Dr. Cheryl A. Canto, MD

I went to my Mothers appt with her and met Dr.Canto for the first time. I was very impressed. She clearly explained test results and answered all our questions. She’s sweet natured, caring, and concerned for her patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Canto. I’m very happy with the care my mom receives from her. Thank you Dr.Canto!

I’ve been going to Dr.Canto for a few months now and as far as my experience goes with her I have so many great things to say about her, and her staff. She not only takes the time to listen to your concerns she also goes out of her way to share her own life experiences to help calm the stresses down. She is the best doctor I have gone to in the 30 years I’ve been on this earth. Thank you for being the doctor that helps, you are much appreciated.

Dr. Canto is knowledgeable and compassionate in family practice and acute care. I highly recommend this physician because she is an amazing mentor. The majority of her patients have been with her since she began her practice.

So I have been a PT with Dr Canto for maybe a yr.
Was in her office maybe a month or so ago. No problems until I needed refills on my sertraline and blood pressure meds. After fighting for my sertraline I finally got a refill now I can't get blood pressure meds. I've been off of them for 2-3 weeks. Called the office and they won't even listen. I'm surprised at you Dr. Canto! Isn't this malpractice? I hope I don't have a stroke ! I'm done with this office!

Dr. Canto is one of the worst Doctors I have seen. She doesn't listen to what you have to say, if you speak up “you're playing the doctor” & “you’re going to make me look bad for writing a script I know your insurance won’t approve” is what she had told me. I had asked for a new weight loss method & she fought me every way she could. I was kicked out of the office for standing up and questioning her. She's very outdated in the nutritional information she's giving her patients. Also, plan on sitting in the waiting room for a minimum of 45 minutes. Every good doctor that had been in the office of Port Huron Internal Medicine left within 3 months of me seeing them for the first time. I had to resort to seeing outdated Dr. Canto. It’s time to retire.

A very horrible woman, she doesn't deserve 1 star, she loves to berate you and deal with you in a very mean loud voice, she should find another job, wash clothes

canto is very rude and very belittling. i was told i was panicking about nothing when i had a true concern. would not recommend.

I had a terrible experience with Cheryl Canto, in my opinion she should not be trusted at all.
