This is a good well maintained State Park. We rented the cabin last weekend for a fishing trip. For the cost, the cabin served it purpose well, it kept us warm & dry. The weather was wet, cool, & windy.

I need to point out, this cabin is rustic. There is no running water, you have to go across the road for water. There is no cooking allowed in the cabin and no pets are allowed in the cabin. The cabin is 20' x 20' with a wall & door in the middle. 4 small bunk beds are on one side, and a full size bed, small wall table, and two folding chairs on the other side.

If you can sleep on a board, you'll sleep well. I was fortunate enough to have brought a full size air mattress for the bed. As for the bunk beds, they are ~3' wide with railings. Since most kids can sleep on about anything, these would work well. However for my adult son, he stacked all 4 mattresses on one bunk to get somewhat comfortable. There were two web type folding lawn chairs on the porch.

We did catch fish, which was the purpose of the trip

Beautiful lake. Fishing is very slow. Clean. Well maintained. Clear and clean r. V. Camping. Tent also. Rest rooms. Playground. Walking trails. Archery zone, restaurant and bait. Boat rental...
Very nice park.

The trail around the lake is really nice. It totally hugs the lake just like the trail map says, so you'll get nice waterside views. The outer trail loop in the park is almost exactly 3 miles.

Beautiful park with well maintained walking trails. Beautiful picnic areas with play areas. Restrooms are on-site along with a restaurant and bait shop. Small boats are allowed.

Bait shop and restaurant are closed and no more boat rentals. Fishing is still ok from the last trip with some nice blue gils and decent channel cat. Fish cleaning station is closed or damaged but is fenced off and not usable.

I think the bathrooms are still opened just not sure.

I have now been here multiple times as we are frequent campers and our normal place is closed. I will now be a regular. Bathrooms are great. The host is the BEST! He's helped us multiple times with camper issues we've had, he's always available, and I've seen him go out of his way to help others. It's a great place.... quiet..... nice restaurant with great breakfast. Try it! You won't be disappointed....

The cabin is tiny even though it sleeps 6, and I would definitely call it "camping in a hard wood tent" experience. Bring your own linens, and speeding ticket (ISP are thick, just saying...and they do like their revenue!). One double bed, two sets of bunk beds. Two folding chairs, one extra small drop down table. Dont plan to cook on the campfire. It's a metal platform. But they do provide a grill, so bring your charcoal and grill utensils. Two picnic tables in front. The lake is small and gorgeous. Perfect for canoes or kayaks, and fishing! No engines. Cabin is next to the bathroom/shower and a parking lot. Playground on other side of bathrooms. There's a lot of activity around you. Hiking trails are abundant. Oh, and there's a winery! On the grounds, next to the restaurant and lake. Score!

Hidden gem of a Park. Campsites are electric only. Water and dump station are available year round. Nice barbeque restaurant in park. Very nice walking trails and nearby area is great for biking. Some sites are small or have various obstacles that would be difficult for larger rigs to negotiate. One loop is limited to trailers under 20 feet.

Used 27H, paved slot, picnic table, and fire pit. Directly across from privy and showers. Nice location, didn't really make use of the park facilities because we were here for another local function. The BBQ restaurant on the grounds has great atmosphere and food.

really dope place. Great hiking, one trail went completely around the lake, so constant views. Camping area looked updated and maintained. Pet friendly! Boat ramp for fishing boats.

We love beaver dam every time we go. Very clean wooded area. Never see garbage laying about like other places. Their is signa marking areas and even a 911 scan post. We never catch any fish buy think it's due to my kids being impatient. We also love the little park and sometimes go just for the park.

Spent the day here just walking around! It's so beautiful and QUIET. We didn't camp but my dad grew up camping here. The campgrounds are nice, theres one for tents and one for RVs, they both have a playground. This place isn't HUGE and overwhelming like some parks.
There's plenty of tables, grills, bathrooms and parking throughout the entire place.
There's a restaurant and small winery right at the entrance you can enjoy if you don't feel like packing your own food.
The park is kept up nicely, there wasn't one peice of trash or debris anywhere to be seen.
We enjoyed a beautiful day and I hope to be back soon!

Trail was a little rough for my wheelchair but the views made the short stretch that I explored well worth the effort.
