Haiku Asian Bistro ( Scarsdale)

Absolutely exquisite, intimate, quickly turn around service, beautiful presentation of the food. I went for a sweet intimate lunch date during the day, it is a small space with a bistro dining section on one side and a full service bar on the other. Between the decor, furniture and lighting, I forgot it was day time! I was enchanted with the delectable drink choices and impressed with the fair prices for everything. Great lunch specials! The coco Mai drink was my absolute favorite! Excellent Shrimp tempura and Miso Soup! Great free parking on site, out door seating available when the weather permits. Can't wait to go back already! 😩

I searched Asian food restaurant near me that day, and found Haiku Asian Bistro. I was really surprised with their good quality! Its flavor, quantity and beautiful presentation made me feel I was enjoying the real Asian food! The lady even knows the best way of the dish facing me on the table!

Haiku never disappoints. This Scarsdale location is not quite the madhouse White Plains, and Bronxville is. But whichever location you choose the food and service will always be first-class.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to this place both with family and friends. I’ve tried the other Haiku’s and don’t bother with them - this one is by far the best. It is reliably delicious and fresh tasting. And it has great waitstaff... There is no other restaurant in Westchester that I can think of that has the staff speedily and sneakily clear your finished plates and refill water even when super busy. Most of the time I don’t even notice them doing it - it’s like magic!
Sushi is what you should order here but some of the hot food is good too (like the the sesame chicken and seafood soup).

So, it's in a strip mall, yes - but give it a chance. This was the best sushi I have had in recent memory. Eating it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling all over (may have been the Sapporo). If you eat much sushi, you probably know that the difference between good sushi and great sushi is the rice. This is great sushi. It made me acutely aware of the 3.5 billion year evolutionary history of the fish. I felt the weight of time and the interconnections of the planet's biochemical cycles. I observed myself as a self observing. It dawned on me, I and the fish were a single entity encompasing everything. By consuming it I participated in a willfull internal restructuring of the distribution of matter and energy in the universe. I was not in control any more than the fish was. Staff was polite and attentive. Will definitely be back.

My local go to place when I’m in the mood for Sushi. Food is always fresh and tasty. Their cooked meals are also very good….fish in ginger/scallion sauce is a lunchtime favorite of mine.

I come in for lunch almost everyday. Shirley the young lady at the front is always so nice. Everyone is always so nice. Shirley always remembers my order and it comes out quick and hot. Thank you so much for the great lunches while I worked across the street. I will definitely miss coming here as I will be relocating to Florida. Great atmosphere! #haikuforthewin

The Sushi is heavenly.
I am so sad that I don't have a Haiku close to where I live. Can't wait to go back and visit.

Quick good service with quality food.

We have eaten many wonderful Asian meals at Haiku on White Plains Rd in Scarsdale as well as their restaurant in Bronxville. Their service is excellent and we’ve enjoyed many of the items on their menu.

Friendly environment, good service, great food. The restaurant looks clean, the ambient music is good and not too loud that allows to speak and have a good time. The only thing that did not reach my expectations was the orange ripieno desert, a good idea not well executed. Besides that the overall experience was quite good.

We happened to be in the area and chose to eat out at Haiku. We ordered the Chicken and Bokchoy, King Crab Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll and Crab cheese wonton. Compared to all other restaurants, the food was flavorful but not overpowering. The rolls were spot on not too much rice and a textured outside with a good sprinkling of sesame and roe. Fresh baby bickchoy was garlicky. the chicken white meat was moist and no raw or gamy taste. I eould defintely go back!

They have very good sushi and amazing Japanese foods. The sushi tasted like if you were eating it in Japan. It tasted very fresh and you only have to wait less than five minutes to get it. There salad was fresh and delicious. They also had soup which tasted as if your grandmother made it. There prices were very reasonable for sushi and other Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the most delicious meals I ever had. We went here for lunch and had two specials off their lunch menu and they were both phenomenal. The service was very friendly and fast.

Hands down the best place for sushi in Westchester, I love the one in White plains too. The sushi rolls are super creative and I love the fruity drinks. The fish is always fresh and I can never decide because the food is so good.

It also caters to people who don't eat sushi. My dad enjoyed the chicken teriyaki and my mom loved the udon soup.

I always have to stop here when I'm in town. A sushi lover!? Come here!!

Just had the sushi Lobster Sandwich was amazing and my friend tried the Korean Beef which was excellent. Service is outstanding and the manager is customer focused when compared to their other establishments if there were 10 stars I would definitely award them with that rating.

This Haiku location is better than the other locations. Food is consistently good and the service is great. Their bartenders also make great cocktails with warm and friendly service.
