More important than anything is Ken's integrity. He was always honest with us and never hesitated to point out defects or things he thought we would not like. He got to know us, which meant that he knew what we were looking for and wanted to get us THAT house, not just ANY house. His engineering background also helped us see things we otherwise might not have thought of, saving us in the long run.
