Matteo's Italian Restaurant

Stopped in today for lunch. Cozy Italian restaurant. My wife had the Ravioli and I had the Gluten free grilled chicken with vegetables. Both dinners were excellent! The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend!

Such a great restaurant! The owner went out of his way to greet us at our table during our meal, I also noticed he took the time to chat with each table that got seated around us as well. I ordered the gluten free gnocchi with chicken which was UNREAL! My server was great with my food allergies. I also love how all the entrees come with a side salad. 10/10 service, food and staff!

I like this little Italian restaurant. The service was excellent. There was no room at the bar so we sat at a table and drank a beautiful caramel salt drink. Beautifully made, excellent drink for $8.00 we had a pizza appetizer, just wonderful. The waitress was very attentive. Parking was about 5 minutes away. If you are in Olmsted Falls you have to try this little gem. Once again, great service!

Nice restaurant I want to go back to again. I had lobster ravioli before, brussel sprouts, salad, all very tasty.

We came here to celebrate a 2nd anniversary for our son and daughter in law. We decided on an early dinner and arrived around 330. We ordered a cocktail and appetizer first, which were very good. I had the Chicken Matteo and have enough left for 2 more meals! My son had a veal dinner and DIL had the Lemon chicken. They had left overs as well. Our 13 month old grandson had the children's portion of spaghetti and meatballs which would have been enough for me, so of course.....leftovers again! Hubby had fettuccine alfredo. They all raved about the pasta and how good it was.....so thinking it was fresh made, not a dry, boxed brand. My son tried the Italian Bread soup, very good too! Service was good and our server was very attentive and pleasant. My parents have been talking about eating here and I will definitely be bringing them!

I went with Matteo’s for my wedding dinner and it was perfect!! We had a small wedding and used their upstairs private room. It was a beautiful time and their food was SO good. Like, amazing. I couldn’t have had better. Thank you so much to all the staff that helped make the night great 💕

Such a great Italian restaurant! Delicious food and friendly staff. You can tell the chefs care about the food they make and have a passion for their work. All the food tasted very fresh and the atmosphere is both upscale dining but also relaxed and friendly. Would recommend to anyone!

We had lasagna, seafood pasta, house salad and the best Italian wedding soup. Took most of the lasagna home since it is a very large size. The staff was friendly and very attentive to refill drinks, bread, etc. Great place!

It is hard to really try any Italian food other than the in-laws, but this place was surprisingly delicious! I had the garden vegetable soup and a side salad. The soup was fresh. The salad was the perfect size. The little one had, of course, spaghetti and meatball. The noodles were delicious! Child approved. The man had an order of meatballs and the baked bruschetta. Delicious! Meatballs were pretty good, but it is hard to compare any meatballs to the father in-laws!

Food was very good. We had spaghetti and meatballs and Lemon chicken. Our friends had lasagna and Chicken Matteo. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

We also shared a chocolate mousse cake for dessert. It was delicious and very big...enough to share for sure.

I would make reservations as it seemed to get filled up and this was a Wednesday night. Although we were able to make reservations that day for a 5pm dinner.

I would recommend Matteo's.

We have been working our way through all the restaurants in the Olmsted falls area this year. Today's trip took us to Matteo's.

Had a reservation just to ensure we would have a table which seems it came in handy as there were a few large groups already seated when we arrived.

Looking over the menu, there was a good mix of appetizers, salads, pizza, and quality Italian restaurant options on the menu. We ordered the sauteed calmari and the meatballs as our appetizers.

The calmari was prepared well and was not over cooked or rubbery as calmari can get. Had a good flavor overall with the provided red sauce.

The meatballs were amazing! The blend of the cheese, red sauce, and ground meat blend worked extremely well in the dish. They were quite large and a good portion for 2-3 people.

For entrees, we ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, lemon butter chicken, and the manicotti. The spaghetti and meatballs had the same meatballs as the appetizer, which paired really well with the, what seemed to be freshly made, spaghetti noodles. The lemon butter chicken was prepared perfectly with the chicken being fork tender without being overcooked and dry. Paired with linguine noodles and the lemon butter sauce, the dish worked well and was quite tasty. The manicotti was also quite excellent. The mix of the pasta shell with the ricotta filling and paired with a slightly sweet red sauce was perfect.

For dessert, we ordered a slice of lemoncello cake and an order of cannoli to go so have not tried them yet but they looked amazing.

Overall, had good service through the whole visit. The one oddity, there seems to have been a slowdown/change somewhere in the chain of things. We ended up placing our drinks and appetizer order, getting our drinks/appetizers, and were partially through eating them before our server had come back to take our entree order. That was a little odd but I noticed the same situation at other tables so this just might be standard here. This extended our overall visit but we didn't mind as we were catching up with a friend at the time. Had we been more pressed for time, it could have been an issue though.

Overall, would absolutely recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for some fantastic Italian cuisine.

We did the Titanic theme dinner, it was so great! The Captain greeted us at the door, an interesting presentation by someone who worked on set design from the film, and awesome 10 course meal with great wine, thoughtful menu choices along with great service. We will be back for sure!

This place is absolutely phenomenal! The food was amazing. The service... wow! Maria was so knowledgeable and suggested wines to try that we loved. 10 out of 10 recommend! Thanks Maria!

This Restaurant was Absolutely Delicious!!! We have been coming to Olmsted Falls for some time now and always wanted to try out this restaurant. I don't know why we haven't sooner. From the appetizer Meatballs and Sausage Appetizer to the Chocolate Cheese Cake dessert everything was perfect!
We also had the Wedding Soup, some of the best Wedding soup I've had. The entries was the best of all. We had the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Chicken Matteo... both werr amazing. That Chicken Matteo was to die for, the lobster sauce it was sitting in was heavenly.
Other than the great food the restaurant is super cute. No outdoor seating, and I do recommend reservation because they are busy. The staff was very kind.
Location there is perfect, there are shopping things near buy and a great little ice-cream shop near there too that's one of our favorite! Will be back again

Food was really good. Seafood was cooked perfectly, and the cannolis were some of the best i have ever had. Great atmosphere for a nice date night or anniversary.

If you haven't been to Matteo's recently, it is well worth the visit, nice comfortable atmosphere starting, excellent service starting with the greeting by the hostess, or even Tom, the owner, when you first arrive, and an excellent variety on the menu complimented by the daily specials. If you want to arrive early, you can enjoy the lounge area to start your experience. Beyond the meal choices, don't forget to leave room for a dessert and/or a gelato.

So happy to have Matteos open for lunch again! Thanks To our excellent server, Jaime, who took care of our party of 14 perfectly. Compliments to Chef Tony Rocco And his team for the delicious food! All the food is good, but When you go, be sure, and try the brussels sprouts from the appetizer menu. So good!

Started with some drinks and they were delicious and pretty strong. Oven baked bruschetta was really good! (Coming from someone who doesn't usually get bruschetta). Wedding soup was good as well but the Caesar salad was amazing. The lobster ravioli was one of the best either of us has had and the chicken parm was a really good large meal. Got the cannolis to go and had them a while later and they too were also amazing. We found our new Italian restaurant. We sat in the bar area and service was great. Next time we're going to make a reservation and sit in the main section to see what it's like in there.

We finally made it to Matteo's this week and I regret not having made it years ago! Our dinner was fabulous, as was our server (Gina). We had stuffed mushrooms and shrimp limoncello brushetta (Gina's recommendation) as appetizers and both were great. For dinner, I had the pork chop in a great mustard sauce and my husband had the veal parm. I was torn between several entrees, so we will definitely go back so I can try the lasagna and a few other things. For desert I had the limoncello cake (so light and refreshing) and my husband had tiramisu gellato (not a typo). I had two lipstick martinis, and my husband had the manhattan and a glass of red wine. We will definitely be going back. The restaurant is small and quaint, and you definitely get attention from the staff without it being overbearing. The bar area is also cute. It was a great night out!

This restaurant is so unique. Everything is excellent. My favorite is their lasagna but anything is great! Try them once and u will be hooked!
