Streets Market and Cafe

Top notch neighborhood marker/grocer. Supplies hard to locate organic products which bigger chains (Whole Foods; Yes market) fail to supply. They also have a tea and sandwich shop located in house. Nice touch for anyone who’s seeking a quick, and healthy bite “on the go”

Ate here at least twice a week for two years. Their bowls are fantastic - healthy, tasty, and great portions. Staff is super friendly. Grocery is more expensive than supermarkets, but so convenient. It’s also great supporting local businesses and the bodega model

I've walked past this joint for what seems like an eternity, but I've never had the chance to go inside and check out the greatness. At first glance, it reminded me of a slimmed down version of the typical chain grocery store spread out across the city. There were a few shoppers inside on this Tuesday morning, and mostly what I saw were the workers busy stocking shelves. Some of the items that I came across seemed slightly high in price, but I'm pretty sure this is the case everywhere in DC now. Higher prices = part of the fun! I think that this store has pretty much everything one would expect in a grocery store. They have a well-stacked produce section, as well as, general produce. I even noticed a cooler dedicated for Ben & Jerry's ice cream. The price for the ice cream wasn't discernable, but as long as it's not more than $7.00, I would be cool with that! Nice place, nice vibe!

We adore this place - honestly this is one of our favorite little treasures. It's a small store that seems to have everything that you need, whether it's yogurt or niche Asian dumpling wrappers. It's got an excellent wine and beer selection. The hot food is fantastic - the bowls are such great value and super tasty. They sell boba and coffee. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the store is clean and safe. What more do you need! Streets is the best!

Fun spot for happy hour! They have a deal for 2 slices of pizza and a happy hour well drink for $10!!!! Such a good deal! I got the vacation boi drink.

A great spot when you need to grab anything quickly. The sandwiches are delicious and I always enjoy their pre-made meals as well. I have tried just about everything here and have yet to be disappointed.

I’m in Streets 1-2x per week because I live nearby. The employees are so cheerful and helpful, the store is always super clean and well stocked and I think it is very reasonably priced when compared to larger stores.
I typically don’t do my full food shopping here but I definitely rely on it for certain items and when I’m in a pinch!

We live about 400 feet from Streets and have gone there dozens of times of the past few years. I must say that it has always been a pleasant experience! The prices are not inexpensive (though wine/beer and the deli counter are reasonably priced) but it is extremely convenient and what’s there is generally of high quality. We normally go to nearby Harris Teeter or Trader Joe’s for the bast majority of our grocery shopping and go to Streets to pick up things we forgot to get or things we crave, like ice cream. We really like Streets!

This is a store that does just enough of everything. It's not super cheap, but I disagree with other reviewers who say it is expensive. They have a decent selection of wine & beer, meats, produce, normal grocery staples. Their prepared foods and deli counter are good. I have found their staff to be consistently friendly and helpful. After several years of going to Safeway, MOM's Organic, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods, I find Streets to be a good mix national brands, local and organic, and ethnic food. It's not huge, but just enough of everything I'm looking for.

I have made this my go to grocery store since COVID started. Aside from the overly polite staff, the store is clean, well-stacked, convenient, and surprisingly diverse in products. The only qualm i have is with their produce which is...questionable at best. However, being a previous small market manager, I do understand that this is probably sure to turnover of goods and not everyone is going to Streets to buy their cilantro etc. Overall, three prices are a little higher than big box stores but it's much faster and I'd rather support a smaller biz anyway.

Excellent high end corner store with deli. Wide range of groceries and convenience goods at generally good prices. Competitive on many items with much larger grocery chains and significantly better value than Yes! Market. Excellent range of craft beers and budget wines. All in all, I'm pretty lucky to have them on my block

I’ve been here several times, and I can confirm that the customer service is excellent. The variety of options is worth coming for several times. They everything from fresh groceries to fresh made sandwiches.

Great grocery store with a very wide selection of veggies, meats, frozen meals, wines beers, as well as a to go deli with great tasting array of sandwiches. It's a little pricey but not as pricey as whole foods.

Located right around the corner from me currently....nice selection of fruits and veggies at reasonable costs.....everything else is pretty much over priced tbh in terms of grocery needs....alcohol is available.... regular prices if not slightly above average...breakfast here is awesome!!!! 4.99 for a bacon egg and cheese sammich!! If not for the price, kinda reminds me of back home (NYC)

Fresh sushi, excellent beer/wine selection, & large produce section.. what else do you need from your local grocery store?? I can always find what I'm looking for and am grateful for the organic and sustainable options.

I like their quality and selection. Everything looks beautiful. They have a lot of people working. Fair prices. Great options including for vegans. But also all good stuff.

We went here the first time because it is very close to where we live, but we discovered that Streets has a very good selection, particularly when it comes to Asian staples and veggies/fruits. They also have a kitchen and you can get sandwiches, sushi, roasted chicken et c.

Must Must support Streets Market! I saw a sanitizing crew here last night! Wow! Why isn't every store doing this? I love Streets, I love their prepared foods. Seeing them protecting the public? I love them more! Way to go Streets!

Streets Market is a game changer in the neighborhood. Great selection of products, prices not more than Whole Foods (other closest grocery) and friendly staff! I love Streets Market!
