Stolp Island Social is a lovely spot for a nice dinner in the heart of downtown Aurora. Will definitely be going back!

This is an amazing new restaurant! Have been waiting to try it out. The food was absolutely divine! I love crab cakes and try them any time anyone is brave enough to put them on the menu in the Midwest. Delicious! And the steak! I have not had such a melt in your mouth filet for years. I highly recommend and they nailed the medium rare beautifully. This is an excellent fine dining option in downtown Aurora. Thank you!

Stolp Island Social is a great place for dinner and dessert in downtown Aurora. Our server, Mark, and especially our waitress, Anna, were amazing, and I could say the same for the food. I ordered the pork, and the meat was nice and juicy. Pairing it with the honeycrisp apple was a joy as it tasted unique and fresh. The dish redefined for me what one can do with pork. Dessert was vanillia ice cream with some amazing chocolate syrup. I also had the Baby Mule non-alcoholic cocktail, and that was very good as well. Another striking thing to note about this restaurant is the atmosphere. The theater and arts are a big part of this restaurant, being situated right next to Paramount Theater. Various quotes line the walls and ceiling, and the place has a semi formal artsy style to it. I will definitely be back many times here to try the other dishes. This is a beautiful hidden gem in downtown Aurora, and I encourage you to come and try it!

An understated gem, Stolp Island Social has excellent cocktails, and fantastically complex flavors in their entrees. I highly recommend the roast chicken.

Loved this place! Staff is great-Amy Morton, our waitress Anna, the bartender! Even the chef came to the table to ask how we liked our food! We had an aged steak & mushroom pasta which was delicious. The drinks were awesome served in beautiful antique glasses. The artwork and the atmosphere is very unique. You must go!!

It starts with decorations that are similar to her living room , favorite quotes written by local artists on the ceiling, and bare wooden tabletops to welcome locals & visitors.

This restaurant is most known for being right next to @ParamountAurora which will restart their shows this July

We started with their burrata with heirloom tomatoes, grilled garlic, country bread & guanciale (a fattier cut , similar to prosciutto) . Also had their jerk wings - double fried that comes with a house-made mango habanero sauce. It's spicy & sweet, perfect for this hot summer

For mains we had their 5-hour lamb Bolognese & honey Dijon salmon (you can pick between this or blackened).

Last but not least, we had their house-made dessert - a creamy Panna Cotta topped with cardamom, cinnamon & light sugar and a carrot cake cut with cream cheese & topped with a streusel

If you're here for drinks, they have a huge bar including cocktails (like the gin + bubbly champagne I had), Mocktails (like the charcoal lemonade), and an extensive wine list (including the super dry bubbly rose from Argentina)

The NY strip was *chef’s kiss*. Highly recommend. My husband got the smash burger- although it was good, he wasn’t “mind-blown.” Definitely stick to the steaks. 😉 Staff was so friendly and so attentive.

Amazing food, inspired drinks, great staff, and beautiful ambiance... they really give you a unique experience and it's worth it.

Absolutely loved this place! Yesterday I celebrated my mom’s birthday with our immediate family and we couldn’t have picked a better place!

Food was super delicious from the pasta to the steak! Garlic aioli fries were so addicting! We also had the trifecta for desert (carrot cake, chocolate cake and cheese cake). All so very delicious !

Also have to give a huge shoutout to our server ! I unfortunately forgot his name but he was such a friendly and attentive person! Great personality and made my mom’s birthday memorable.

Fun evening but lacking........cocktails were good as was sitting at the bar experience. However food was disappointing. Crab cakes could have been cod or tuna coz all you could taste was paprika or cayenne. Was mushy and no lump meat discernible. Very disappointed. As for the chicken wings that so many nearby had ordered......wah...wahhhh.....super sweet and just ok. Now the burger we split was great!!! Perfectly cooked and the frites were fabulous. Place was crazy busy coz of the Paramount show so unless you Are going to the show, plan your visit accordingly. We will try again at at better time and see if food improves. Certainly not Morton standards yet!

Food, staff, and atmosphere here are amazing. The food is worth every penny, the vibe is unique and fun, and the specialty cocktails are so good. We went for dinner, but would love to go for one of their brunches.

As soon as we saw the photos and learned that Stolp Island Social was owned by Amy Morton -"Done!"
The decor is just SO cool including all the vintage cocktail glasses. I spotted a pattern my mom & dad had in the 60s!
Planning with Events Mgr Danielle Daniot was absolutely seamless, accommodating and most of all "patient" with this overfunctioning step mom.
We were greeted by the delightful Tara Young Ramos - General Mgr. EVERY member of the staff was smiling, charming and engaging.
Manny the omelet station chef, charming and a pro with the omelet pans!
Every item on the food station was perfect - cheesy scrambled eggs, thick cut bacon, roasted potatoes, French toast, smoked salmon & accompaniments, fresh cut fruits - all SO yum!
And let's not forget the young lady behind the bar! Whipping up those badly needed bloody marys and a variety of mimosas instantly!
Each and every guest said "...what a great idea!" sang praises of the space, food and service as they left us - bellies full.
I only wish we lived closer to easily enjoy dinner at Stolp Island Social on a regular basis.

The atmosphere is updated, high end and comfortable. What's more is the food is great and the service at the bar was wonderful.

This is a great place to eat with your theater experience! Iuper close to the Paramount. It's your basic steakhouse cuisine but better!! Don't listen to the crabby reviewers complaining about not getting bread. You can ask for it.

Aurora needed this restaurant. It's location next to the theater makes it perfect for pre-show or post-show dining, but it will be a destination of its own soon. Downtown has several casual restaurants, but it needed an upscale dining room. This restaurant has a casual vibe, but the food is definitely upscale. Eight steaks to choose from, salmon, branzino, and more. It is described as a blend between owner Amy Morton's Evanston steakhouse and her Evanston seasonal (farm to table) restaurant. Which means that the menu will change according to season. We had salmon and a steak and both were delicious, although the potatoes that accompanied the steak were bland.

Outstanding! We.walked in a whim after seeing a play at the Paramount. The steaks are amazing. They come from Linz on in Calumet City. We got the burrata appetizer, which was so yummy, with grilled tomatoes and roasted garlic. The steaks cooked to perfection. Had the brussel sprouts which were lemony and a tad acidic, which was nice. Will definitely come back again. I heard someone say this is the daughter of Morton's. Sure is great.

This beautiful restaurant is what downtown Aurora needed! It's a comfortable sit down meal, perfect for a night out to the Paramount or for celebrating a special occasion.

I had steak, medium, and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce and potatoes were a lovely compliment. My husband had Crab Spaghetti and he said it was delicious, with just the right amount of kick to it.

We had a cocktail and a glass of red and both were high quality. The price was reasonable for the quality of the meal and drinks. The service was amazing, no complaints at all.

I highly recommend trying this restaurant. I was most impressed by their organization. You can rely on them to have your table ready as scheduled, and for you to be fully satisfied and on time to your show.

Intimate Steakhouse steps away from the Paramount Theater. 4 of us got a booth reserved through open table. I ordered the Porterhouse with side of mushrooms . Incredible. The ladies ordered the sea bass. It’s one of my wife’s favorites. They really enjoyed it. Our other companion got the New York Strip . He says better than Sullivans and one of the best he has had.

Friendly and attentive staff made us feel at home.

Pricing is very reasonable compared to other Suburban Steakhouses

So glad we decided to have dinner here before the show. Such a cozy atmosphere, great service, and wonderful food. The short ribs were delicious and drinks were great, too. We can't wait to return.
