El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant

Terrific all around. The atmosphere was a little more intimate than most Mexican restaurants with plenty of room around the tables and warm relaxing colors all around. The service was outstanding from knowledgeable and accessible staff that made you feel like you were the only group they were waiting on. And the food was not only great but plentiful starting with warm chips and bowls of salsa. One in our small group of 3 had a specialty of house platter with a variety of meats and sides while another decided to go with a build your own by choosing different components. I chose the chimichangas with a slight twist to suit my palate, which they readily accommodated. The cheese sauce was perfect and our whole time there an enjoyable experience. Will definitely travel there again, so worth the trip!

Hands down the best Mexican I’ve ever had. My meal was exquisite the beef tip Chimichangas are the best! Don’t pass up this gem of a restaurant

My family and I enjoyed a nice meal. The service was great from start to end. The portions are generous and the food is delicious!

The skirt steak was perfectly cooked. Taco bowl rates a 5 star too. Staff was great.

The food was excellent! Served piping hot, even had that little sizzle of the steak still cooking to perfection coming towards the table! Service is very good, staff friendly and on point. Not much pricier than other restaurants with similar offerings. Worth every penny, and still have some to take home for later!

I love this place! Always great service, food and atmosphere. And I love supporting local businesses. The owners live in the area and take pride in their establishment.

Food was fantastic..very quick service. We had a mixed drink and was good also. Service staff was very friendly. We had enough left over to have for supper tomorrow night. The shrimp size were very large and ALOT of them. Would definitely visit again if we are back on town. Worth a trip.

When locals frequent a place, you know it's gonna be good. This was no exception as we loved the fajitas and spicy salsa was hot like we like it. Service was perfect and enjoyed endless chips and salsa.

My family and I stopped in for dinner and we were greeted and they told us to find someplace where we wanted to sit. Got seated and we had a waiter which ended in terrible service... We got our dinner and were never asked if we needed refills, never did he ask if the food was good?! Never asked if we needed anything.. Did not say thank you come back and see us. My biggest issue was that he never once asked if there was anything he could get us. Nothing!!! I definitely will not be back and no he did not get a tip because the service was terrible!!! And he didn't even bring out the food .. I looked around and saw other waiters and waitresses that were stopping by their tables. It's like we were invisible.. I'll take my money elsewhere as far as I'm concerned. And to top it off there were nats and flies flying around. Yum!

This place has amazing food and a great selection on the menu. Highly recommend! Amazing service as well!

My son and I have lunch most Friday's. The staff are personable and accommodating. The fish tacos with the broccoli slaw are my favorite.

Food is always good. Had large family gathering. Service was great considering the number of people, the room was very hot and uncomfortable. But it was worth it. Being with family and friends ❤ always a good thing.

Best Mexican food I have had in awhile. Place was clean and I was greeted promptly upon entry. My food was cooked to order. Spoke to the young man behind the bar ,he was quick to help and efficient. Shall I say better than expected!

the pibil dish from yucatan (#30) is the best, and the Al pastor tacos are legit...Great service...friendly staff.

A birthday party for a friend, and it was great! Only two complaints: they were out of romaine lettuce, so I couldn't have my first choice. The other is they were slow getting the checks to us at the end. The food was good and fast, and we had a good time.

Food is always very good... Service is always good, (Great if Isaiah is your waiter!)... Prices are very fair... And you can always find a place to park...for the value, the best dining experience in Delaware!
