Murphy Inn

My coworkers and I went here for lunch on Friday, February 23, 2024. We had a party of 12 and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. A number of us had the all you can eat fish and chips and the fish was excellent! Those of us who had the fish reordered more numerous times. It was cooked perfectly and not overly battered. We all agreed that it was some of the best fish we’d ever eaten! Will will definitely be back!

We love Murphy’s friendly staff and good food. Nice environment. Tons of parking. We both got salads with chicken and they were giant.

Went for the all you can eat fish dinner it was our first time going here. The food was great the service was absolutely fantastic.
It's a nice place to eat and drink.
We will be going back.

This is the second year in a row my husband and I have stayed here for our anniversary and we will most likely do it again. I have read through the negative reviews and they made me laugh. This place is great. Food is good, staff is super nice. The rooms are really cool...
Listen, it's a building from 1836 or something... It's not perfect. I love the vibe in the upstairs rooms.. Lots of antiques. As far as bed bugs... No. Having been a person that sued an apartment complex in Austin, TX ten years ago for moving me and my family into an infested apartment... I look at every bed, every time, anywhere I go. There is ZERO evidence of them here. This place is a little gem. Love it! Yes, there are clearly locals in the bar/restaurant, but it's a small town.. It's to be expected. We have always been treated very well by staff AND the locals.

Great food great staff. Great atmosphere. The team works hard to resolve any issues. They are courteous and Friendly. Will definitely come back!

Monday is 1/2 off large pizza!! Very tasty! Wait staff are fast and friendly.

I've only had the opportunity to eat there 3 times in the 7 yrs I've been in SC all 3 times got something different all 3 times were excellent all the way around

Very very funny and friendly wait staff! Had a burger and it was awesome and filling! Very timely service during rush hour.

We had the padding melt and the rubin sandwich on marbled ride was absolutely wonderful.

Had lunch with a friend. I had the chicken wrap and fries. It was super delicious!!! The service was great, too. I haven't been there in years, but I'm already looking forward to going back soon.

We had several friends come into town this month and stay at the Murphy Inn. They loved the rooms upstairs, each one quaintly decorated with an old fashioned minifridge. It's the best kept little secret in town if you have guests needing a place to stay!

Such a wonderfully unique place to grab a bite to eat! The food is far superior to your regular 'bar food.' The portions are quite large and can easily be shared. But with so many tasty homemade choices, you may just want to share more than one delicious item. And I'm a huge fan of leftovers for breakfast! You'll enjoy fast and friendly service from the entire staff. And if you happen to need a place to spend the night, I highly recommend The Murphy Inn. The rooms all have private bathrooms and each has their own special charm. It's a treat just to peek into the rooms to see how each is decorated. Since it's an old, old building you can expect it to feel and behave like one. To me, that makes it all the better. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay and would not hesitate to stay again. It's such a beautiful area as well. It has the feel of being 'up north' (a Michigan thing) without the huge hassle of driving there. While you're in the area, be sure to check out the incredible ships making their way up or down the St. Clair River.

Best liver and onions I've had in a long time. The chopped bacon and onions on top was a perfect combination. The black bean soup was very flavorful. The folks their are nice and attentive. The atmosphere is laid back, and a welcoming place for families. The building has a lot of history. Great place to visit.

We had a huge unexpected croud and they handled us very well, food was good !
