I organized a trip for 16 foreign guests. Our goal was to stay as long as possible in the NY area without breaking the bank. After an extensive search, I decided on the Holiday Inn Express, which I can recommend to any visitor.

First, the rooms are massive! My daughter and I had a 2 Queen s suite with city view. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough space to store our six suitcases without them being in the way. The City View was outstanding- the Empire State Building stood in the center our view.

In addition, the bathroom was large & well designed. We had hot water with decent water pressure. The Dove cleansing product were nice and the guest laundry room was appreciated.

The location was outstanding. Newport station is a short walk away, with connections to WTC and 33rd St. We didn’t have a car, but the lot never seemed to be totally full.

The staff was excellent. Leo and his team were extraordinarily helpful in assisting us with some minor difficulties (none of the hotel’s making). They greeted us warmly every day, without it appearing to be a false friendliness.

The hotel is truly a jem. Families should choose any two bed room, but a solo guest or couple should try to reserve a corner room with City View. These are the best designed rooms in the hotel.

Great hotel for a short stay. The breakfast has a lot of options to choose. Unfortunately, the famous pancake machine wasn't working. The place was tidy and clean, rooms were very nice, and the bed was very comfortable, just like the pillows. It's 10 minute away (walking) from the PATH train to Manhattan. Great overall experience

I loved the rooms, spacious for my granbaby, plenty of towels, the water pressure wasn't too great in room 505, My only issue is I stayed 2 days in 2 different rooms, and each time I found hair on my bed. Lines were clean, but I believe the housekeepers need to do a better job tying up there hair. Other than that, I will definitely return. Oh, n the front desk young man on Saturday morning was exceptionally helpful.

Overall a really comfortable hotel to stay at. When we checked in we are greeted by Roxanne , who was very kind and helpful and helped us a ton when trying to tour NYC. Room very very comfortable, shower was nice. Only thing I didn’t really like was the frustrating valet parking with the grumpy guy in charge of it, reeking of cigarette smoke. Location wasn’t great as it was right next to a dark alley with people that looked like they were doing drug deals but that’s not the hotels fault.

I like my stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean, housekeeping keep are room and towels clean all the time during our stay. Breakfast also really good and yummy. Good variety of food, location is not good because of the gas stations around but overall I like my experience in this hotel.

Great hotel. Leo at the front desk was most helpful in helping us country folks try and figure out how to navigate a big city. The room was great, very spacious and beds comfortable. Parking is tight but expected when in the city. The valet was great about getting us parked and on our way. Also, great city view from the 4th floor.

This is the perfect location, only 12 minutes by train to Manhattan, and 20 minutes walking from Grove Street. The staff was very nice and welcoming, our room was perfect, and we had a perfect view. Breakfast included is a must!

Stayed at the 5th floor corner room /suite and it was a great view although can hear constant traffic but that's a great NYC experience & view without physically being there paying an arm and a leg for the price .... The staffs such as Luisiana was amazing and making the stay there very pleasant!

We travel to Bayonne, NJ literally every other week due to my husband's work and we have tried many Holiday Inn Express locations nearby. We are glad that we finally found the one we will be returning to! Thank you!

This was a very nice hotel compared to others in the area for similar pricing. The beds are very comfy, the rooms are spacious! We got the family sized room with the city view and the view was absolutely beautiful! Breakfast is tasty and a few items rotate in/out of options every day. The service was awesome! Anytime we needed anything they were quick to bring it! Location felt safe and was only a half mile walk to the PATH station. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location for easy access by Path train to Manhattan. Roxanne and Louisiana on reception were very friendly and helpful. Great customer service from all concerned from the valets to the cleaners. Our room was always clean and cleaned well. The hotel overall was clean. Will definitely stay here again because of this, if ever back in New York.

We stayed here in July 2022 and we were a large group of 40 people. This is a very friendly and clean place and special thanks to manager Danny who was very helpful ! The entire group was very happy as it was a very convenient place, close to everything ! The fresh breakfast in the morning was just the thing tourists need ! Their lobby was a perfect place to sit and chat !
Highly recommend !

I was very very pleasantly surprised. This hotel is brand new the rooms are spacious the front desk is very attentive and even sent me text messages from time to time during my 3-day stay asking if everything was okay. When I called late at night to the reception and the phone didn't work, within just a few minutes the night clerk was knocking on my door. That's pretty reassuring. Bathroom toiletries were fully replenished and very nice. The complimentary breakfast was amazing with eggs and bagels and sweet rolls and bacon and turkey sausage and cereal and milk and different kinds of juices. For the price this place is great. Its location right next to the entrance to the Holland tunnel makes it accessible to virtually everything in Jersey City as well as the PATH and even Hoboken ferry terminal with a short walk.

Great hotel! Stayed there to visit new York, it's 1km away from the path station to get to Manhattan when walking and its right on the tunnel exit and it has valet parking if you are driving. It's very clean with a really good breakfast (so long as you are not looking for something fancy). The rooms are spacious with great wifi coverage and speed. The beds are new and very confy. Rooms have a mini fridge, desk and coffee machine with complementary coffee pods. Overall amazing value, I will recommendit and probably return.

Friendly staff and willing to help. Housekeeping was great - clean towels and made bed everyday. Brand new comfortable beds. Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the stay very much. Breakfast was good in the mornings - lots of selections. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area.

Rooms are clean and modern. Staff are friendly. There were a couple of usb outlets that were damaged, but the rest seemed fine. Shower, no bath. Used a double queen + pullout bed, but I had to ask for a blanket for the pullout. Blinds are very blackout worthy, even during the day, which is good because we came in on a red-eye flight. The breakfast bar is decent. They had cinnamon rolls, breads, eggs, meats, yogurts, cereal, and oatmeal. Drinks were apple or orange. Wife was saddened by a lack of waffles. In walking distance of Mall and PATH subway. There is also a McDonalds nearby with a walk-up window that is open after 9pm.

Edit: Reducing rating from 5 because of the reply I got. Vegetarians don't eat meat. And some like me don't eat eggs too. Then there was only one thing that I ate everyday - Bread and butter (sometimes yogurt, oats).

Suggestion: just like hot turkey things, have hot potato hash, or something like that. Thanks

Great big, clean rooms. The stay was satisfying and the service was decent. The front desk guy Leonardo helped a lot in the check-in process and was so good and nice to talk to.
I came in quite early in the morning before the check-in time and still the room was provided.

The only bad thing (being a vegetarian Indian) I disliked about it was the lack of Good vegetarian options in the breakfast. Only bread butter, or apple, were there. Wish they also keep good Veggie options in future with the Non Veg abundance present.
Diamond was very great today during checkout.. assisted really well.

Great location for a visit to NYC if you don't want to stay in New York proper. Easy to take the subway into the city. Nice, new room.
