Sherry's Wine & Spirits

My recent visit to Sherry's Liquor was nothing short of delightful. I was thoroughly impressed by the extensive wine knowledge displayed by the Manager, Priyest. His recommendations were spot-on, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to my wine selection.

What truly stood out, however, was the amazing service provided by Priyest. His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and willingness to ensure a positive experience made my visit exceptional. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority at Sherry's Liquor.

A wonderland for anyone interested in spirits and liqueurs. They have a broader selection than just about any store I’ve been to. (And they have just as much wine, too). If you need something obscure, odds are they have it. Very helpful staff who know the inventory well. Prices for most things are equivalent to what you find elsewhere, with some of the higher end items being a little more expensive.

This store is: A Bourbon Collector’s Wet Dream! Coming from the Florida panhandle where people lineup outside stores before opening on store’s delivery days for allocated items that are not even guaranteed to be restocked…

This was such a pleasant surprise to me. I saw editions and sizes of stuff I didn’t even know existed! The entire Colonel EH Taylor & Weller lineup?! PAPPY?! Multiple editions of Blanton’s and in 50mL bottles??? Weller In 1.75L bottles??

I sent a picture to my group chat and ended up taking home around 17 bottles.

Critiques: The store feels like a hoarder’s library. They had an oversupply of stock to put on shelves / storage so lots of boxes and bottles were just on the ground in an already tight walk area. Many of the items didn’t have price labels so I had to pester the cashier many times for price checks. The gentlemen had great customer service skills but the lady seemed annoyed just in general being at work.

Overall: The Euphoria I felt seeing the selection they had trumps all flaws for me and if you are aware of the primary & secondary bourbon market, the majority of their items in my opinion are reasonably & commonly priced. I did see a couple of head scratchers.

~ I noticed many reviews bashing the store for their secondary market prices or them not willing to barter / match prices… and I think those same people don’t understand the bourbon market nowadays and that at the end of the day it’s a business. If it’s out of your budget then leave and go somewhere else? If you saw it cheaper else where then go back and buy it there? The fact this store has these rare items readily available with plentiful stock gives me the impression they are jumping through hoops or paying more than average store cost to keep them in stock so they must turn a profit.

Regardless: After hauling all my gnarly finds and posting a picture everyone wanted to know about Sherry’s and I got paid to actually make another trip to DC to pick up unicorn-esque-rarity items a week later for other collector friends. Sherry’s is forever engraved in my mind. Thank you for existing!

Very nice staff. We go here often. So much so, they probably should start giving out frequent shopper cards and offering a bottle of wine (of my choice up to $50) for free for every 7-10 bottles purchased.

Diverse and extensive selection of liquors. Staff is always friendly and helpful. If you can't find a bottle somewhere else, give Sherrys a look.

Great selection and a knowledgable staff. Sherry's had all of the staple products along with some unique finds.

I went online looking for a local place selling a green tea beer I had at a ramen joint. Sherry's website came up, and it said they had three bottles in stock. I went to the store about a week later and unwittingly sent three employees on a wild goose chase for this beer--three men looked for almost 45 minutes for these three bottles! This place is sort of like an old-timey library but for alcohol--there are deep shelves up to the high ceilings full of every kind of drink you could want. They had their work cut out for them, but they did find one bottle! While those amazing guys were searching, I perused the sake section and found sake in a cute "juice box" with a "maneki wanko" on the front! Their sake section is nice. Sherry's customer service is impressive! Looking forward to going back and hopefully getting more beer!

They had a rare whisky here I couldn't find anywhere else. Parking is tricky, you can't always park out front during certain hours. The guy watched my car for me and quickly found the bottle and got me in and out. Thanks, and I will recommend.

Cozy little liquor store with a fantastic selection and extremely helpful & friendly staff. Prices aren't too bad, and the wide variety of options is impressive. Worth the visit if you're in the area, or if you are looking for something a little more interesting than you could find in a typical neighborhood liquor store!

We love the owner and the staff are all really friendly. They always recommend great bourbons for my husband and wine for me. We always have a great experience.

I've now placed 2 orders with Sherry's through Drizly and it's gone very smoothly. Today, I needed more of a non-alcohol cider than what they had in stock so i called the store and Andy offered to pick it up at CVS! Above and beyond customer service! Thank you so much.

Nice store! I go here all the time to pick up supplies for my natural medicine business and the staff is always helpful and professional. They have a great selection of stock for those who like other kinds of beverages and there always seems to be something a little unique in there!

Always really good sales going on and a ton of selection

Outstanding store! Really neat finds for wines and whiskeys. Prices are excellent. The store is an experience in itself. Very cozy, but there is plenty of method in the madness of the efficient organization and aesthetic presentation of the stock. Staff are very helpful and unpretentious. Found a bottle of Port that I make sure to bring back from Portugal each time I go since I had not yet found it in the states...until today. Great experience all around.

Great selection of beer, wine, spirits including sake. The single serving beer fridge keeps me coming back to try a single instead of committing to a 4 or 6 pack. Friendly and helpful people make the shopping experience strong.

The space is cramped but it's full of great options, so not much to complain about.

Without a doubt, this cozy family run wine and spirits store will have the hard to find bottles you might fancy. I searched high and low for a bottle of whisky. They were the only store in the DMV that had it. They are my new go-to for hard to find bottles. There is literally no place to park so plan accordingly or ride the Metro. ZOO Metro stop.

We work with their team quite a bit to provide wine, champagne, and other treats for our residents. They have an amazing selection and the staff are so helpful and professional. They have great recommendations and are always able to assist us.

Great customer service. I ordered rare bottles of bourbon on their website, but shipping company made a mistake. I requested refund and the owner and worker treat it very well. They were very kind. It was unlucky the order did not complet, but I can trust their customer service. The best.
