Jim's Steak & Spaghetti House

Our first visit to this restaurant, all i can say is hands down the best spaghetti & ravioli. Coming from a pasta lover! I love how i got to do 1/2 spaghetti & 1/2 ravioli, awesome option. Rest of our family got the steak sandwich, they all loved it. Friendly server,very knowledgeable & sweet, Abby. & once we were all done, a nice woman came up and heard it was our first time & gave us a choice of a free candy / gum. so sweet!!! thank you guys!! if we are ever back, will for sure stop again!

A Huntington institution and my favorite place. I always feel right at home. The spaghetti with meat sauce is so good. My second favorite menu item is the cheeseburger on toast. 🤤 We always end the meal with pie and coffee. Bonus points for how clean this restaurant is!! The place is spotless.

Best Spaghetti and Cheese Ravioli EVER!! Except for my Sister’s of course. I always get the 1/2 and 1/2 with Coke (No Ice) and a slice of Apple Pie. I could be having the worst day ever, and eating at Jim’s is an instant mood pleaser. I highly recommend this establishment from the food, to the wonderful service!!

This restaurant has the best spaghetti I've ever had at any restaurant! I've been eating here occasionally for the past 3 years now and I absolutely love this place!

Family owned and operated for 86 years. Need one say more. It's an impeccably clean, efficiently run, American icon.

When I googled restaurants in the area and saw this one I had to go eat the just because of my younger son Jim who passed away 6 years ago and it being Jim's Steak & Spaghetti...

It was the best!! ***** of course I ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce. It was delicious... I ordered the meal that came with slaw and I chose ice tea and hot roll. The slaw was served first and ice never seen slaw made like that before! It was so good, refreshing taste and just the right sweetness to it. It looked like a scoop of ice cream!

Then i had to have the Carmel Swirl Apple pie Alamode and that was fabulous!

I will probably eat the again tomorrow!

I loved the ambiance of the past and the uniforms and old time clean feel of a real diner!! It's good when things stay the same and I'm sure that goes for the quality of their food as well. It's definitely a hit!!

Spaghetti was authentic and noodles cooked in salted water as they should be. Blackberry pie and chocolate cream pie were well worth the calories.

Sauce reminded me of the old Italian supper club as a kid. Loved it! Waitress was so friendly, very homey take you back atmosphere. Will definitely order take out and also return for dine in. Everything was so good and tasted homemade. Chocolate cream pie was very good also.

This is a great spot to go hang out, meet people, and have a great meal. Everyone is really friendly. They have great service and very tasty food. You know me, if it wasn't a good spot, I would not say anything. Much less add a pic. Go visit when you're in Huntington, WV.
So, I'm from ST. Croix. Who would have thought, at Jim's Restaurant, I would meet someone who visited and played golf in my hometown? It was a great experience reminiscing with you big B. Thank you for the service. Go play golf in St.Croix again.

Quaint restaurant with a retro, 50s Diner kinda feel. Waitresses in old-fashioned garments, hostess to seat us, counter seats in the center of the place - great atmosphere! Food was excellent and came at very economical prices. Staff was good-natured and fun to talk to, asked about a JFK photo on the wall and was informed that he visited here back in 1960! Had a plate of spaghetti and apple pie for dessert, couldn't ask for a better dinner. A well-deserved reputation as a must-see restaurant in Huntington!

My grandparents lived near Huntington for the longest time, and still go to their eye doctor in the area. Whenever they go, I ride along and we make a day trip out of it. Jim's is always our lunch spot. The vibe inside is old-timey, especially with the waitresses outfits, but that's as Jim would have wanted it! I hear so many cool stories from my grandparents about him, as they knew him personally. Not only is the service amazing, but the food is even better. I'll have to be making a trip down with them soon. There isn't a parking lot, so make sure you're comfortable parking on the street!

This place is AWESOME. I loved it. It is super cool because it is trapped in a time warp and I say that in a good way. The place is super clean but it looks like it is from the mid fifths. The waitresses where dresses - real Americona.

The menu is simple and the food was awesome. I had the small spaghetti dinner with coleslaw and rolls but also ordered the steak burger with cheese. The meat spaghetti sauce is great and the spaghetti was great. I really liked the coleslaw. The steak burger was really good. The service was super. I would eat there again when I am in the area.

Only down side is they only except cash no credit cards or debit cards.

I love Jim's. The atmosphere is fun, the food is good, and the staff members are very nice. They have even hired their first Male waiter in 80 years! I would recommend Jim's to anyone who likes spaghetti.

One thing to be aware of is that they do not accept credit/debit cards (I don't find this a downside. It's just something to be aware of).

Old school diner atmosphere. Very nice establishment. Generous portions of food at a fair price.

I remember going to Jim’s as a kid with my Grandmother, very nostalgic , great service and meal. Opened in 1938 has also served many celebrity’s and JFK.

A welcome bit of nostalgia in a setting and quality for presidents, but affordable for all, Jim's has it all. This restaurant has been lovingly kept in as great a condition as it was in the 60's, from entry to seating and atmosphere. This place is a landmark as well, and has hosted many great personalities, from President John F. Kennedy to Presidents Clinton and Bush and several in-between (and, yes, it's marked..... You can sit where JFK sat ☺). The menu is a real treat as well, with many options for every appetite. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the menu is varied, but not overloaded, and the food simply fantastic. You must try the spaghetti with meat sauce... It'll make you forget Skyline at first bite, it's that tasty, and if I'm not wrong was there first. What we've found in our several visits over the years, is that there is nothing you'll order that isn't tasty. This is another of those places where the coffee is great as well. Combine that with pricing that'll make you smile (nice way of saying that you can eat very well here and not break the bank), and you have a winning combination that is....... Jim's

A staple of Huntington, Jim's has been around for generations to enjoy. The food leaves nothing to complain about, delicious and healthy portions.
Stepping into the restaurant is almost like going back in time to a classic diner down to the modest small drinking glasses but don't worry the staff will make sure the glass never runs dry.
Not only was my waitress extremely helpful but any staff walking by made sure to check on us. Everyone's a genuine friendly face.
If available you can dine at the same table that JFK, John Kerry, and Bill Clinton ate at.
The foods priced fair but be advised they don't accept plastic so bring cash or you can use the ATM by the front door.

Love this diner. Staff are so attentive. Family owned and operated for generations. The only restaurant where I feel compelled to get pie. A Huntington must do.
