I liked this hike. You'll find lots of shades. It feels like you are on a maze. There is a type of challenge at the beginning, you have to find 17 posts during the hike. We didn't know about it until we finished. Kids friendly.

There is some road constructions on the area, be aware.

We will go back someday and do the challenge.

Great trail; with all the snow melt and rainfall in late April 2023 though it's very washed out and outright unsafe in places right now. It's normally very well used though and in the past has been a very nice and pleasant trail, so I'd expect it to be fixed relatively soon probably within a month.

This is a great place with tons of options. You can mountain bike, hike, run. And I have even seen people on horseback from time to time. There are numerous side trails that branch off from the main trail. There are campsites as well as an orienteering course. Some sections of trail are marked by difficulty. I think there is even a connection to the boneville shoreline trail somewhere. It's great for hiking in any season, and is tons of fun for kids and toddlers. If you take some of the branch off trails you can find some very brautiful views of the city. Definitely worth a try.

The Kaysville East Mountain Wilderness Park is one of my favorite places to take my doggo for a quick hike. The trail system is large enough to not feel crowded, even during busy times. There are several campgrounds, an orienteering course, and beautiful views.

We love to come up here for quick, easy weekend camping trips for the family. We backpack in and the furthest campsite is only half a mile from the parking lot. Flush toilets in the parking lot, at least in the summer.

Absolutely great trails and views. Warning: almost NO ONE leashes their dog and normally isn't a problem, but something to keep in mind.

Cool place close by town to hike around or have a fire. It was perfect for the kids. Trails just sort of wind around and make them feel they are in the deep woods.

It's a great trailhead which leads to many others. There is a compass course and a Vitacourse here and some mountain biking trails. It really is a fun place for adventurous families.

Great trail for kids. Watchout for bikers on the second half of the trail as it is very narrow.
