The Little Brown Box Delicatessen

I recently had the pleasure of trying the cheesecake at The little brown box. Let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! The cheesecake was rich, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. But what made the experience truly exceptional was the owner's warm hospitality. They were the nicest person, making sure every customer felt welcomed and satisfied. I highly recommend stopping by and indulging in their delicious cheesecake. You won't regret it!

First of all the staff was very helpful and delightful. I was here to pick up my daughter’s cake and I was not expecting to get anything extra, but since I’m a veteran I was offered a discount and even more if you pay in cash! The owner’s daughter Ilicia was so thoughtful that she even provided me with a birthday sign and pink plastic butterfly’s to put on top of the cake! I truly support small businesses like this. If you happen to be around the Moline area I highly recommend giving them a try. I’ll follow up on the cheesecake and cupcakes.

Update, the cheesecake was soft and creamy and the cupcakes were delicious, airy cake and the icing was light and fluffy, just right by not being too sweet! Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday a little sweeter!

We ordered sandwich and wrap trays for my son’s birthday party and it was the best decision ever. Sooo many people commented on how fresh and delicious both things were! The food was so good, we wanted to eat it for leftovers- twice! For the quality of ingredients and overall presentation, the price was definitely worth it. The chicken salad alone is 11/10. Jasmine was super helpful and it was easy to confirm order via text with her. Will definitely recommend this business to others!

We had a wonderful lunch! We had the Italian and cranberry salad. For sides I had delicious tomato bisque and my Mom had macaroni salad, really tasty! Both of our drinks were fabulous! Raspberry tea and Horchata chai iced were excellent!

This place did truly not disappoint. If I could of gave 10 stars I would of. Truly a hidden gem and they deserve all the love. I asked for a variety platter for Valentine's Day and it was beautiful. Cheesecake, dipped strawberries, dipped Oreos, etc. they also have a lunch menu.

Fantastic bread, spreads, and sides!! Actually, everything tasted delicious. My boyfriend and I came across the deli right as they were closing and they were very busy. We were in town for a show at the Vibrant Arena, as were many other people. We were the last to order and get our food before closing. I had a mouthwatering Thanksgiving themed sandwich with a cranberry jam. My boyfriend enjoyed a club sandwich with incredible bacon! The owner brought us our food, samples of other items on the menu and offered to take our picture by some of their neon signs to mark the occasion. Despite being packed with people, the service was amazing and the food was even better. A must stop in Moline! My boyfriend and I drove over an hour to see the show and both said we would have been fine just having the sandwiches and heading home 😊

Love this place! The sandwiches are a great size with fresh ingredients. Soups are DELICIOUS and perfect for Midwest cold, but the desserts are a whole other level. Cheesecake, tres leches, cookies, mini cheesecake cups, and now cupcakes… everything is delicious. I’m not a huge cake person but Merissa(owner) makes her cakes taste so light and yet flavorful and the whipped cream is creamy but not too heavy.
I had an event at her deli shop and the staff was so kind, helpful, and had everything set out on time and made fresh. We were able to customize our menu for the event and it didn’t break the bank! Definitely recommend to everyone. There is something for you I promise! The image I uploaded is mixed fruit flower tres leches cake🤤

I'm not a huge cheesecake person but the birthday boy wanted a strawberry cheesecake. This cheesecake was beautifully decorated and so yummy! We served 10 guests and still had some leftover. Price was great for a cake that size as well. Would definitely recommend The Little Brown Box to anyone looking for dessert for an event.

Great spot for lunch downtown. They have the best BLT in the QC, the homemade wheatBerry bread alone is delicious. Lots of options for desserts and specialty drinks too. I have never been disappointed here.

-This was an incredible clean, with very fresh ingredients, and such a hospitable group of people running it. My gluten free sandwich was great and IT WAS SO SOFT BREAD! Which is a hard thing to get sometimes. Samples at the register with detailed explanations, knowledgable staff. Owner came around with samples, and was kind enough to get me dairy free options due to a severe allergy. Heart and soul is clearly poured into this place. I can’t wait to try their coffee flights.
-And I’d like to mention that I went in as a gay couple. Treated with total respect. There were groups of people of a variety of races eating at other tables too. One of their order had a little mix up, and the owner came out right away. Apologized and fixed it! Then gave them samples of drinks to make up for it.
-Owner came to every table and talked to everyone at the table. One daughter was working front. Knowledgeable and kind.

Today I decided to finally try this cute little deli. I was greeted by two sweet young ladies. The ladies had me sample some things. By the way all of that was just perfect. I couldn’t decide because everything looked so good. I ended up getting the Chicken Salad on Brioche with pasta salad. While waiting the girls work, and keep up talking with me. I noticed they had milk tea. I ended up having to get the Taro before I left. The flavors were amazing. The food was very fresh. I have not had a nice Chicken Salad like this since Cup of Joe’s left the downtown. I will be driving 30 mins again and again just to have the service and food I was given today.

Great food and wonderful staff! We came into town to see the sister-in-law and decided to stop for a bite.

The staff was ready to explain their extensive menu and even gave samples of thier most loved items.

The brioche bread was the moistest and best compliment to the maple bacon aioli on a BLT I have ever had.

It is definitely a stop to make if visiting the area.

We walked in and immediately were helped by the staff. They had amazing sandwiches. We got the Italian and the California ham. They were both so fresh and that bread they have is fire! My brother got the Tomato’s Bisque soup and he said it was the best soup ever. The owner came and talked with us. She was very interested to know what we loved and loved hearing our feed back. This is a great quality restaurant.

My husband and I came here for the first time today and I was definitely impressed. We recently moved back to the QC from the Rockford area and since our return it has been extremely difficult to find good service. We were instantly greeted when we came in and asked if we had been there before, which for me is huge because it helps take the pressure off ordering immediately. The owner came up and walked us through the menu and gave us a lot of samples to try. I loved the vibe inside the shop too it was very cute and welcoming. We got our food to go and It was so well packaged and delicious! We will definitely be returning !

Delicious! My first time here and the girl at the counter was super helpful! She recommended The Italian sandwich. It was amazing! The bread was soft and perfect amount of meat and toppings! I will be returning and recommending this place to EVERYONE!

This was my first time ordering food from here. Icame into pick up food, owner was very nice explained the menu throughly. Everything was exceptional and fresh. We will be back again.

Finally got to try this hidden gem! Had the chicken salad on brioche bread and it was DELICIOUS! Hubby had grilled cheese and tomato basil soup. He said it was by far the best soup he’s ever had! We definitely will be back!

Absolutely amazing food and staff. Everything is handmade and really detailed in tmwhat they serve. So many different options that they are more than happy to let you try and explain for you. I've had a few different sandwiches and soups and they were all great. Don't forget to get yourself a piece of cheese and too, you won't be disappointed!

Finally got to try this today and it did not disappoint! There was quite a line as we went right at noon and the staff handled it well. When it was our turn to order we still were undecided. As we looked over the menu we were offered a sample of chicken salad, tuna salad, and 3 house made sauce/condiments. The chicken salad was SO good. I got it on wheatberry bread which was thick cut, soft, and DELICIOUS! I also had a cup of tomato bisque soup which was soooo good! I even went back and ordered some more of it to take home. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Near the end of our lunch one of the girls noticed my friend and I were in scrubs and asked if we were nurses. When we said we were she said hang on I’ll be back. She came back with cookies and thanked us for our service. She went to check to see if she had missed giving us a discount. - we did not qualify as their discount is for military and first responders which was totally fine I just thought it was sweet of her to go check and then bring us cookies. Wonderful experience all around and will definitely be back!

first experience and absolutely loved it! We had a variety of foods at our table as well as desserts (cheesecakes) . everything was delicious from the soups, wraps, sandwiches, and sides. Got to meet the owner. She was very well vested in her business and customer relations as well as her employees !! Very professional.
