This company has completed two large painting projects at our home. True professionals. The work they do is very high quality. All the prep work they do really shows in the final product. They have painted walls, ceilings, trim and cabinets. All look great. The finish on the cabinets looks like it came from the factory. Highly recommend Chagrin Home Improvements.

I called Chagrin Home Improvements for some deck repairs and refinishing. The work they did was excellent and well-priced. They showed up on time, included me in decision making during repairs, and did great carpentry work and a wonderful paint job. All of the workers were professional, friendly, and trustworthy. Most contractors over promise and under deliver. These guys are the opposite. John and Joe both visited to assess the project, took time to answer every little question, and gave us an estimate that included all contingencies, ensuring that there were no surprises. They painted our original, 1960 Paul McCobb for Mutschler kitchen cabinets inside and out, and did a sharp, gorgeous job, matching with new paint the color and sheen of the original stain perfectly. Looking for contractors with MCM sensitivity and experience can be a challenge, and we were extremely impressed.

There are so many great things to say about Chagrin Home Improvement. Their work was impressive. They took their time and rehabbed our deck in the best ways possible. Our deck looks way better than we even expected. The guys who did the work were easy to talk to, very communicative and cleaned up everything. The owner was easy to deal with and managed my expectations very well. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

It was a pleasure working with the company. The project was done on time, with a lot of efficiency and attention to details. We are extremely happy with how everything came out. Communication was very smooth. Everybody on the team was very pleasant to work with (Joe, Evan, and others). We had the deck repainted and a few other miscellaneous things taken care of. The team went above and beyond to listen and attend to our needs. On the day when they came back to put the furniture back on the deck, they also thoroughly checked and touched up a few spots. That level of professionalism is just so rare these days. We highly recommend this business and will be returning in the future.

I want to thank Chagrin Home Improvements for their outstanding work. We just finished having them paint our cabinets, repair some damage to our bathroom wall and paint. We hired Chagrin Home Improvements to paint the exterior trim, soffits, and facia on our house. They started by power washing the exterior. When they were done, the trim looked so good, we hired them to paint the siding also. The siding paint was sprayed on, but the guys took great care to cover everything up and we haven't noticed any issues. Afterwards, they checked everything out and touched up where needed. The house looks amazing! All the guys are extremely friendly, hard working, conscientious, and professional. We highly recommend this company.

We used Chagrin Home Improvements this fall to prep and stain our deck. We have a large, multilevel deck that needed some TLC. It was probably the best experience I’ve ever had with home improvement. They were very busy and my appointment was booked several months out, but Joe and John were very clear on timelines and their communication throughout was fantastic. Knowing what to expect made the waiting manageable.

The most impressive part of their service was the time and care they took with their prep work. They spent a lot of time putting down tarps and putting plastic on the house and windows to make sure we didn’t get stain anywhere we didn’t want it. They were considerate, did good work, and cleaned up meticulously when they were done. We will use them for other work when the time comes.

I would also recommend adding the primer step if you are staining or painting a deck. It didn’t add much cost, but should extend the life and durability of our stain.

Great experience all around with these folks.

I highly recommend Chagrin Home Improvements for deck cleaning, deck repair and deck restoration services. I was specifically impressed by their end to end contracting processes from detailed written quote, timely responses to my emails, accurate cost estimates, professional personnel, and complete cleanup and accurate invoicing. Special recognition to Bill and Mick and their team in restoring my deck to my expectations. Also, I was pleased with the timely responses from the owner, Joe Jacobs and the head of operations, John Storaasli. I will definitely use Chagrin Home Improvements again on my future projects.

I used Chagrin Home Improvements to refinish my deck. It was in a pretty poor state due to years of neglect, but they replaced some of the railings, stabilized one of the railings, power-washed everything, and re-stained. It now looks good as new! They were very easy to work with the entire time. Very happy with the work that was done.

I cannot emphasize enough how lucky we are to have found Joe Jacobs and his company Chagrin Home Improvements. I have used Joe‘s company a couple of times over the last few years and the work is always fantastic.

The members of his crew perform their jobs like surgeons. They are meticulous in their prep, set up, masking, taping, tarping, the performance of the actual task and ultimately the cleanup. They have always left my home in better shape than they found it. They use their pressure washing wands and all the multiple attachments like artists. And their paint work and deck staining is done with the utmost care. Not a drop anywhere. Perfect coverage. Long lasting protection.

I would recommend Joe Jacobs and Chagrin Home Improvements emphatically. And if you want the proof all you need to do is drive by my home!

I cannot recommend this business enough to people. They are truly amazing, and a rare breed these days. Throughout the entire process they were incredibly responsive with all of my questions / changes to the project. They were also very patient with me when I was selecting a paint color for my cabinets. Additionally, they took their time to ensure that the job was done right - at the highest quality. Our painter was so professional and nice - you truly cannot put a price on kindness. Last but not least, they offer really fair pricing! I will be using them again in the Spring for my deck.

A neighbor had used Chagrin Home Improvements for their deck refurbishment and it looked great so we decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed. The first two employees, who’s names I regretfully didn’t write down, did very needed and somewhat difficult carpentry repairs and then power washed our large lower deck. A few days later, a second crew, Albin and Bill, came to tape and then stain the deck, and even made a recommendation to stain one part of the stairway that originally had been painted, and it looked so much better! Everyone was professional and courteous, and Joe was very responsive to my communications with him. We are quite satisfied with the beautiful result! Joe, it has been a pleasure to work with you, and there are two more of our decks awaiting your care in the future. Thanks!

These guys were pretty easy to deal with and did their job. The porch looks great, really good paint job. Their power washing technique for the house was also pretty great. One thing I’ll say though is they seem to like tossing “we’re a small business” in your face…a lot and that made me worry it was going to be an excuse for a poor job or other less-than-stellar thing, turns out it wasn’t. They were better than most of the “big” painters I’ve dealt with so I would recommend them.

We hired Chagrin Home Improvements to refinish and paint all of the walls on the first floor of our home. It was not an easy job, with the removal of wallpaper, and fixing lots of damage. They were fabulous! Bill, Evan, Wade and Mick were such nice, hardworking men. They worked quickly, cleanly, and did such a great job. Our home feels like a completely new and fresh space!
