Bissell Mansion Restaurant & Dinner Theatre

Vegan friendly! Before going I called to let them know I needed a vegan plate. They were very accommodating. The whole experience was very enjoyable. Food service was very professional.

We had a wonderful time! My boss took us there for a company dinner, and it was so much fun! The actors were friendly and hilarious, and they did an excellent job of picking everyone's parts.

I usually loathe shows with audience participation, but this was low pressure and fun, and the actors don't pick on or embarrass you. The jokes are corny, but I laughed at every single one!

Great food, great time!

I wanted to write a review of our experience because not all of the prior reviews were great. We had a great time at the murder mystery dinner. The production was fun and cute. Everyone got a speaking part so you felt involved. The food was good.. Not amazing but that is not why we went there. The parking lot was well lit and they had a security guard so I always felt safe. Would definitely go here again!

We had so much fun here! I was a little worried that it might be too cheesy but we really enjoyed ourselves with just the right amount of cheesyness. The actors were awesome and really funny, good humored, and patient! My friend and I took small roles in the play and it was so cool!The food was very good I had the fish with almond sauce, my friend had the parmesan chicken but said it was bland so they replaced it with the steak and he loved it. Everyone around us had a good time. The group of ladies sitting next to us got a little drunk and started cackling and talking loudly so it was a bit hard to hear the actors. It's also hard to hear the audience actors on the other side of the room. I still highly recommend for a fun date night, or group of friends.

Well, let me tell you. My stomach still hurts from laughing. We had a great table and a great crowd. Everyone got into the audience participation and the people at our table were hilarious without the script. I'm sure that added to my 5 star rating. The food was okay. They were very generous with drinks and wine and there was plenty of food. The script was corny of course and the acting was not what you would get at a theatre but the friendliness and the jokes and the great service was worth it. I was a little worried about the neighborhood with all it's vacant buildings, but the security was on the parking lot so it was safe. Would I go again? You betcha and even going to take friends along. By the way, I felt the old dreary decor added to the old mansion murder ambiance. I didn't even realize the table clothes were vinyl until I read the reviews. Get over it, they are easily wiped up and I felt the price was a bargain.

This was absolutely a wonderful night of entertainment! The actors were funny and did a great job engaging everyone in the room. Our group had the steak which was seasoned and cooked to perfection! They have a house poppyseed salad dressing that was out of this world. And to top it all off, a rich, decadent, chocolaty mousse for dessert. We enjoyed everything and had a superb time! I want to thank everyone, especially Andy, for the awesome service they provided! Kudos to all!! I would DEFINITELY recommend the Bissell Mansion Dinner Theater. We are already planning to return for the Christmas program. Great job guys!!!!

This was the 1st one we have ever gone too. We did it for our anniversary tonight. We went to the Addams Family themed one. I LOVE Addams Family! It was very well done, fun, &entertaining. The staff & actors were great. The food was good. The actors who played Morticia & Gomez were great! It was damn near the perfect characters, the only thing missing was the accent for Gomez which can easily be over looked given how well they played their characters. We plan on going back when we have the chance & maybe even brings friends!

Amazing food, service, atmosphere, script, and performance. Would give 6 stars if we could. My husband was a little apprehensive as he's more of a wall flower and picky about food. Now he can't wait to go back and bring friends. Thank you for a wonderful birthday experience.

Great place for a night of entertainment. I went with my girlfriend and we had a good time. The steak was extremely tasty but I heard the chicken parmesan was chewy. Actors were very funny and it was fun working together to figure out the answer to the mystery. Kris, the person working there, was very friendly as well.

Was there for our Christmas party. The food was great. The show was fun. The staff were excellent and were a lot of fun. The building is neat and we were allowed to look around. Had a blast. Would recommend.

Was an amazing an amazing time. Me and my girlfriend went for our birthdays and everything about it was great. The food was amazing the staff was nice and the acting was great. We decided to make it a ritual to go every year around this time to go.

The entire experience was amazing! I love how they involved the audience in the show! Sometimes it was hard to hear the other audience members, but the actors would say, "so you're saying..." to make sure everyone could hear. The food and service were both amazing as well. Dont worry about it being in a "bad neighborhood", they have security who stays outside and watches the parking lot (very nice guy). We brought our kids (ages 12, 10, and 8) and they loved it too! My 10 year old was the only one in the audience who solved it, so it isnt too difficult for kids. They dont have a "stage", but I think this adds to the experience as the actors are able to interact with the audience on an better level. We weren't sure what to expect, but we are so glad we went! We will be returning for other shows! Thank you to everyone at Bissel mansion who made this an unforgettable experience!

I went to the Bissell House Murder Mystery Dinner for my birthday and it was awesome! I told them upfront that I was handicapped and they reserved a special parking space as close to the building as possible with no stairs to climb. The food was delicious and the actors were hilarious. I hope to go again next year!

We were taken to the mansion by friends for our Anniversary. None of knew what to expect. We laughed so hard we cried. We had a great time and the food was quite good. There were four of us and we tried all three different entrees and none of us were disappointed. I recommend it highly for an evening of fun.

The show, service, staff, food was all very good!! Would love to come back some time!! Was pleasantly surprised it was different then others I have been too and good clean family fun, great for groups!!

Lovely place!! That's if you're into colonial houses. The service was extraordinary and out of this world!! 😍😍👍😊👍 the food AND the chocolate mousse is great and they murder mystery game that's played there is wonderful and fun!! Family friendly as well. I made reservations because it was my husband Duncan's birthday I invited my sister to go with us. We had such a great time. We had a three-course meal, we also participated in a murder mystery then we had to figure out who committed the murder. it was wonderful I had never experienced anything like it before. I would like to go again because they are starting up a new murder mystery it's going to be "CSI". It is a real treat right here in our St. Louis area. This is something you don't want to miss being a part of.

Beautiful old St Louis house, great food and great service. The performance/show was super fun to watch and be a part of. They even had a security officer on duty watching the parked cars. Overall awesome experience!

Fun " murder mystery " interactive dinner in a VERY old historical home. Hot & cold appetizers, salad, nice entree with vegies, dessert & wine. $55 not inc tip. Fun story with alot of laughs. Go for it & have a part in the play !!

This place of business was well worth the trip. The play skits the actors putting were hilarious , the food was excellent and the staff was awesome .
Great time by all .
