Uncle Johns BBQ Stand

Cute place, inside and out ! Everything we ordered was hot and delicious . We had no problems with service or whom I assume was the owner, by the reviews of others I’m guessing he may have been stressed with the opening of a new place and is getting it under control . Do not not go because of his attitude, order take out for I want this place to stick around . Loved my street corn and burnt ends . Place was very clean . Really can’t wait to go back for the dessert, heard there’s a new baker on premises and need to try them out ! Also, thought the prices were very reasonable for how much everything has gone up recently.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long while. It did not disappoint. I got Cheesey Mac & Cheese, Brisket Empanadas and a Salmon Cheesesteak. I know, salmon at a BBQ place. I thought it would balance the empanadas. The live music and free beer was a special surprise bonus. I am not a big Salmon fan. It was a tiny bit fishy but the cole slaw helped hide that. The brisket was tender and juicy. The Cheesey mac and cheese was very cheesey. It got 2 cheesey thumbs up from Mr. Cheesey. Very bummed out that they ran out of the dessert I wanted. The service was fantastic. I knew the songs the guy was singing!!

The food is absolutely wonderful. I have eaten here five times. I have chosen a different menu item each time and all of my food was excellent. The salmon cheese steak with tiny bits of broccoli was sublime, sounds odd but was fantastic. The service is casual walk up style but attentive. The decor is funky, mod looking, making the best of a renovated former gas station. Summertime is best with the outdoor patio and live music.

As a new regular I can’t not share with others how yummy this food is! We always leave with a very full belly. John the owner has a great attitude and has a personal fun touch he brings to his business. We love that there are many seating options inside and out. Tonight he even had a live band! They sounded great too!

This was not my first visit but since I try something new each time I go it can feel like it. Today I tried their brisket veggie soup and a pulled brisket sandwich. The brisket in the soup was so tender it melted in your mouth. I will definitely get that again. The sandwich was also delicious with the spicy BBQ pickles and some coleslaw. While this is not something I normally mention, the iced tea was also very good 👍.

Great place to play and hear music, eat good food, and chat with the nice staff. Best restaurant in Delaware. The food is always off the charts and the staff gives a top notch experience. Well done!

My husband and I had a super rough day at work and were looking for a quick dinner option. This place did not disappoint! The food was amazing and the atmosphere allowed us to decompress. Service and food options are great. We have not tried the breakfast options yet but will definitely be back for those.We both had the brisket sandwich.

Such a Cute atmosphere with beautiful artsy decor and flowers! Friendly staff and great food options! Live music on Fridays. The menu has been expanded since the store opened and I have not had anything less than delicious! The loaded tots will NOT disappoint- highly recommend :)

Everything was delicious, service was great and the desserts were delicious too. Kids had Tots, Fries, Mac & Cheese, roasted corn and corn bread, they ate a little of everything which is rare. They had a cherry vanilla milkshake and Chocolate ice cream. The wifey had pulled pork sandwich with pineapple slaw and BBQ sauce. I had 1/4lb of each pulled pork & chicken and brisket, we thought everything was absolutely delicious. We live around the corner and we are disappointed in ourselves we didn't come sooner, be back again real soon! We brought our beer since they don't serve alcohol, so come prepared. They had live acoustic music set up outside which we knew about through their FB post, seems to be a pretty regular thing which was nice. It felt very much like a backyard hangout. I know I said it already, but can't wait to go back!

We ordered the chicken and dumplings tonight. WOW!!! It was outstanding. All of the flavors were amazing! Our family loved it! The salmon, brisket and soups are also so awesome! We are so excited to have such a great place to go for terrific food. The staff are so nice! We have also been at Uncle Johns barbecue to hear the music! So much fun and a great night out with friends and family! You have to check this place out!

I love their Salmon teriyaki cheese steak. They have live music outside some nights. I need to go back.

We were a large group, we ate in. The Food quality assortment staff were all excellent welcoming and fun!

Nice little surprise of a restaurant, I have passed it many times and finally decided to stop and thankful that I did. We had the salmon BLT and the Nashville Chicken Sandwich, both were great, sides were great, and live music on the weekends!

Great lunch of brisket sandwiches, coleslaw and tater tots today. Staff was pleasant and helpful. An all round excellent experience

Just moved into the neighborhood and drove by so we stopped. So glad we did!! The atmosphere was awesome! Live music was great. Service was even better! Food 10/10!!

Always great food and a fun time at Uncle John’s BBQ! Everything is delicious, staff is friendly and fantastic! I love the music as well! I try to make it at least once a week, so many favorites!

I don't even like barbecue food and this 1 of my go to's. Owner is really nice and the food is delicious, served with a smile. Everyone working makes sure you're taken care of. Completely under rated. Everyone needs to try some Uncle Johns.

Much more than a BBQ stand, great variety of delicious homemade food, friendly staff, relaxing vibe. Every time you come you can get something different, and it's always good.

Amazing food with a rotating menu of daily specials. If you havnt been for brunch your sleeping on something great!

We were looking for a new BBQ place nearby and found Uncle Johns. SO GLAD we gave them a try. We have been back 4 times in three weeks since. I've tried a bit of everything from ribs, to brisket, to salmon, and chicken and waffles and it was all good. Great chicken fingers! The brunch was impressive and delicious. Their smoked BBQ is on point. The staff is helpful and pleasant every time and the outdoor seating and indoor area are very nice and welcoming. Great vibes. Even had live music one night we were there. So fun!

Fun, tasty, local! What more do you need? Don't sleep on it! Go!

Been there once but will be going back...great food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Haven't tried the brisket yet but hear its very good.
