Alfredo's Mexican Restaurant

Great service and phenomenal food. Honestly one of the best restaurants in Central Texas. Like four employees stop by our table on multiple occasions just to check and see if we needed anything and to make sure that we were happy with everything. The prices are fair may be a little on the high side but that’s OK cause it’s worth it. Definitely recommend highly.

First time visit on Valentine’s Day and Alfredo’s didn’t disappoint. You’re greeted by friendly staff as soon as you enter the door. The inside was spotless and busy with music, food and good ambience. We decided to eat outside, I order the tamales plate and my wife ordered enchiladas. You’ll enjoy the Mexican culture and lake view from the dining table. Our waitress Maria was five star!!!! She provided great customer service and was a crowd pleaser. Maybe next time Alfredo’s can add a frozen pina colada. We’ll definitely be back soon with the rest of our family and friends.

We heard about this place from watching The Day Tripper and thought we stop in next time we were going through Lampasas. You never know what to expect and this place exceeded all expectations.
You can tell the quality of the place when you walk in and smell the delicious food. Our mouths watered from the beginning. We started with small bowl of queso, because why not, and it was very flavorful. You knew it was real deal food at that point. The homemade tortillas with the poblano chicken dish I had complimented everything and my wife's enchiladas had some of the best sauce we've tasted in long time.
We are already planning on what we can have next time we go through there. Just make note that they are cash only and have ATM in store if you need it.
Stop in and you will not regret this place. highly recommended!

Outstanding restaurant with a beautiful courtyard by the river. Each of our parties dishes were excellent. The service was exceptional. Many thanks to Phillip for a great first experience here.

Get the sharable fajita skillet! The chicken was so tender and full of flavor. Was also highly impressed by the Mango margaritas. They didn't have a strong taste of alcohol but then they hit with a swift buzz andee minutes later. The staff is also very attentive and provided great service. The restaurant was very clean inside and out which is something I always appreciate.

We ordered street tacos and the Alfredo's Plate. Absolutely delicious. Also had homemade flour tortillas and pralines.
Everything was so good.
Service was super fast and friendly. We will be back.

There’s no such thing as quicker service. I came at an extremely busy Friday night and there was nowhere to park. A line at the entrance. This was the longest wait I experienced, at about 10 minutes. When I was seated, I got my food after 5 min of ordering. I couldn’t believe it. They were working extremely fast turning tables on tables but were accommodating at the same time. Really good food, not your generic run of the mill Mexican food. Very authentic, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Pricing ranges from about $9-$12 a plate on the dinner menu. I had the Alfredo Plate (pictured) and was pleased with it.

The food was awesome. The waitress that we had Paulina was amazing. She was always checking on us. I had the talpia plate. It was awesome. My husband had the cheeseburger. He enjoyed it. This is a great place to eat.

Great Mexican food, good portions at reasonable prices. Alfredo is often there greeting customers. The only downside: cash only. There is an ATM, but regulars know the cash only policy.

I enjoyed every bite of my food. Very tasty. The by the side hot sauce was hot enough for me.

We just stopped in for the first time while driving though on a road trip. The restaurant was decorated for Halloween, and it was so fun! Even better, the workers were attentive and the food was delicious. For an appetizer we had the queso compuesto and it was FANTASTIC. I had the chicken quesadillas for dinner and I think they may have been the best quesadillas I’ve ever had. The chick itself was great. My husband had the suicide burrito with beef and enjoyed it as well! We highly recommend and will be back when we’re in the area again!

This is the best Mexican food restaurant! Alfred's is the absolute best! Their hot sauce and cheese enchiladas are the best ever! We stop here every time we come through Lampasas. They only accept cash though.

Salsas and chips are good and their guacamole was really good - some of the best I ever had. I was not impressed with their queso. It's a nice place outside of town and I would go back to eat there again.

Have known the family personally for years. Alfredo himself is a perfectionist when it comes to his business. Best ingredients prepared properly for the customer.

We love this place! Philip knows our orders before we sit down and always welcomes us with a hug. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything is consistently amazing!

Absolutely love this place! The view is great quite lovely. And that was some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. If I'm ever in the Lampasas area again I will definitely return.

This place was absolutely amazing! We were first-timers and it far exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Starting with the server to the appetizer, which we got the fried jalapeños. They came out very fast and very fresh, to the chips and salsa. Everything was fresh and hot! I ordered the taco salad and the hubs the beef fajitas. Let me say that taco salad was the best I've ever had! It actually had SEASONED ground beef which shocked me as it's never seasoned. The fajita beef was all meat, ZERO fat! And did I mention the scenery? It's beautiful and the outdoor patio area is light, breezy, and fun! Anyway, it was delicious and we can't wait to go back!

Our waiter Phillip was amazing. The vibes of this restaurant is awesome. The food was amazing and we leftovers to take home! Definitely going back!
