The music is phenomenal, the space is cozy, and the food is simple but soooooo tasty (try the humpty hump with turkey bacon and an everything bagel).

The owner Nes is also a gem and will make sure your stay at Cafe U is nothing short of spectacular.

Stopped in quick on my way through DC and enjoyed this cafe. The iced coffee was delicious and the everything bagel was one of the best bagels I've ever had. Extremely flavorful and fresh! Would absolutely stop again when I am in the area.

This small cafe is amazing. the workers are serious about their jobs, they know are doing, and they are very kind. they gave us some amazing recommendations for what to get, but no matter what you get it will be amazing. The coffee is great and so are their baked goods. I personally recommend the blueberry lemon coffee cake. Disregard any bad reviews you may see. This small coffee shop has it all. we were treated so kindly and I 100% would recommend. It is so amazing and I love this coffee shop. It’s so amazing and delicious. The people are so amazingly kind and the interior is cute and clean. They have many plants in the windows and amazing wood furniture and great lighting. LOVE IT!!! Also, their orange juice is 10/10!!!

This place will definitely be my new go to. Food was DELICIOUS, and the fresh orange juice? Next level. Super genuine staff, great service. Can’t wait to come back!

Cafe U is one of the coziest coffee shops in DC! You can find EVERYTHING there - coffee, bagels, sweets, juices.. you name it! And don’t let me forget about the variety of plants and the walls full of art! Much love for this place!

Love this place! I have had lattes and the lox bagel from here and they’re great! Prices are fair and owner is very kind!

Every detail has been thought of, from the attentive service, to the tasty menu all under the backdrop of a perfect vibe. I didn't know it was possible to find a bagel this good outside of NYC. It's my go to spot anytime I want to catch up with a friend or grab a quick bite.

Really great breakfast sandwich and golden milk latte. The barista was very kind and handled a tough interaction with an unhoused women with care.

This place is a little gem. I have the egg sandwich on a bagel, and all ingredients were quality. Plus the bagel was nonsense, like a bagel should be. Finally the zen modern decor leads to a relaxing eating experience.

Great spot. The service is great. We had the apple butter and Dulce de leche cake. Both were delicious and moist. My daughter loved the Humpty Hump sandwich.

Cafe U is a great place for breakfast and coffee on U Street! I got the drip coffee and lox sandwich and I was more than satisfied. They also have a pretty good tea selection. Also, they're one of the few coffee spots in the area that has wifi right now so that's a plus. And the service is really great and friendly!

I’ve been coming here since they opened. I’m from Seattle and can confirm this is a high quality coffee shop. Very small, but with added outdoor seating now and some of the best coffee I’ve found in DC.

I literally could not ask for better service or quality. My friends and I enjoyed our drinks and the very short wait time. Thanks for being awesome, we will definitely be back!

The employees are super sweet and even brought out a plate when we sat outside. Very clean and cute place! Iced mocha was delicious as well.

A quaint and cozy cafe with a beautiful staff, Nazar(owner), Gregory(shop attendant), and Kayvon(shop attendant). There are an assortment of teas, coffee, and fresh baked goods. They will juice some carrots & oranges for you too! Enjoy!
