ACME Markets

I stayed during 10 days in Hoboken, and this was the place I came regularly to buy my groceries. I found everything I needed here at reasonable prices.

How great is this stores understanding of our needs in Hoboken, cheese and crackers, not affected price wise by the eight billion and a million dead of the extreme times in which we suffered. Equal opportunity US store, best value in our town

Great store! Always has great deals, the liquor/wine section is extensive. Lots of great prices on meat and fish. Produce section is great. And the store brand Mint Chocolate Chip Moose Tracks is the best ice cream ever!

The bakery department is outstanding! They have a great choice of ready to take cakes, cupcakes, cookies. The decorator does a great job. I can't be thankful enough to Emma. She is the best employee, professional and caring. I ordered a custom made cake with 48 hours notice, and even with short notice she made sure to accomodate my request. The cake was beautiful and delicious. My little girl was so happy on her birthday. I will come here to buy cakes for all my celebrations.

Just moved to the area from central NJ, and wow what a way better location than the ACME locations in the central Jersey area. Much cleaner, well staffed, friendly and the most critical - the produce and meats were very fresh both times I went there. Will go back

Great store, accessible hours and liquor section is a big plus. Centrally located in Hoboken and their online rewards system is fairly robust and saves you a good bit of money if you spend enough over time. Consistent selection with a decent amount of vegan products but sometimes they are slow to restock the store.

It's gotten better. Still like a "what if 711 was a supermarket?" though with regard to prices... good for a quick stop.

My local go to spot for groceries. Been shopping here since 1998 and the staff and hours are great. Highly Recommended.

Acme markets is a great store. All your grocery needs are met, veggies, fruit, dairy, meats and deli cheese counter. I go there twice a week customer service is good, staff are helpful. Highly recommend for your routine grocery shopping. Thank you

On 5/28/22 while online searching everywhere for my premature nephew's formula, I came across Acme on Clinton Ave in Hoboken. I called and the lady let me know the one the baby needed was in stock. The problem was, I live far from there and GPS said I would get there a few minutes after closing, but the baby really needed the formula. Customer service representative and manager understood the need, so they provided excellent customer service AND went ABOVE AND BEYOND. They waited for me so that I can get the formula for the baby! During these trying times, it's great knowing that there are good people who actually care for others and go out of their way to help. You have great employees Acme! They didn't need to stay, but they did and we are FOREVER THANKFUL!

I went here yesterday and I was really surprised. This was my first time shopping at this ACME. It's really clean, organized and the man at the front was really helpful. He had the patience of a saint. I keep changing my mind about my purchase and he didn't get annoyed at me. I will do more shopping at ACME.

When ACME first took this location over, I was not too pleased. Selection wasn't great and neither were the prices. Over the past few months, I have noticed a major change. They run some really good sales. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. They know they need to compete and they have been rising to the occasion. It's a solid alternative to Shoprite.

Came here on a Monday. Had stock here which was at its fullest and arranged so beautifully. The specials here went over full force with me this time: The buy one get one muffins, the fileted and frozen seafood, stuffings, seasonal pumpkin roll, hard-to-find varieties of waffles, frozen entrees and frozen pizza, paper platters, some produce. Didn't partake in the alch selections with wide decent selection and prices. Though not crowded, opted for self checkout. Acme is making a supreme effort.

I was happy because I found some health item I couldn't get in the Shoprite. They had some good sales...but mostly their prices are higher then Shoprite..I purchased a safflower mayo and it was 2.00 more then Whole Foods. That saying something..So beware. But all and all if its convenient don't pass it up..

Quick service, friendly and helpful staff. Sometimes out of certain items, especially salads and produce items.

My wife had band rehearsal in Hoboken. I drove her there. There was no parking anywhere. None. Zero. Nada. So I came to the Acme. I stood here for 45 minutes. I did my best not to look like a vagrant. I bought a protein bar because I was starving and the prepared food section was closed because it was 8pm on a Saturday. I suffered a minimum number of existential crises. The protein bar helped. I was not kicked out. 10/10 would Acme again.

Acme has the best bakery ever! The cakes are Soo delicious! They are not too sweet and they are decorated so beautifully! I purchased a cake that was decorated with Oreos for my son's Birthday and the kids demolished it. Usually, I have to throw what's left of the cake because they would not finish it. Anyway, I went back to meet the person who makes them so I cold compliment her. Her name is Guichun (not sure if that is how it's spelt). From now on all my birthday cakes are coming from this place.
