Honest Abe's Tap & Grill

I have heard good things about this place from many people over the years I have lived in Morris. A friend of mine wanted to have her birthday at this place. We called the day before to make sure we could bring in an outside birthday cake.

The staff had reserved us a table for our group. The temperature inside was a bit cold and that made it a bit uncomfortable.Our waitress was really sweet and got all our orders perfect. She was really a wonderful waitress. I ordered the beefy mac and cheese. The serving size was bigger than I expected. It was really a great flavor. They offer various versions of mac and cheese. I am totally happy with the experience I had. The only problem I had was how cold it was inside. Ither than that based on our waitress and the food I ordered . I will happily return to Honest Abe's.

Everything was hot and crispy and hot

Had a group of 7 including a couple kids. They were extremely accommodating. The service, food, and atmosphere was great. They have a large selection on the menu and everyone enjoyed their entree and we all enjoyed a couple appetizers! I would easily recommend this place for any such occasion! Family get together, friends meeting up, or date night. Good stuff, good prices!

One of our favorite places to go. Burgers are awesome. Tonight I tried the philly steak and it was so delicious. Our server was the sweetest. It was my birthday and he made sure it was special!! Great job guys.

My new happy place! It's cozy and relaxed with log cabin walls and pictures of Abraham Lincoln everywhere. I felt at ease the moment I walked in. The menu is eclectic and massive!!! Super inventive and unique options. I had the beer cheese soup and sailor burger ( burger with spinach artichoke dip on top) and waffle fries. My husband had the goat cheese bacon burger and macaroni and cheese! I tried several mixed drinks and those too were fun and inspired such as the martini with vodka and Chambord and hubbs had a Captain Morgan with sour apple schnapps and Sprite that he loved. Our waitress was awesome and I could see everyone having just a really good time there. I watched several parties leave and they were all smiling! As was I!!! My favorite thing is the popcorn machine they have set up! So yummy and quaint! Just go!!!! It's a special happy place! Very reasonable prices too!

The food was good, and I went during a shift change, so the bartender was a bit busy. Not really, too many people were there, but they had a ton of take out orders.

I am in love with this place. Burgers 10/10, Mac and cheese 10/10, staff 10/10. I loved our waiter Matt, he was extremely nice and recommended amazing food. Also got me to try the cake they were serving and it was a delicious milk and cookies cake. YUMMY

Headed to Hoest Abe's on a Sunday and was not disappointed. The special was a Bloody Mary for $5 and it was very tasty!! My wife and I ordered a couple of burgers and they were great!! Only issue was my tator tots were a little over done bit everything else was perfect!! We will be coming back here again!!

Staff was excellent. The weekday specials are the bomb. Large portions. The beers are cold with a nice kraft selection. Can't wait to go back and try the 3 pound hamburger. Ha

This place has a different burger for every mood your in, every day or for every day of the month...if you feel like riding the burger rail into cardiac arrest station 🤭. Don't get me wrong...the burgers are great but the real gem on the menu is the pork tenderloin sandwich... I know what you're thinking You're typical tenderloin sandwich looks like someone thought it would be funny to put a large diameter piece of meat on a tiny little bun... However this one is anything but a joke it is fantastic!! Honestly I shouldn't even be sharing this because they usually run out of them that the end of the night and I don't want you taking my sandwich away from me 😉

Always a great place to stop and have a drink or food. Today was the 1/2 lb. Union burger. Provoke cheese, pineapple and house made BBQ sauce. Thought I would give it a try and it did not disappoint. Great staff as always.

The grilled chicken burger I had was delicious! Also, like their variety of beers they had on tap!

Food has always been great! I absolutely love the peanut butter and jealousy burger.
Service is usually hit or miss and only walked out once.
I still recommend this place to all. There's a little something for everyone.

Looking for someplace new to eat. They have awesome food. Large menu options. And they have outdoor seating. Very nice. Great customer service. They let you know up front cash saves/credit card has extra charge. ( that seems to be normal at alot of restaurants). Atmosphere ,food choices. Bar. And service can't go wrong here.

Fun place near the soccer fields. Food was great!

We had a quick stop here going to Starved Rock. I had the pony shoe sandwich. Their servings are generous. Imagine their horshoe sandwich! It can feed 2-3 people. We continue on the road with a happy tummy!

We haven’t been here in awhile, but Matt has to be one of the best servers that my family and I ever had there!! Matt was on top of his game with suggesting us the craft beer that was on tap where we had many samples, then we had a couple of them and they were refreshing! Also, Matt was very informative on the menu that we had questions on and the food was delicious! The portions of the food were incredible and you can’t leave their hungry that’s for sure! The other staff including Hannah are really polite and friendly as well! We even talked to the manager that was working tonight and gave Matt a compliment on his hospitality! Overall, we will definitely be coming back more often to Honest Abe’s and hats off to Matt who fits the perfect role as a server!

This place has leveled up over the years. You gotta try the loaded Hoagie, sooooo good!

Burgers are awesome, and the drinks are tasty. There are plenty of TVs to watch the game. I used to go to Greenhorn all the time, and this place is a fantastic alternate!

Never disappoints! Food is always great. Have been going here for years. Really love their new addition of covered porch outdoor seating.
