Ai sushi

Omakase is just beautiful. You cannot eat this kinds of fish anywhere in NJ. They are meticulously prepared and chef’s experience and skill are written all over! If you want the quality food, close your eyes for the establishment decor. It is unimportant. You will be there for the quality food!

In town for work, went here and wasn't disappointed. Some of the best sushi I've had. Place was empty though, only one other table and I was the only one at the bar. Highly recommend if you like this style of sushi.

Celebrating my anniversary with the first experience with omakase style. I really excited tasting the different kind of fish+parts the chef prepared. Loved the environment sharing stories with other dinning there. The fish is very fresh and handpicked by the chef. According to a couple sitting next to us, this is the best Japanese restaurant in NJ according to their Japanese friends. I would highly recommend too.

This is one of our favorite local sushi spots. Even during the pandemic, we would treat ourselves to their omakase (sushi selection by the chef) and a few of our other favorite rolls and items. Their food is always fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. In person, the service has always been great as well. We cannot wait to go back in person soon!

Personally my favorite restaurant. It is by far the best sushi I’ve ever had. The fish is way more fresh than any other place and it is perfect traditional sushi. Great staff and it a nice quiet spot to get something to eat.

Sushi was so good I was too busy eating it and forgot to photograph it. Next time! While it will not be necessarily easy to find this restaurant, it is tucked away inside a building, it is definittely worth doing as the food was terrific. Had edamame, gyoza, and seaweed salad to start. Had various sushi pieces for dinner. Very happy with the experience and the food was great. Nice selection of fish. Go check it out!

This location used to be former Shumi Japanese Restaurant I visited. My friend told me it has been changed ownership and turn into Ai... I stopped by for today's lunch and found out that former JoSho's owner/chef is now the 板前さん of the sushi bar. The other is former Shumi 板前さん. Wow.. what a surprise! Back to topic, the taste is absolutely wonderful, and the sashimi is of good quality, fresh, and well processed. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The price is worthy of what you pay for... Just the regular dining cost.....

This hole in the wall Somerville sushi restaurant is top notch. While it isn't the cheapest, the price is fair and it's always very fresh. Please don't go so there will be a table open for my party. Just kidding, but seriously.

Ai Sushi is excellent. The two veteran chefs at the sushi bar are the best in the area. If you’re looking for real sushi with rare real wasabi, Ai Sushi is the place for you!

I've been to many sushi places in the US and Japan and this place is absolutely amazing. The omakase is the best I've ever had.

We went for the "chef special choice" Omakase sashimi and sushi combo at the sushi bar. The quality, presentation and selection of options excelled.

My husband and I are seasoned sushi lovers and tried Ai Sushi tonight and loved our experience! We started with with the gyoza and ordered the sushi/sashimi for two. The pieces of fish were generous and the flavor, texture, mouthfeel were on another level. Our waitress was also very attentive and friendly. We look forward to coming back!

I love your sushi but on a $50 order grubhub wants $8 delivery fee, $15 taxes and fees, $15 suggested driver tip. Sakana on the other hand doesn't have any fees and they deliver 2 hours earlier than you.

I've been to Ai Sushi twice for their omakase, and I gotta say that this place is really good. Yoshi the sushi chef is legit, and makes me feel like I'm at a high end sushi bar. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy eating good quality sushi.
