This place is so cute! The filled donut almost brought me to tears (reminded me of a Berliner - a typical German jelly donut), it was so delicious! I also enjoyed the coffee a lot! And they’re having good music playing there.
Only suggestion for improvement: please switch to little paper bags or boxes🙏🏼💕 It was a lot of plastic for two donuts.

Rose Ave is one of my favorite spots in DC - everything is so delicious. Their donuts are out of this world good (the ube coconut and passion fruit are tied for my fav), and the scallion egg and cheese sandwich might be one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The BUN 😍 so flaky. Definitely recommend, so lucky to have this place in Woodley!

Honestly really fantastic! My friend and I stopped in because we heard of the really amazing selection of items, and we were blown away not only by the creative pastries, but also the personalized service. The person who helped me even offered to change her gloves before handling anything gluten free. Such a great experience & absolutely will be returning!

I stopped in here for breakfast and it was probably one of the absolute best donuts I've ever eaten. The passion fruit donut was mouth watering and I probably could have eaten way more than the one I got. I can only imagine the other choices are just as delicious. Highly recommend.

The new location is much more accessible than the one in the food hall with better hours. Located right across from the Woodley Park metro station, there is usually a long line especially when they have seasonal offerings.

The space has a lot of seating, great decor, and a wide counter showcasing all their treats. I really love their green Thai tea, their Ube cake, their Kouign Amann, and their fun-flavored cookies, especially their Saigon banana cinnamon and matcha chocolate chip.

When I visited, they had the seasonal Korean sesame latte (no espresso), which I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is such a wonderful cafe with great options for food, friendly staff, and all-around delicious option!

Came to try their panda coconut doughnut and left with a few more doughnut, vietnamese coffee and their musubi croissant. Everything was delicious and wish they'd open a bakery in NYC. Everything wasn't too sweet and the texture was fabulous. Definitely a must try in DC

A great neighborhood bakery that's close to the Woodley Park Metro and a perfect place to stop off for coffee and a snack on the way to or from the National Zoo. The Egg and Cheese sandwich on a scallion bun ($9.00) and Saigon Cinnamon Banana cookie ($3.25) were easy for a friend and I to share, but next time I'm going to want to eat the whole thing. Really delicious and special.

Rose Ave had 5 stars from me when they were in their downtown location and now, after visiting their Woodley Park location, I wish I could give them 10 stars! There is almost always a line and they work through it so efficiently. Always try the seasonal flavors if you can snag some before they’re sold out! The savory pastries are my personal favorites but I really don’t think there’s a bad thing on the menu. 10/10 recommend!

A wonderful asset to the neighborhood. I love both their savory and sweet items, the ube coffee is one of my favorite drinks around! Do not be deterred by a line, they are extremely efficient!

Rose Ave Bakery is one of a kind. The bright, cozy storefront is extremely welcoming and homey. What I love most about Rose Ave is that everything tastes as delicious as it looks. Rose Ave holds an extremely high bar for quality and every pastry I’ve ever had has been perfectly created. I can’t wait to watch this store evolve and to continue trying the masterpieces they put together! Yum!

One of the staffs was pretty friendly. Pandon coconut donut was fantastic! It’s been a long time since I had pastry that wasn’t too sweet in the States. Also recommended the iced ube coffee.

During our trip to the Smithsonian National Zoo, we stumbled upon this adorable Asian bakery. They had a bunch of different items with really cool and unique flavors. It was conveniently located just up the road from the zoo. Their pastries were pretty big, and the breakfast sandwiches were quite filling too.

I won't lie, it was a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and portion sizes kinda made up for it. Overall, we were really happy that we decided to check it out, and I'm pretty sure we'll make a point to go back there the next time we're in the area. It was a great find!

I'm obsessed with this place. I legitimately wake up some mornings with an intense craving for the donuts filled with passion fruit curd. Their kouign amanns are the best in the entire city, even before you add the fillings -- which are universally stellar; I was surprised by how much I liked the pandan mousse in that green donut in the picture. The amanns, though. Flakey, crispy, melt in your mouth, with a perfect caramel on the bottom and crunchy cinnamon sugar on top. I wish they also served a plain version of these!

Excellent drip coffee from Small Planes in NE, too. It's perfectly brewed and a very tasty bean. I recommend a hot, black coffee to balance out the sweet pastries. I find their flavored drinks too sweet for my tastes, but I know other people like them a lot.

Definitely tastes great. Came here on a Saturday morning and there was a line to get in, but it moves pretty quick. There’s some tables inside and some outside. Post glutton clarity kindof made me go wow did I really pay $5 for a single donut? But it definitely tastes great and not like any other donut or pastry I’ve had anywhere else.

Very fresh and authentic flavors. Im filipino and the pastries taste perfect. Also, extra points for being a nut free bakery! I was able to try many of their pastries and enjoyed them all!

The Best donuts I ever ate! My favorite is the passion fruit. The strawberry and lychee is very good. My husband favorite is sesame seed donuts. We drive all the way from Columbia MD, to buy them because we love it . I totally recommend.

Really good pastries and coffee, friendly staff, cool atmosphere. The price is actually not that bad - they charge for their special treats what really ho-hum places charge for mediocre pastries in the area.

I first had Rose Ave Bakery in October for a conference in DC, so I sought them out when I came back this past week! The donuts are *delicious* and IMO better than the cookies. The predominant flavors in the cookies (matcha, black sesame, banana) aren't as strong as they could be, but I still enjoy the black sesame and matcha choco chip.

Perfect! Only wish they had more flavored hot caffeinated latte options and ube coffee was a little less sweet. So happy to have this in the neighborhood.

Absolutely delicious! I planned a trip to dc months ago and was super nervous they wouldn't be open in time. Luckily the started their soft opening the week of my trip! The donuts were so good, soft and not too sweet. Definitely recommend the pandan donut and the iced Chai wasn't too bad either. 10/10!
