Superb job overall. Our shutters were manufactured precisely, and the finish was perfect. Installation for 15 windows was done in less than a day, and we were 100% satisfied with the results. They function flawlessly. Southern Shutters is very easy work with. They went out of their way to get all the work done on our schedule. We recommend them highly.

The sales experience was very professional, conducted by the owner and very focused on the form, fit and function of this system. It took several weeks to manufacture the shutters but when installed, they matched exactly the trim color originally used in my home. Tommy, a 20+ year install professional was very thorough ensuring exact fit and balance of each shutter. The environmental difference the shutters made in both retaining the cool and blocking out the cold coupled with the fashionable interior look is amazing. Chris (the owner) met me at the house. He arrived early and by the time I got there, the quote was ready. He clarified a few items I needed to choose, and VOILA, we were done. One of the best parts of the process was that they mailed two samples of painted wood to ensure the color was correct. It matched, but if there was a difference, I had the chance to correct it. The price was competitive, but the quality was above and beyond making it an excellent value. Tommy was the installer, and man was he the best. He is experienced, careful and attentive to the smallest details. He was also careful to clean up and leave the windows better than he found them. All in all, I give this company my wholehearted recommendation.

Southern shutters did an absolutely amazing job. They were easy to work with every step of the way. I am very happy with how my shutters turned out. The color is a perfect match to my baseboards and they are so smooth. They look like they have been in my house forever and complete each room.

Please note that as I relate a story about my experience with Southern Shutters, that I gave them 5 stars and would have given more, but no way to do that.
I placed a call to them to find out more about what they offer and to get a ROUGH estimate on cost. Skyler was a pleasure to deal with, including giving me the estimate I had requested. We set an appointment and Jeff (factory rep and the person who would measure for the shutters) called to confirm, and showed up on time. Got a call within the time frame I had been given for the production. Eddie came out to install. He too was a pleasure and set about to get the shutters installed. Unfortunately he had an accident and broke a window (no injuries to anyone). He found me to explain that he had the accident, that It was totally his fault, that he had already called the office and they were setting about getting the replacement glass. As it turned out the glass could not be replaced, rather the entire door panel needed to be replaced. Skyler ordered the panel, arranged for its installation and had their painter (Vincent, also a pleasure) come out to paint the panel and in fact all of the pieces in the window system so as to ensure all parts color matched.
This was without doubt the BEST SERVICE I have had from any company in years. And, oh by the way, the shutters are great looking!!! All of the people I had contact with at Southern Shutters were great, but special commendations to Skyler for her overseeing the entire process and doing in so positive a way. Consider this a 6 star review!!!

Southern Shutters was wonderful from Chris’ first visit until installation. Chris helped advise and even installed temporary shades. Quote arrived promptly and was easily understood. They kept us updated while shutters were made. Installation was great, and we are thoroughly enjoying the shutters.

We’ve had to replace or repair our shutters several times since the initial install due to our destructive dog. Each time, the team at Southern Shutters has been fantastic. We used them at our last house and we got so many complements on it. They are super responsive and know how to treat their customers. Their shutters are amazing quality - you won’t find better. I recently lost my bride of fifty years to cancer and consequently put our house in the country up for sale. Loved the time and attention dedicated to details...expert fitting for inside and outside mounts. Paint is beautiful. Don't even consider non-custom shutters...no comparison to these. Eddie is a real craftsman!

We did our due diligence when searching for a shutter company. After meeting with 3 different companies, we finally decided to go with Southern Shutters Shades and Blinds. Tony came out for the consultation and was very helpful. Apparently, we have unique trim work, and they had to get creative on the look and installation. Installation day came, and nothing fit correctly. Needless to say we were pretty disappointed. We were looking forward to our new shutters. Tony and the Southern Shutters team were very apologetic, took new measurements, and put a rush on our order. They had the order turned around and our new shutters installed within 2 weeks. This time they did not disappoint. We couldn't be happier with the way they turned out! They certainly made it right and ensured we were taken care of.
