The Old Bag of Nails Pub - Mason

Old Bag of Nails is one of the absolute best places to go if you are looking for a great fish meal. My husband and I travel for an hour and a half one way to experience the most incredibly seasoned, lightly breaded, cooked to perfection fillets we can find. It’s served with steak fries, and Cole slaw, but my husband requests their hand dipped onion rings instead. Delightful. Two, very large fillets, not just one. I wish I could tell you about anything else on the menu, but when you love fish, and you find the perfect meal, why get anything else?! Staff was very attentive and the atmosphere is very mellow and non intrusive.

matt was nice server. clean place, old rustic decor. bathroom floor slick. fish sandwich was good & large. tarter sauce was also good. thin fries had lots of flavor.

I feel so stupid. I thought this was a nail salon until my friend recommended how good their food was. I have truly been missing out! Their mussels were some of the best I have had in the city. I will now be a frequent customer. The service was incredibly on point. Their cocktails were enjoyable and it wasn't blasting with cold AC that I wished I had a sweater. I was comfortable from beginning to end. Thank you so much

A friend and I came in on Saturday night for a drink and watch the Red's game. Sat at the bar. The wasn't overly crowded. Very comfortable. People were friendly and chatting but it wasn't so loud we couldn't talk. We had some nachos and cocktails. The service was friendly, the drinks were made well, and we had a great time. Definitely recommend. The only thing that would make it better would be some live music!!

Stopped in after a quick trip to Kings Island. We had been a few years ago and remembered enjoying it. Today was no exception.

The space is huge but welcoming with a giant middle bar that was very comfortable to sit at. Staff was quick and friendly. Pretty great selection of quality craft beer alongside the standards.

My girlfriend ordered the blackened fish tacos, and the bartender helpfully pointed out that there was a lunch portion on the menu that we overlooked. The lunch size was a perfect amount of food. The tacos are relatively big and super tasty. Perfect spice and quality fish.

I had the fried fish Reuben and it was fantastic. Something you don’t often see and I was very pleased.

My family and I enjoyed our dining experience. The Chicken Nachos Appetizer, which my wife ordered as her main course, was enough to feed a minimum of two people. The Chicken was juicy and flavorful, and coated in melted cheese, fresh jalapenos and green onion. I ordered the Traditional Reuben was chock full of fresh made and tender corned beef, swiss cheese, tender sauerkraut on toasted marble rye bread. A delicious Reuben sandwich. The thick cut fries were delicious dipped in either ketchup or barbecue sauce or just plain. Our son ordered the Chicken Tenders from the kids menu and he loved the crispy coating and juicy chicken. For dessert my friend and I enjoyed the Bread Pudding coated in bourbon sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream. A great way to end a delicious meal.

Good place to go to just chill. Not a loud place. The food was great and the service was great. Will definitely go back on my next visit to my mom's in West Chester.

Stopped here for lunch after leaving the T-Mobile store next door. It has been on my "want to go" list on Google Maps for a while. Wife and I both had the philly cheese steak sandwich. We were very happy with the price and quality of the food, and is the best sports bar/pub we have been to in the area. Place was clean and tables are huge and include a tv to watch the game. Not a huge beer lust, but definitely had some solid picks for a slimmed down list. I had the Three Floyd's Apocalypse Cow Double IPA and this is now my favorite! Definitely recommend for a good lunch spot.

We love this place. The mussels and shrimp are always my go to. Fried mushrooms for the appetizer. And you have to try the carrot cake. So good!!

I live over 30 minutes from The Old Bag of Nails in Mason and nearly make the trip up every week. The food and drinks are amazing, but the main reason I come here is because of the people. Jess, Crystal, and Jaime are some of the best people I’ve ever met in my life. They have become my second family and put a smile on my face on some of my toughest days/weeks. I know that I can count on Bag of Nails to put a smile on my face. I leave there better and happier than when I came. I can’t imagine life with out my Bag of Nails family!

Stopped in for late dinner with wife. The service was great. The food was above expectations, and tasty. Clean table! A sports broadcast right at the table. The Fish and Chips dinner is not a "snack" like in every other place in this area....it's is a delicious meal!!!! I will be back to this wonderful place. This was my first time to visit...who knew? Enjoyed it very much.

Absolutely delicious!!!! Had the corned beef rueben and it was melting in my mouth. The fries were so fresh that the oil was still sizzling on them. Service was fantastic. I've been there once before which made me go back and service was just as excellent as the first time. Beer selection changes each time I've gone allowing different types to try which is very satisfying. Highly recommend to anyone that wants a variety of flavors on both drink and food choices. Would give more stars if I could.

A great environment. The bartenders were great and provided great service. I had the fish n chips. They were delicious! The building may appear to be small from the outside but it's actually quite large. Great place.

Our Sunday bartender was great! Burgers wonderful. Mushrooms were really great.

Everything is super delicious! Even my kids eat all their food from here. I will continue to come here. The absolute best!

Its been an year since I have been living in Mason Grand and never got a chance to visit this place. However, this month we (i and my husband) went there because we had read a lot of raving reviews about their Fish and Chips.
Guess what, we were not disappointed at all and those Fish and Chips actually lived up to all the hype. They were definitely the best we have ever had.
Apart from food, everything else was also great from service to interior, space to ambiance. Perfect combo.
Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here. Our girls ate for FREE because apparently every Sunday is free for kids under 12 - we weren't expecting that. So that was the cherry on top of amazing service, clean restrooms and delicious/affordable food! Also, we 100% recommend the fried pickles!

Great atmosphere if you like sports. TVs at some of the tables. Service was good. Food was outstanding. Shrimp and mussels dish was the best I have ever had! Sauce was incredible. Can also get a Reuben but seafood style with fish which was also excellent.

I heard that they have good fish. Went there to find out. It was awesome kids eat free for dinner . Bread pudding awesome

Visiting in the area and wanted a good salad after traveling and eating fast food. Ordered through GrubHub for pickup. When I went in to pick up, I waited at the host table for a few minutes. When the person directed me across the way, I still had trouble finding my order. I guess she thought I was the driver instead of the guest.

The salad were very good. I would return for the food, but not the service.
