George Markos Park

Didn't go there. Only passed by. Nice and clean park. Only benches and a swing set. Nice looking neighborhood small park.

For a small park I was really pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was to run the trails (concrete and some dirt) :).

Wonderful paved nature trail 3/4 of a mile long from start to finish. Dog friendy place to walk with your four legged friends. Clean and litter free, more than one couple walks this daily and picks up litter as they go.

George Markos Park, one of the most beautiful, tranquil and picturesque parks in Ft.Worth, I would have to say. It starts with the name, Mr. Markos happens to be the first Tarrant County resident to make the ultimate sacrifice in the Vietnam War. Next attribute would have to be location, location, location. Nestled away in far west Ft.Worth, its borders run along a water way know as Farmers Branch, slightly downstream from multiple confluences. It also cuts it's way through several housing divisions circa 80's and 90's construction, and is best described as very Americana or an all American neighborhood. The kind of place where the police come and get your cat out of the tree. Last but not least the facilities. There are around 7-8 park benches and tables along a 3/4 mile walking trail that twists and turns along the creek. There is a well maintained and modern play area next to a small pavillion like area. It seems like everytime that I walk along or through the park, I discover something new. Try this for a different view, walk the length of the park in the creek bed, it's an amazing journey.

This park hits home to me! Was my childhood favorite so hopefully your kiddos can enjoy it as much as I did and still do :)

My child loves this park, we walk to it and not alot of traffic. It's a nice nieghborhood park.

I love this little park by my kids school I'll admit though they need to figure out a way to treat it for ants.
