Beet restaurant for miles! I’ve had Caesar salad, burgers, and cheesecake before but never like it was here. Other restaurants’ food truly pales in comparison. Fantastic atmosphere and service! 10/10

We have been wanting to come here since we lived in the area always drove by wasn't sure if it was open then found out it opens at 4 o'clock PM. We came in for Christmas Eve Dinner since it was a nice quiet night, I must say definitely as their slogan says Somerville's best kept secret. The Caesar salad was amazing the French onion soup not salty at all our steak and shrimp and chicken marsala will cook perfectly no room for dessert portions definitely generous. We had Marianna helping us out here on Christmas Eve with a great smile and making everybody around feel good and was told lots of locals come here and I could see why it is there kept secret.

Absolutely delicious! Thick juicy burger on a fresh bun.. it was fantastic. Fries are good too, definitely will be back!

A classic Mom & Pop restaurant, filled with families. Mom started it and now the son and grandson run it. Service was fantastic, with the owner visiting us many times. He has a great sense of humor and was fun to joke around with. He was super flexible with our order. The food was perfect and portions were great. This would be our new favorite place if it was close to our home.

Got the Chicken Marsala; the meat was tender & the sauce light.
Got Brownie a la mode & asked for chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla; received & was soooo decadent.

We were a very big party that they may have been not ready for. The servers were in the weeds the entire time and took forever to order. HOWEVER, when we finally ordered and received our food, it was deeeelish. Potato skins were very good. The steak was cooked perfectly. The NY style cheesecake was very yummy. My wife loved the Brownie Sundae so much, I don't think I saw any of it. The wait staff, who I felt bad for, tried really hard and was very polite so I had no issues there. My nephew had the burger and wasn't a big fan of it. I tried it and neither was I. He did like my steak though. The waitress told me that just about everything is made on site and u can tell. I would recommend this place though as the positives far out weighed the negatives.

Great food. Very friendly and accommodating staff. My wife doesn't eat meat. The chef came over, asked her few details and got pasta out in few mins! And on top of that dessert on him. He didn't have to do it, but it was a great gesture towards us being there first time. If not for the delicious food, I would still go there to grab a drink and say hi to staff!!

Visited for the first time....Amazing atmosphere, the best Steaks, wonderful service (Angela was our waitress...very friendly & attentive)...Loved it....Customer for life....Thank you Angela for making it a memorable evening for me & my son.

My husband and I have been wanting to go here for awhile and we finally did tonight. Not disappointed!
I had the scallops neptune which were delicious. Melt in your mouth.
My husband had the Cajun steak cooked to perfection.
We had 2 of the desserts: mile high, fluffy, creamy cheesecake and the chocolate chip cookie ala mode. Basically had to roll out to our car.
Our server, Dee, is really lovely & recommended several items.
Cannot wait to get back in here!!

Comfortable atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, great food, excellent pricing, even the bartender Cindy came out to the dining room to suggest after dinner drink options. Definitely a keeper, enjoyed the experience, will return soon.

I have had great experiences here at Sarah Janes since we’ve discovered it a few months ago. Always a good meal at a reasonable price. I like their seafood selections and their filet. My go to is the Stuffed Shrimp. Also great tasting burgers but the French fries are just ok. It’s become a weekly routine. Great friendly bartenders and wait staff.

went there for the first time tonight the food and the service was awesome. The cream of chicken and rice soup was homemade was really good an had moist pieces of chicken. My husband had the French onion soup an said it was the best he had in along time tasted like his mom used to make❤ we both had burgers and they were absolutely delicious! 100 percent fresh ground beef. My husband ordered the cheesecake that the chef himself came out and told him he made fresh that day. My hubby said it was the best cheesecake he ever had he actually called it “ beautiful “ . We will definitely go back soon to try one of the dinners.

We have been driving by this place for as long as I can remember and for whatever reason we never stopped in. We finally made reservations and checked it out; I can say it's a not so hidden gem! The food is delicious and priced how you would expect. I had a delicious, perfectly cooked steak and my wife had the scallops. Both portions were very generous. Inside of the restaurant looks old but clean; the kind of place you feel comfortable at. Our waitress was great. Can't wait to go back.

My father came up to visit from Florida and wanted to do dinner. I'm so happy my fiance recommended this place. Food was perfect salad was a little sad but everything else was amazing. My dad keeps taking about how good the food was.
