I had some storm damage on the fascia/flashing and soffit on the side of my house that needed to be repaired. Mike did a great job on the work, was prompt, and finished in about 2 hours. Best of all, I had quoted 3 other vendors for the project and they were 2-3x more expensive, likely because they didnt want to come out for a small project.

The office staff to the people replacing my roofs were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The roof looks great, is leak free and will last another 25 years! They did a great job and I will use them as often as I need. I highly recommend them.

Randy and his team did an excellent job. They went above and beyond to make sure I was all set. Will definitely only use them from now on.

We have used Western States Construction twice for roof repair after storm and wind damage. They were very professional to easy to work with. We have had no issues with our roof since they replaced it a couple of years ago. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing roof repair!

Western States installed an aluminum soffit & fascia. They were diligent about repairs needed to the underlying wood before putting on the soffit. They arrived on time, finished in a reasonable amount of time, their price was affordable and they were helpful with financing.

In summation, I had a hail storm hit my house 8/17/19. I was in search of
a roofing company to replace the roof on my barn, and I was referred to Western
States Construction by a family friend. I had Randy, the owner of Western States Construction, come out 9/30/19
to give me a quote on the job. His price was about the same as the others,
but since he was referred to me I used him. Randy told me he could start during the
first part of November, but he did not start until the end of January. This was after multiple assurances that he would start the next week.

Once Western States Construction started the job, I was left without a roof for weeks in the rain and snow.
Everything in my barn was wet. I store hay in my barn. Consequently, it was all
ruined and had to be disposed of as a result of their negligence. After the project was deemed
done by the contractor, my barn and yard were in complete disarray. The workers had been driving through
my yard, leaving ruts which they then proceeded to fill with gravel from
my driveway. Furthermore, when I cut my grass this spring, I will have to worry about causing
even more damage. Nails and screws were all over my yard and driveway
which then gave the worker's vehicles flat tires.this had me worried to drive on my own driveway. Lightning rods were supposed to be removed and not put back on, but the workers put them back on incorrectly. they
They dropped boards on my overhead power lines which made me lose half the
power to my house as a result of this had to have comed come out and restore power. Garbage was left all over and they even dropped
stuff through my chicken coop, which is next to the barn. This also caused my chickens to get loose because the debris made a hole in the chicken wire. They also did not seal the ridge of barn properly and snow
and rain still blows in.

The worst part of the whole job is that there are
1000's of dents all over the roof because they did not pull all of the
nails prior to putting metal down. It literally looks like a hail storm
hit from the underside. Now they are requesting full payment for a job
that is not done and looks absolutely terrible. I have been told by
the contractor that there is nothing that can be done unless they tear it all off. A service they will only provide if I pay them on top of the initially contracted amount.
Also, I found out no permits were pulled. I found this out while I was trying to obtain
their insurance and bond information from the county.

The workmanship of Western States construction was well below what they had promised to deliver. The owner of Western States Construction even said that he could not believe his workers had done such a poor job. The work has not been completed in a way that any self respecting human being would call professional. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the work of this company. Western states construction has been out to review there work, but they have not addressed any of my concern's to my satisfaction. They are just requesting I pay them in full.

PLEASE READ THIS-IT'S LONG BUT IMPORTANT & CAN SAVE YOU FROM THE DISASTER I EXPERIENCED...

My salesman "Bill" was very friendly and came across as humble. He was quick to answer my MANY questions and his quote was in the ballpark of some of the others that we got from other companies. Due to Bill's helpfulness, we chose "WESTERN STATES CONSTRUCTION" for our new roof.

By the time the roof was "finished", we could look into the attic and see the sunlight coming in around the chimney where no flashing had been applied. The shingles looked "wavy" on the exterior but Bill told us it was temporary & would correct itself over time. The garage roofing was not even finished being installed and debris was left all over my lawn and driveway (including roofing nails that can easily puncture a tire or someone's shoe).

Then, Bill handed us the invoice and it was aprox. $2,000 MORE than we had been quoted. We questioned this & were told that due to replacement of areas of wood & other "unforeseen" circumstances, there were additional fees. Rather than fight about this, we chose to pay the entire amount, even though we were quite disappointed...we just wanted to be done with it.

"Bill" then referred us to "Juan"...a friend of his who was in construction & also had a "Western States Construction" business card, although he was offering to do our interior work for us as a "side job" - not through the company - saying it would save us money. "Juan" wasted months of our time while continually asking for more and more cash (claiming that his workers were refusing to show up to work on our house unless we gave Juan cash to pay them). Finally, after about 4-5 months and SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS we cut ties with Juan. The workers told us that the cash we were giving Juan was NOT being used to pay them. After some research we found out that Juan is a convicted felon and seemed to be running a scam with "Bill" from Western States Construction.

We researched and found criminal records for Bill and Juan in other states such as Arizona, Texas, etc. Clearly WESTERN STATES CONSTRUCTION does NO sort of BACKGROUND check on their employees, charges FAR more than they ESTIMATE/QUOTE their prices, and does POOR work which is very clear when you go into my attic and can see SUN LIGHT shining in where the roofing DOESN'T abut the chimney as it should, causing WATER DAMAGE each time it RAINS.

I hope that Western States changes their hiring practices. Until then - DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They lie, cheat and steal from innocent folks who are simply looking to improve their homes. I am disabled & married with 4 kids and 2 dogs, living in a modest older home with a roof that had begun to leak, causing mold to develop on parts of our ceilings. I was simply trying to make the home SAFE and was paying out of pocket. It's VERY shameful to know that there are people out there who would take advantage of someone like myself. The total we paid between "Bill" and "Juan" was $15,000+/- in cash - which I will never get back & my home is STILL not fixed. Don't end up like me...find ANY OTHER contractor, because this one is ALL BAD.

They had to come back 2 times to fix leak and still leaking. Refuse to fix 3rd time even though it has been less than a year and still under warranty. They want more money from us.
