I just love this bookstore... because it's more than a bookstore... it's a place where you can go and get lost in time and space, and connect with another world. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff is very friendly and people go there sometimes just to hang around or socialize...or find peace and quiet in a busy and troubled world. This is a place where you can feel the sense of the community and feel like you are part of it.... it's a place where you can feel the magic of books coming alive. It's a place where you can find books, volunteer, attend a puppet show, an art or a yoga event, or even a birthday party. So give it a try and you will be happy you did.

A charming little book store on the main drag in Hoboken, this shop has something for everyone. A nice mix of newer titles as well as unique and older books. Be sure to check out the bargain tables outside! If you're in the area, stop in and say hi, and support local businesses, especially this lovely independent book seller!!

Symposia is a little slice of Heaven in Hoboken. Great selection of books for all readers. Great community events and very reasonable prices for everything. Carmen is a wonderful manager and her staff of volunteers are very helpful and kind.

My absolute favorite second-hand bookstore I’ve been to! They have shows for the little ones and I always spy a book or two for me. Such a great place to spend a few minutes or even an hour!

Well, as a book addict (no I don't consider myself as a book worm cause I really like buying books, reading them is whole other story) this place is a heaven! When I went to this store it felt like I could live there for a while!
The book prices are crazy low and they have a lot of different books to choose from!

Great place to pick up some old and new books! Especially used to love the tables they have outside the store to pick up some books at a cheaper price. The inside is really cute and quaint and the walls are filled top to bottom of possibly your next read! Definitely check this place out to support a great local business! #shopsmall

Great used bookstore in the heart of Hoboken's shopping district! I have shopped for books here for years and am currently a volunteer. The atmosphere is welcoming and the store itself is ran well. Definitely a must stop when in or around Hoboken. Great section for fiction and so many big art books with great prices!

A great used bookstore, but also a great community place with a wide variety of events from puppet shows for kids, to open mics, to discussion groups, to occasional parties.

Donate your old books, or pick up something new to read. Used books, cheap. Check out the event list posted in the window for special events like open mic night.

What a welcoming, warm little bookstore! There's something for everyone, whether you're looking for contemporary fiction, classics, cookbooks, or kids books, and they sell on Amazon and Ebay as well. Carmen is lovely, greeting and treating everyone as if they were family. They also recently added a section for Book of the Month selections, which is a great way to get new releases for cheap!

My favorite bookstore ever! The staff is great and the selection is amazing. Every time I go, I strike gold. From their art books to biographies and fiction, I have a difficult taste to satisfy and they usually do. I recommend this place to everyone, especially for affordable books that are in great used condition!

Great place to donate used books

Just love this place. Found it accidentally and fell in love. Great stuff and there is a wonderful collection of books here. Almost all books cost only 6$ or even less. Definitely recommend this bookstore ♥
