Diamond Fitness

This review really needs to be split into 3 parts: 1) The custom Finnish sauna Diamond installed in my master bathroom 2) The adjoining master shower remodel 3) Diamond’s professionalism and customer service.

1) The sauna they built is absolutely beautiful. They built it to my exact specifications, used gorgeous western red cedar, and included a top notch heater and accessories. It’s been one and a half years since they built it and I still use it 3-5 times a week. 5 stars.

2) The shower remodel looked great after Diamond rebuilt it (with some minor issues with the shower fittings). Unfortunately, we recently discovered that there were several leaks that had been going since it’s installation almost 2 years ago. The damage to the flooring, walls, and shower was considerable. 1 star.

3) After having no contact with Diamond since the initial project was completed in 2021, I called the project manager to inform him of the bad news about the shower. He said he needed to talk to the owner and would call me back with a plan. He did, and 3 days later, they made the trip from Dallas to Houston and spent a weekend rebuilding a section of the shower. Ultimately, they weren’t able to resolve the issue, so they worked with another remodeling contractor until the shower and flooring were fixed. No runaround. No blame game. They stood by me until the job was done right and I was made whole. 5 stars.

So, in conclusion, of course I wish the job would’ve been perfect when they left the first time, but in big projects like this stuff happens. You only really know what kind of company you’re dealing with when things go wrong. Diamond made it right in the end and was professional the entire time. The owner even wrote me a handwritten note apologizing for the misses. I would recommend Diamond for any sauna build and would use them again if I ever move.

Not very friendly on the phone. I thought people in Texas were nicer.
