Ascension Mercy

This was my first experience at this hospital, and I was so impressed with all the staff I met throughout. I had a procedure with my own doctor from outside the hospital and stayed for one night. From the start at the front desk, lab technician, surgery nurses, anesthesiologists, through the recovery in the maternity ward with the nurses and food service staff, my experience was wonderful. I noticed there were low reviews from other people, but it wasn't like that for me at all. EVERY person was efficient and genuinely caring and kind. I felt well cared for and comfortable, and I was very happy with my experience.

My daughter was an in patient for 6 days.
Oana checked us in. She was very pleasant to deal with and my daughter said she was very nice while caring for her. Other staff that I personally had contact with include:

They were all helpful and pleasant. My daughter came home feeling much better. She spoke highly of the care and support she received.

I had my daughter here a couple days ago, and I couldn’t say anything but the best about the labor and delivery and the experience I had here. This was my second child born, my first child being at another hospital, and the environment and experience I had here was beyond what I could have expected or experienced. Every nurse I had the pleasure of meeting was so kind and helpful, the room where I gave birth was so cozy and comfortable. You stay in the same room after you deliver your child as well which was such a relief especially with everything you bring with you to have your child. We got also some beautiful hand made hats and blankets from the staff for my daughter that I will keep forever. I would recommend this hospital to anyone and everyone. Thank you for making my experience so delightful and homey. Your staff is the best!

They were extremely kind understanding and willing to help me in every way they can. I have osteoarthritis, and I cannot lay flat and they went out of their way to bring me a reclining chair, and I slept great. They were marvelous.

As a nurse, I must say I was very impressed by the level of care and professionalism demonstrated by Dr. Wajhat Khan and his team during my recent visit to the emergency room. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the efficiency and compassion of the staff, who worked seamlessly together to provide exceptional care. Dr. Khan's expertise and clear communication were particularly noteworthy. As someone who works in healthcare, I have high standards, and I can confidently say that Dr. Khan and his team exceeded them. I am grateful for the outstanding care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Wajhat Khan to anyone in need of expert emergency medical attention.

I loved how the outpatient section for a procedure team worked. The doctors, nurses, techs and front desk did an amazing job. They explained everything well and even had conversations with them, made me feel very comfortable and safe. Thank you for all you do. God bless.

I found the facility and staff overall to be terrific. Only complaint I would have is the mattresses on the beds. Other than that the care was great.

Amazing!! Came to the ER here for my 2 year old due to urgent care being closed. My husband and 6 year old were with me. They allowed all 4 of us in to stay with my 2 year old. We had a room to ourselves with glass doors and a curtain. The nurses brought us connect 4 and a teddy bear for my youngest to hold. They brought water and apple juice for both my kids. Regarding wait time: We didn’t have to wait long before being called back but once we were, it did take some time from the point where they said they were discharging us and then us actually getting the paperwork so we could leave. Everyone we interacted with was very nice! Very happy with our experience and definitely recommend! I hope they continue being as awesome as they were when we came in and also allowing families in together (that was unexpected and really helped since our youngest wants both parents with him. Thank you!! For allowing us all back!)

Overall, highly satisfied with mom's care at Ascension Mercy!
Dr. Sam (ER) has such a calm and sweet demeanor. Felt comfortable and at ease with his presence when I was terrified with mom's symptoms.

Tasha (environmental sevices) great spirit and smile. She was a sweetheart that kept moms room clean and made sure she was set with products, even if she needed any juice to drink.

Stefa (PCT) who is a awesome with what she does. She made us laugh and smile through the trials of being in the hospital which she made us at ease.

Maya (PCT) who is fantastic at making mom and myself comfortable. She always made sure we were okay and if we needed anything.

Chaplain Tom who spoke and prayed with us. Made us feel reassured that we'll have good care at Ascension.

From Doctors to nurses I rate 5 stars. My stay at the Mercy Hospital was outstanding. Caregivers were very professional, kind and friendly. My baby boy and I received the best care ever. Thank you to the Ascension Family birth center.

Stayed in cardiology unit for 3 days. Excellent care & professionals. Friendly doctors & nurses. Got quick assistance even when they were short staffed. Good food also.

I had an outstanding stay at your hospital. Your nursing staff could not have been more attentive to my needs and it was all of them across the board.

Was at mercy today to get a imaging scan on my left Arm for a mass that I had felt..
Reception was very nice and I was worried as I use a cane for the distance to walk..well imagine it practically in the main lobby..reception in the department was great as well..
I was there 15 minutes early and was called in right on schedule.
The tech was a young man who introduced himself right away..Dakota..very professional..asked all the right questions and thru it all smiled..explained everything he did and a ggentleman thru out the entire process..I know Mercy may have some issues..I remember last year staying over the food was notgreat..but I've been there many times..the nurses are the best as I think they can be even with not always being g enough..
If you need imagine choose Mercy..its clean..very nice and located in a great place by the front door. Thank you Dakota and everyone at Mercy..and no I dont know anyone there personally but they are great people there

My daughter was just delivered here, labor and delivery was great to us every step of the way. Nurses were attentive and helpful, we had plenty of time to get used to our new baby in the about 36 hours we were there before being discharged. During those hours, they only had to take my daughter out of the room for a total of about an hour. Fantastic job all around and will be recommending to any and all pregnant friends in the future!

Our mom was recently admitted to Ascension Mercy Hospital in Aurora. Even though she was terminally ill and ultimately she succumbed to her illness — the 5 days or so she/we spent at this hospital were beyond anything we have experienced at any other hospital. Everyone from the ER team who first helped her on through the team on the 5th floor (cardiology floor?) was absolutely outstanding. The compassion and care they showed towards our mom and our family were beyond measure. Dr. Mast, Megan (RN?), Amanda (Nurse Tech), Lindsey and Melissa (both from Rainbow Hospice) were all incredibly compassionate and caring. Amanda even on her own got some coffee/water and other refreshments for those of us who were spending up to 15 hours at the hospital keeping vigil. I don’t recall the name of the staff who were there during our final night/morning there but even they were kind and courteous beyond belief. Truly amazing experience to be treated like family. Thank you to the entire staff for your love and compassion. We will never forget what you all did for us!

Staff in the ER were great!
Both my daughter and mother have been to the ER on separate occasions and both times I found the staff were quick and attentive. They were polite and answered every question I had. Hoping I never have to, but if I did I would choose this hospital again.

I had my daughter here last month and being my first baby, I was so nervous! All the nurses and techs were so kind and compassionate toward me and my daughter. They took the time to answer my questions and when I needed something they were always so quick to attend to it. I would recommend their OB unit to any expecting mother. My only complaint would be just that my food order never came correct but other than that, excellent care.

Honestly I was surprised to get such great care here with the reviews and rumors. BUT I AM GLAD I CAME HERE. We didn't wait long in the waiting room was seen by a doctor fast. Had friendly nurses and doctors.

My grandma was at Mercy in hospice care. Absolutely outstanding care and service by all of the staff. Everyone we interacted with was extremely caring from the doctor to the techs to the nurses. They regularly checked in on us, brought coffee and snacks for us, etc. Incredible experience!

My mom spent the last few days of her life at this hospital. Every hospital staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and keep us well informed. Starting with the ER doctors and then on to the telemetry floor... I simply can't say enough or thank everyone more for the support and help during this challenging time for us. I loved everything about this hospital and the staff members. Thank you from the Hussain Family. Much appreciate all that you did for us 🙏.
