Wow. This is some damn good soul food right here. . Potato salad? Yessss pleeeaaassseee. Collards? Hells yeah. Jerk chicken? Yeah mon! This place is so clean and the food is delicioso. I came here after a funeral/burial for a loved one. I was so distraught. The only comfort I could find was in food. So my sister hipped me to this spot near her job. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the artwork on the wall and the clean and spacious seating area. I had the jerk chicken with collards and potato salad. I could not wait to get home to try it. The portion size was sufficient for $12.00. I really wanted to try the dessert but nothing chocolate was available that day. There is plenty to choose from. Ox tail, catfish, fried whiting, Turkey wings, and meat loaf just to name a few. You have cabbage, collards, rice, and the ubiquitous Mac and cheese to add for sides. I can't wait to get back here. Hopefully under more pleasant conditions.

Amazing, friendly, all homemade! Seriously delicious. i was able to get multiple meals from my 1 dinner.
Just wish mash potatoes were a side...but that's me.

Ordered on door dash and this was really good. We got honey BBQ wings, grilled salmon, collard greens, potatoe salad, max and cheese, cornbread, and fries and 2 sodas. It was $55 but it was worth it. Highly recommend this is the best soul food in our area.

Have heard good things about this restaurant so stopped by 3 days ago. Had great spare ribs with green beans and baked beans. Returned today to see if that earlier dish was an aberration. Not so. Today’s orders were even better. My wife thought the macaroni/cheese and cabbage were excellent. I agree. I need to try more of the entrees, but again the ribs were the best I’ve had in years. Why? They had a smoked crust usually found on meat smoked for hours. The meat fell off the bone, but were not soft like ribs boiled too long or precooked in a crockpot. They had a light sauce which allowed the taste of the meat through, rather than being masked by a sauce. My next trip will be for the fried and smothered chicken.

Absolutely love this place so much! They serve real food that actually tastes good! I don't like to eat out because it's all the same everywhere you go, but anytime I can't cook I will come here. Their oxtail is the most delicious I've had and better cornbread can not be found! Everyone I bring loves this place too no matter who they are. Highly recommend this place.

Pork chop is my favorite on the menu. The place isn't fancy looking, but you won't be sorry you stopped by for some southern cuisine.

First visit yesterday. Food was hot and delicious! Plenty of signs stating CASH ONLY when you walk in. I'll definitely be back. Got the fried chicken wing dinner (nice and crispy!) with collard greens and baked macaroni

Love the custom service, while doing an open house in area. My husband located this spot. Next thing I know I have a very pleasant articulate gentleman explaining the menu by phone. He even answered additional questions like are the vegetables cooked with pork? No! Great we ordered lots, Turkey wings great, sweet potato pound cake even better. I look forward to working in area again. I love taking clients to local businesses. Please visit.

I really felt ike I was At Home in Louisiana while I was eating the crispy well seasoned cat fish. The turkey wings were mouth watering good. I usually do not eat carrot cake because it is too sweet however the carrot cake was fresh ,moist with just the right amount of sweetness. It was excellent. I rate the soul spot #10. I was born in the southern part of the United States but raised in the North but I never lost that taste for that southern cuisine and this restaurant satisfy that urge never disappointed fresh ingredients serve hot like I like it if you're in the area looking for some soul food stop by you won't be disappointed peace

Awesome customer service, made me feel like I was apart of the family. They feed you and aren't stingy with the quantity. Made my tastebuds go back to the days when my grandma made Sunday dinner. Great prices for great tasting food!

Went there last weekend and the service was good I'd gotten the BBQ rib dinner and the turkey Wing dinner""" when I got home and ate yummy 😋 both dinner's were excellent also got peace cobbler right out of the oven everything was delicious 😋👍🏼

The food is always top notch! I recently decided to not eat meat. The vegetables here and how they are seasoned, is alone worth the visit. Trust me.... just call ahead to place your order and bring cash.
