Playtri Colleyville

My experience of bike build and fit at Playtri Colleyville was fantastic! The build was super quick and Todd worked with me to accommodate for my schedule! Todd was so knowledgeable for my bike fit, he took the time necessary to adjust to the perfect fit for me! :) highly recommend this location for any bike needs/ service!

I took my road bike for a much needed service and fixing a couple issues, and my Tri bike for a couple of issues.
James and Todd took care of the bikes and me.
The road bike now feels and sounds like a new bike again, and my Tri bike is ready for the next race.

Great bike shop. They are accommodating, helpful and pleasant. I found their prices to be very competitive too. I was considering buying a MB online - because there are some very good "online only" bikes brands these days - but as I talked people who bought "online only" bikes many said they would never do it again because parts and repairs took 4 to 6 months. I'm very happy buying local from these guys at a good price.

I travelled from out of state to compete in a national championship race in the Dallas area. I didn't want to deal with flying my bike down, and a few months before the race, I contacted the shop to reserve a tri bike rental. I was a little nervous Todd didn't ask for a deposit to hold it because I'm really tall and sometimes finding bikes that fit me can be tricky. But everything went great when I showed up to pick up the bike the day before the race. They set me up on a beautiful new Fuji, and Chris took great care to get my fit dialed in, making proper adjustments for my body position and personal preferences. Felt just like I was riding my own bike, and I was able to secure a podium spot! Thank you Todd and Chris! Will definitely return again if I need another rental!

Austin was very helpful and explains every detail of the bike. I was excited to test drive before buying also. My husband and I are super happy with our purchase! Thank you again!!

Nice, clean and well organized. Chris was friendly and very helpful. He took the time to answer my questions, and was paitent with me. I ended up getting a Cannondale Trail 4 SE. Great bike and great customer service.

This shop is great. James in the service department is awesome. Very knowledgeable and performs meticulous repair work. On multiple occasions he has repaired my bikes on the spot. They also have a great selection of bikes for sale. Way better than other local shops!

Outstanding shop! Rarely do I write reviews about business and shame on me for not doing my part but, I felt absolutely compelled to write this one following my experience here.

I walked in about a week ago with no knowledge of riding or training for a triathlon and humbly asked for help. The staff members were more than eager to share their own personal experiences and simultaneously were able to find a bike that fit my size (290 lbs. 6'3" frame) and also got me in something that fit my budget.

Yesterday I walked out with the right fit, the right bike and the confidence to take on a long ride. As of this morning, I took part on a 20 mile ride and got off feeling accomplished, happy and most important comfortable with the confidence to stretch out another ride tomorrow morning.

100% recommend stopping here for running, biking or swimming. They have it all and are very experienced in what they are selling which is their own experiences in the disciplines we want to achieve.

I had a great experience working with Steve on buying my first gravel bike. I was somewhat nervous as a "big guy", but Steve helped with the right fit, various options, and accessories needed to get me started. In my case, I needed to have my bike shipped and that was no issue at all either - I received it in a matter of days. Very smooth easy transaction.

It was my first time coming to this location. I must say I was highly satisfied. Steve was very informative and helped me pick out the perfect shoe for my bike. He gave me some awesome tips and truly values his customers as they come in. Gilberto was amazing and really knowledgeable with all my bike needs. He was an incredible master tech and his son was Thebomb.com as well who also works a long side him. They made sure my bike fit my needs and adjusted it to perfectly fit me. They took the time and efforts to truly help me out so I can be Triathlon ready. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart ❤. I honestly recommend this place to anyone especially athletes like myself.

I shopped Playtri Colleyville first, last...and, now, ALWAYS! These guys have all gone above and beyond for me every time I walk in. Plus they literally have the BEST selection of bikes in DFW! I know this because I went to at least 10 other stores looking and nobody came close.

When I bought my road bike, Todd, the store manager, ordered in the bike for me from their warehouse, put it together, and let me test ride it before I committed to buying it. I loved it and did buy it, at which point he made sure I had the perfect fit.

I also love how they give you free adjustments and tune ups for the first 90 days and how you can trade in for another bike if you don't love yours in the first 30 days. I did need to take my in for some adjustments and it was simple and easy.

I also bought a bike rack from them for the back of my SUV and both Tony and Steve, the store owner, were kind enough to attach it my vehicle for me! Honestly, I would have been so frustrated if I had to figure it out on my own, so I was really appreciative of this.

I really can't recommend Playtri Colleyville enough. It's really only a leanly-run 3 man shop, so I'm sure they could get busy. But I've never had anything but a great experience in there. Prices are all good. Selection is great. Service is Excellent!

Amazing place and experience... walked in the store a few days back and Steve immediately assisted me.

Being new to the sport and buying my first bike it was great to have someone guide me on how to get started, I needed a lot of guidance and accessories to get me riding.

From helping me find a bike that met my needs, measuring me to customize the bike, to coaching me on my first test run... it was truly a pleasure doing business with Steve and Playtri, I plan on visiting them for my future needs.

I’ve met some helpful bike techs before but these guys are on another level. Helped me get new pedals on my bike, put some cleats on my shoes and gave me pointers until I was able to figure out how to clip in and out after never having done it before. Prices are reasonable also.

I had a mechanical issue riding in the neighborhoods behind the shop. Rolled up 15 minutes before close and Chris took the time to stay past close and get me sorted out.

I very much appreciated it, especially since I only spent 80$ on parts. I don't shop at bike shops that won't give you the time of day unless you're looking at an 8k Cervello.

My husband has always had a great experience purchasing anything he needs tri-related from colleyville play tri. The owner is very friendly. The business is well run and military friendly. Prices are fair. Selection is great. Highly recommend.

These people are super nice.
They go out of their way to try to satisfy their customers.
They had ordered the wrong tires for me, and when I went there to pick them up, they immediately ordered the correct ones.
We were hoping to go for a Bike ride over the weekend, and when the tires hadn't arrived by Friday, the manager drove to the warehouse, and picked them up, so we would have them for our weekend ride..

I did some research online and was very impressed with Playtri Colleyville's bike selection so I decided to visit the store when I was in town. I was very happy and satisfied with my experience! Steve was great to work with, and extremely knowledgable about triathlon gear. I ended up buying a road bike and they went through an extensive bike fitting then packaged my bike up and shipped it. I would highly recommend visiting their store if you need any gear for triathlons!

I just picked up my new MTB from PlayTri and I could not be happier with Steve and the service department.

My bike came to an unfortunate end. I refused to sit on a waiting list for another bike at other stores. I emailed Steve and got a reply within hours. A new bike was in my garage 24 hours within me sending my email.

There is not a bike shop during this pandemic able to deliver results like this anywhere in DFW right now.

I reached out to all of them.

Steve was the most polite to speak to, and the most kind to deal with. His tech team kindly showed me what the other store said was wrong with my other bike.

After riding a new bike my mind it was time to say good bye to my 15 year old MTB.

I will never visit another bike shop and neither should any of you.
