Indian Head Resort

We loved this place. So other reviews said dated, noisey, and bad food. Yes rooms were dated. It's an older resort. You can kind of hear neighbors. But they should also be mindful, respectful and not be loud in the first place. There was an odd noise in the room. I think it may have been a heat loop or hot water recirculation line. Neither were horrible to us. The view of the lake and mountain's are amazing.

We had a great time. The room was large, which was nice. We all thought the food was amazing. No complaints about anything. The eggs Benedict was a pleasant surprise at the breakfast buffet. The beverages were pricey but very good. I wish we spent more time in the heated pools. They were amazing and actually nice and warm. Some places say "heated" pools. These were actually heated! The hot tubs were hot. Clean resort. Great food. We'll go back!

Had the greatest experience with my son at the Indian Head. Underrated by far, the view was spectacular. Rooms were cozy. Pools were a total blast. Loved the laid back atmosphere and personable staff. So rare to find a place like this. Good food, good drinks, bar tender was a total sweet heart. Will be coming back on any stay in the white mountains.

I absolutely love this place and my 9 yo granddaughter actually squeals when it comes into sight. Mandy at the front desk makes you feel like she has been excited about your visit. The breakfast buffet this morning was fresh, hot and delicious. Val was Wonderful and welcoming, she also co stantly republished the buffet so everything was good and hot. The only way I could get my granddaughter out of the 2 pools and hot tubs was to bribe her with the gift shop! Till we got to the game room and then an hour later we finally made the gift shop.
This will always be our go to place for my whole family. ❤❤❤❤

I had my wedding here in September and it was lovely! Property is beautiful and made some really amazing photos! Venue was the perfect size and staff were very helpful!

Enough of parking. Beds are comfortable with alot of pillows. Staff is friendly, courteous and on point.
Facility is a little old but very clean. Great views of Indian head mountain! Will be coming back.

you just can’t beat the location if you’re going skiing/exploring in the white mountains area. i love this place and its old charm—have been going here forever! the folks at the front desk were all very nice. the complimentary hot cocoa & choc chip cookies are delicious…! we stayed in the rooms across the street. i’ll be honest that bed is pretty firm and the pillows too—bring your pillow from home if you’re sensitive like that. huge room though! the fireplace helps give the heat a boost; we were plenty warm. microwave, mini fridge, tv, lots of storage space in dresser & closet. shower water was always hot & good water pressure. thanks for another nice stay IH!

My daughter just got married there October 28. We have been going to this place for 40yrs. If I could give you a 10star rating I would. Everything exceeded my expectations the wedding people the desk the buffet was fabulous. Thank you all

Have your wedding here! Rebecca, Emily and the entire Indian Head Resort staff were exceptional! From their attentiveness, detail orientation, compassion, proficiency and kindness I couldn't be happier with my big day! I truly felt cared for and that everyone was there to help and support me. Every question I had was answered and every request I made was fulfilled. Indian Head truly helped me plan & execute a flawless wedding. If I could go back and change anything I wouldn't. Perfect is a heavy word but one Rebecca and her staff earned and deserve!

We were on a road trip for our honeymoon, and wondered near the Indian Head resort. We talk to Sid at the reception and she was amazing, welcomed us in the most pleasant way possible.
The room was very big, clean, with a wonderful porch facing a little pond.
We went to the out door Jacuzzi at night and it was perfect.
The whole experience from the begging was really good, we spend only one night but we wish we could stay for longer.

Great place for family fun! The backdrop is simply breathtaking. Lake view rooms offer an amazing look of the mountains. The lake is great for a paddle boat cruise. The rooms are clean. The service is spectacular and the food is down right delicious. And the gift shop is just perfect.

Amanda at the front desk was an absolute joy. She was kind, understanding, and helpful when we got caught in a tough situation. Highly recommend staying at the Indian Head Resort!

This resort has been a huge part of my childhood and I recently got married up here. My husband and I had the most amazing time staying at the resort. The entire staff bent over backwards to make sure our day was as special as it could be. My family has been raving about the wedding and the accommodations nonstop. Any reviews on here saying that the resort is out of date or dirty clearly went in expecting a metropolitan flashy hotel. This place is a cute mountain resort with breathtaking views and a charm that is incomparable. Special shout out to the front desk staff, housekeeping, bar tenders and the best wedding coordinators, Emily and Rebecca.

Heaven. The location speaks for itself. The staff I'd consider the second best thing here! Every single person is friendly with a local flair! We'll definitely be coming back.

We just recently had our second stay in the past 2 years. We did not stay at the "hotel" part, so I can't really comment on the rooms per se. We stayed in a cabin. They are very simple, but I love the rustic aesthetic of it. They are not modern but they do have a big mounted TV. (Perfect for the non-outdoorsy person or like my kid, a gamer). It heats by propane so the water gets really hot. I love the "fireplace" but the smell of propane is overpowering. You have to open a window or the porch door to balance it out. They are close quarters, so you can hear the "neighbors" clearly. In all honesty, these small inconveniences are forgotten once you walk out and enjoy the beautiful view of the White Mountains. The area truly is beautiful. The staff are so nice and extremely accommodating. We needed towels and we received them from the front desk and also someone hand delivered some at our cabin! Our waitress one night went above and beyond. She wasn't sure if the bean burgers were vegan and wasn't sure how to check it so she brought out the box so we could read the ingredients. The tower and walking around the lake is a must. If you want to unwind and have a retro feel of simpler times, this is it. Perfect family destination. We are already planning our next trip. We love this place!

We visited Indian Head Resort on Saturday night. They are conveniently located near the Sand Sculptors/Ice Castles in NH. We secured a cabin for the night and it was perfect. It was cozy. We also enjoyed the outdoor heated pool, that we learned is open year round. We also ate dinner at Indian Head and it was great. We plan on reserving a weekend for the ice castles in Dec/January.

We’ve been coming to the white mountains for years and finally decided to stay here and we were very glad we did. Incredible views, large private balcony in our room and very clean. You can definitely tell they’re constantly updating. Great fishing as well. Little too much chlorine in the pool/hot tub but other than that no complaints!

My wife and I have been here a few times with our kid. Each time we said, “This will probably be our last stay here”. HOWEVER, that all changed with our last trip. Whoever is running the resort now is doing a fantastic job. There was work being done to the building, 3 times as more staff (super friendly) than previous visits, and the room was great. The sauna was working again and the grounds were clean. The IH looks like it’s on the right track. There is a vibe amongst the staff that they want the place to succeed and you could feel it. I hope the continued improvements and commitment give the IH new life.

We spent two nights at Indian Head and the staff was accommodating, the entertainment was great and the entire visit was pleasant. We will definitely go back and highly recommend.
