Vito's Deli

Small deli with outside seating. Great gyros and homemade sides. Lots of quality groceries as well. One of the best gyros I have had. Got the Vitos and a slice of focaccia for later.

I'm visiting and I was suggested by a local person to give Vito's a try for their fresh mutz (mozzarella) and sandwiches. Boy am I happy about the suggestion. The staff was so nice and offered my friend and I a fresh slice of mutz and it was absolutely amazing! They are so friendly and even whipped up a sandwich for me according to my dietary restrictions. I loved it! It was huge with a bug piece of battered chicken with broccoli rabe (rapini). My friend had different kinds of salad and really enjoyed them as well. They have a few tables and chairs outside so that you can sit and eat. However there isn't any space inside. Thanks to everyone there for making it such an enjoyable experience for my friend and I. I definitely recommend this place. I will go back on my next visit for sure.

Vito’s is a brilliant little deli on Washington Street. The food here is wonderful, including all the sandwiches. I usually have the Vito’s which is delicious. Please see photo attached. They have some of the best Mutz in New Jersey. The staff are very helpful and very funny. They always make me smile, especially the lady at the cash register, they have a great camaraderie. Visit and you will enjoy. Buon appetito!

The sandwich here is phenomenal. I got the Hoboken, and really enjoyed the freshness of the mozzarella and the condiments. They also carry a variety of pantry goods that might come in handy for Italian dishes. Highly recommended, and will definitely stop by again!

Best mozzarella I’ve ever had. TRULY how it’s supposed to be. Creamy, warm, silky. I went at 4 PM (expecting, maybe, it would be a bit firm and cold), but it was warm and perfect. Their tuna sandwich was also very good. Great service

Best Mozzarella in town and certainly much more juicier then Fiore's Mozzarella ... My personal take is that Fiore's is over rated. However all in all Vitos Deli should truly be called the authentic official ' House of Quality ' .. Enough Said !!!!!!!

Wow. This is hands down the best Italian deli shop I've tried so far. The place is small and very active. Great customer service, and fresh / natural ingredients make the experience pleasant. I tried the daily special (Vito's Hero) and the Cappicola and Mutz basic hero. Both are excellent subs, but the spicy Cappicola blew me away. I recommend you try this with hot peppers to spice things up a bit. The fresh mozzarella is absolutely delicious! My mouth waters just thinking about it. Very strongly recommended. I know I will be coming back.

Authentic, perfect. PERFECT. PERFECT. Brings me back to when my mother and I would make sandwiches together on Sundays. Simplicity that bring out the most divine flavors. I love ordering from them. Want a great lunch? Catering? Go here! Prosciutto de Parma with fresh mutz, basil lightly seasoned, extra on both. Second is roast beef and mutz extra on both. Their bread is so soft and fresh. Big Shoutout to Vito’s for catering my son’s birthday party so perfectly! We ordered sandwich platters, & pastas salads and everyone raves about the food! Thank you George helping me with the order, making us such a fabulous array! We will definitely order again, it was PERFECT!

Definitely a good Italian spot to go to. I got a few roast beef and mozz sandwiches, fresh mozz and prosciutto. All of it was on point, the staff was extremely friendly, efficient and fast. The store has a wide variety of items, very fresh food and well stocked.

I know Vito’s is well-known for its Italian sandwiches, but I just had their Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese for the first time and it was awesome. Going to be my new breakfast spot in Hoboken

It's like a little bit of NY Italian mixed into Hoboken to create the perfect soup of Deli's. I got the standard roast beef and Swiss and madone it was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked and seasoned beef, sharp tasting cheese. Next time I have a job in Hoboken I'll be visiting for lunch again.

I stopped in two weeks ago to get fresh "mutz" We were attending a family gathering and I saw that Vito's is open on Sunday so I tried it. The mozzarella was still warm when I bought two braids. Family raved about how delicious it was. Fresh basil from my cousins garden that morning and Jersey tomatoes nothing better!

Their Italian Cuban is a absolute blast. Ingredient is fresh. I added hot pepper. It was not as spicy as I expected but it has a lot of flavor.

Really good classic Italian hoagie with just the right touch of something extra. Went during the day and got a sandwich for a happy hour price so that was definitely a plus. I’m not usually a fan of mutz but I gave it a try here and I can barely taste it. Everything on the sandwich just flows together. Definitely recommend to anyone stopping in Hoboken. Only sad part is I wish they were open later, but definitely worth the midday trip.

Delicious, huge sandwiches. The mozzarella is too die for. Do yourself a favor and get lunch here.

best deli in new york! i was blown away by this place. $10 gets you a dense italian sub with value you simply cannot find in nyc. on top of that taste wise the mutz shone through but everything else was plentiful and tasty

Just had Vito's Deli for the first time. I really enjoyed the Sigma Sub.

Mutz is the best!! Everything we ordered was spot-on and so delicious. Limited seating outside on sidewalk, which was perfect! Cute neighborhood. Get a bagel (or 6) next door. Awesome for when you can finally eat again after filling up at Vito's
