I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, coffee, and food. Just a short drive in across the JB bridge from StL. A fabulous coffee shop in an unassuming strip mall.

We were welcomed warmly upon arriving. We ordered a pumpkin cold brew, eggs benedict, and oatmeal with pecans and granola. The cold brew was perfect. The pumpkin flavor wasn't overpowering, just right. Delicious and quickly prepared.
The food...omg...the food. I can say that hands down the Benny was the best I have ever had, well ranked in the top. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce was fabulous! The PG potatoes, lordy! Cooked to perfection and seasoned like non other!
The oatmeal, piping hot and perfectly balanced sweetness.

So glad we stopped in. Can't wait to return!

This place is fabulous! The food was outstanding (especially the orange juice)! The staff was super helpful, and food came quickly. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other offerings for breakfast (the eggs Benedict looked great)!

Fall vibes today with a Chocolate Cherry latte and Apple Matcha latte. So tasty!!!
We also ordered food, the Garden Variety and Oatmeal with blueberries and pecans, that I forgot to take a picture of but they were delicious!

Update on 2023/11/08: The mixed green salad was fresh and light. Loved it!

I usually only get an Americano with caramel syrup, which is delicious, but today I stopped earlier so I got a veggie avocado today but subbed a fried egg. Perfection!

My husband and I really enjoyed this place. My husband ordered the turkey sandwich and was very happy with it. The bacon was delicious. The pork tacos are really good as are the PG potatoes. The latte is good, but I did not care for the oat milk.

Best coffee I’ve ever had. They even make their own syrups! Amazing breakfast and lunch served all day long, Love this place so much. It’s going to be my go-to coffee shop from now on! Relaxing atmosphere to get some work done and enjoy a nice coffee. You can sit inside or outside. I highly recommend it.

Finally made it to PG and walked in to a short fast moving que. I grabbed a menu and saw a number of intriguing breakfast and lunch items. Quickly on the spot I opted for the 3egg Scram. The PG potatoes are a tasty combo of cubed potatoes, sweet potatoes, red onion and red pepper and the scramble did not disappoint. And the coffee was really good!

Awesome breakfast! Great coffee! If you are looking for a solid patio to sit down at, and have an amazing meal, this is the spot. My favorite is the Schuberts, and the Eggs Benedict is pictured below. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly.

The best coffee and breakfast on both sides of the river by far. All the staff are super friendly and the cooks are just so amazing with their cooking. Love trying the new coffees they get in weekly and their breakfast menu is simply amazing. The drunken monkey pancakes are forsure a 10 out of 10 and love recommending this place to everyone I know and to customers at my own restaurant. If you want a great breakfast, amazing coffee, and some of the best service around this is by far the best place to go.

Ordered a togo order on my way to a jobsite, called ahead 15 min. Food was ready on time. The bacon, egg & cheese crossaint and club sandwich was perfect. I couldn't resist ordering a tripple expresso mocha and got a muffin upon pickup. Places decor was appealing. Staff was very friendly and a few of the classy clientele was eye candy appealing. Made my work day outside in the rain go much better. Thanks. I look forward to coming back.

My husband and I visited Proving Ground Café for the first time last Tuesday for our anniversary brunch. This place was exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations. My husband and I aren't much of coffee drinkers, but this place has other drinks and food items that will satisfy any taste and appetite. I ordered their Bloody Mary and Columbian Back-Roads Tacos (pictured). The Bloody Mary was fabulous and even had strips of beef jerky in it which is a unique trait you don't normally see. The tacos were phenomenal. They had wonderful flavors coming out of every bite, and the mix of sriracha and pickled onions was great! I got the Roasted Red Pepper soup as my side, and I'm normally not impressed with soups, but this one was awesome and something you have to try! My husband ordered the Schubert's Special which is a breakfast platter. He kept raving about how excellent the flavor and spices were, and he ate every last drop. Even though we live in St. Louis and this place is a 30 minute drive, we highly recommend Proving Ground Café to everyone! We will definitely be back!

Great coffee and friendly staff! The owner was working the counter with his employees and very helpful. They have GF options as well

Food and cappuccino were delicious. The interior design is very cute but it smells like toilet cleaner when you walk in, it should smell like coffee :). We sat outside on the patio,very nice.

We had a delicious brunch. We sat outdoors in the outdoor seating and our meal was delicious.

Great place. Lots of coffee selections and tea selections. Breakfast and lunch menu excellent. Have a variety of gluten free options. Owner and staff great and nice interior and exterior areas

The presentation was beautiful. Amount was very generous. But the food was cold. Even when they forgot my potatoes when they came out they was cold. But all in all I would still give them a 5🌟

The food and the drinks were amazing. $5 Bloody Mary with a slice of bacon! The nitro cold brew was very tasty. Would have liked a larger amount for the price. The food was very delicious and the potatoes were mixed with sweet potatoes.

Proving Ground has a nice chilled out atmosphere. They have a nice selection of of different types of drinks, sweets, and food. The food is really good. The coffee's and teas are great. They have in house seasonal flavors that they make for coffee. They also try to source from locally owned businesses. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. Overall I had a really good experience.
