Fulton Bank

I would NEVER thought that I could write a rating like this one for a Bank, nevertheless I would like to congratulate the management first, but also every single worker at this branch.

From the very first time they were absolutely nice and helpful in every way possible. They all appear to like their job, what they do, and the work environment. Thank you so much for making every time a pleasant visit!

Great bank, recently renovated. Close parking. Lollipops available.

If you are looking for a dependable bank with whom to do business, do NOT go to this branch! Fulton Banks are good. I highly recommend the banking system. We have used Fulton Bank for over 20 years. However, the Somerville branch quite frankly sucks! I have seen the staff knowledge decline to the point where I would only recommend using this branch to deposit funds or take out funds; essentially functioning as an atm!

On two occasions recently I needed to open accounts on behalf of my disabled son. For the first one, I had to wait for the “Universal Banker” (that was her Job title!) to figure out how to open the account. It took two hours of waiting before they turned me away for not having specific paperwork they required to open the account. When I returned with the correct papers, they needed to obtain approval in order to open the account. (Another day in delays!) On the third day, I was there for three hours before they were finally able to complete the process!

Then I went in this morning to open another account, had the same struggles. This time with another staff member, the same experience in delays and inexperience. After patiently waiting, I finally gave up and went to another branch where I was able to open the account with ease in under 30 minutes! SO frustrating! The incompetence and inexperience at the Somerville Fulton Bank astounds me!

Instead, I would highly recommend using one of the other neighboring Fulton Bank branches. The Manville branch, for example, has friendly, hospitable bank staff that welcome you, cordially greet you and are happy to help you. Go there instead of Somerville! Such a shame, too, because I live in Somerville. But My family will be going into Manville from now on for our banking needs.
