This shop is a true gem. It’s heaven for natural fiber lovers, but be prepared to pay for the quality. I’ve visited twice and received excellent service both times. There was a mix up with an order I placed and it was resolved and the owner (?) gave me a kind gift for the trouble. This shop is worth the drive!

Scratch Supply is staffed by very welcoming and kind people. Having never knitted a pair of socks, they graciously took the time to cast on the stitches and give me instruction so that I could proceed on my own. All of this was done while sitting on a comfortable sofa and the owner's dog curled up next to me for extra encouragement.

Scratch is like an absolute candy store for fiber enthusiasts. I'm not local, so I don't get the pleasure of going that often, but when I do, my experience is always the perfect amount of individual browsing/yarn-petting time and help from super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

Scratch supply has been friendly and helpful every time we’ve been there. Their yarn selection has options at all price points as well as a good selection of needles and notions. Their shop dog Charlie is a delight as well.

From my first visit I felt welcome and my questions are answered politely. I have brought in projects or patterns when I am happy or frustrated and needing assistance, I have brought in welps from other shops needing inspiration, needles, or companion skeins.

Speaking of needles, the shop sells Chiagoo knitting supplies as well as hand dying supplies, small-gift stuffers: cross stitching, embroidery, scarf/sweater in-a-bag.

Need supplies but forget your pattern? If it is online there is a tablet for public use to retrieve your pattern if you have it saved to a Raverly account. Need companionship? Weekly crafting groups include just hanging out or learning new techniques.

The store is large, well-lit and uncluttered. Handicapped accessible parking is in the back and on the opposite block. Located in a building with an elevator.

Cute shop with crafts for everyone! Super friendly employees who are always happy to answer questions. Plus they usually have dog treats so my dog won't let me walk by without stopping :)

The yarn is beauttuful, with bright color options! Frienndly and helpful knitting tips. Beautifully displayed yarns. You're actually allowed to touch and undo the yarn! Cozy seating for those that want to stay and knit. Friendly owners on site. Cute town. YES! This is worth the drive.

Lovely store with a wide range of high quality yarns. Lots of indie dyers, including locals, which is great to see. Staff were very helpful and friendly without being pushy. Displays are very attractive - prices are comparable to what I’ve seen everywhere for this level of quality. I wish I lived in the area so this could be my LYS. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in the area.

Very friendly and helpful. I stopped by for some knitting needle stoppers and also asked if I had dropped a stitch in my project (I knew I probably had and I had frozen—not gone further). The person was so helpful. She picked up my stitch and showed me how to do it myself.

This store is amazing! Not only is the staff exceptionally helpful, pleasant, and fun to speak with, their selection is amazing too! Yes, they supply your standard products, stitch markers, knitting needles, yarn ball winders, but they also have a huge selection of indie dyed yarns. If you are looking for a cozy place to cuddle up while being surrounded by inspiration and color, Scratch is for you!

What a wonderful store! Very helpful staff and a wide array of beautiful yarns. Even beautiful knitting needles and crochet hooks. I am delighted to live so close by!

Excellent selection of craft supplies. There are yarns here you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else, with beautiful and unique colorways from indie and local dyers. Plenty of your standard and unique yarn and crochet supplies are available here, as well. The shop is staffed by welcoming and helpful people that will make you feel at home and assist you with anything you might need. I was so happy when this store opened in the Upper Valley. A few years later, I was sad to move away from Scratch. But - never fear! They have a smartly designed, sleek website that will hook you up readily with anything crafty you need from a distance. So thrilled to still be able to patronize a truly fabulous, friendly, and ethically sound local small business even though I’ve moved to a new state.

Scratch is my home away from home. They are beyond welcoming, so knowledgeable, and super willing to help if you have questions about an ongoing project. The yarn they carry is beautiful, they have a wide selection of needles and notions, and I've been thrilled with every purchase I've made. I couldn't possibly recommend them enough!

This is a wonderful LYS that's a must-visit if you're in the area! The owners are super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and they stock a great array of yarns with a specific focus on supporting independent and underrepresented dyers and makers alongside a few of the larger brands; I love knowing that any yarn I buy there has already been thoughtfully chosen with sustainability and social responsibility in mind. Their curated supply of notions and needles always has what I need, and it seems like their calendar of awesome community events is forever growing. Can't recommend Scratch highly enough for anyone interested in fiber!

I visited Scratch on Saturday during their Birthday event. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and really appreciated all the help (most notably Jessica - thank you!). I'm not great at asking for help, but desperately needed it to find the right yarn for a beginner project. Jessica took the time to read through the pattern to help find the right supplies. I highly suggest visiting! Will definitely go back as I continue my knitting journey.

Great yarn shop with a fabulous atmosphere. Gets your creative juices flowing! Interesting selection and great owners. I live in Seacoast NH, but make sure to stop in Scratch when I’m in Lebanon for Vermont Violins. Well worth the trip!

A friend recommended we visit this store when I came in from out of town and I'm so glad she did! Not only is there an excellent selection for knitting, embroidery, and painting, but we got to chatting with two of the store owners and found them to be super engaged, genuine, and kind! Five stars--go visit them as soon as you can!

I have both visited in person and order online. Both experiences were great! The store is inviting and stocked with a ton of yarn. When I ordered online, the yarn came quickly and was shipped in a compostable plastic-like package. Great experience all around!
