Agave Family Mexican Restaurant

Very good food, and very good service. My wife and I showed up and it was a packed house. But, they made sure we got seated fast! The wait was not long either. Very clean establishment! Worth the visit! Their enchiladas mole is delicious, as well as their enchiladas verde!!

I highly recommend Agave. It’s an amazing Family Mexican restaurant located in the small town on Main Street in Afton Wyoming. The restaurant is always busy but the staff is very friendly and get you right to your table. They always welcome you with fresh chips and salsa while you wait for your food. All the food is very good and the prices are affordable for the area.

Excellent Mexican cuisine in Afton, WY. Surprisingly good food with a top notch decor. Very comfortable dining room that is a notch above most Mexican restaurants. Food is seriously good and cooked to order. Many families but all age groups dining here. Highly recommended. Salsa good, cabbage/pepper salad very good.

Serving size is large, food was delicious. Staff was very helpful and hardworking. Place was filling up while we were there and they were hustling. As a Hispanic, I really enjoyed my food.

I’ve been coming here for 15 years. Every time I visit family in the area I come here. If you want to support a well run local business and have a fast meal, stop here! Probably some of the best Mexican food you can get in Wyoming. And not a tourist trap.

Overall, the food is good, the price is good, the service is good, and the salsa is awesome. What more can you ask for?

The food is pretty authentic and tasty. They have really solid enchiladas, and great lunch combination plates. The portions are decent too. My favorite is always the Chile Verde or Chile Colorado. Tortillas are fresh and warm. The only thing to watch out for is I’m pretty sure they put the plates in a broiler or oven to melt the cheese, so the plates can be hot!

The service is always good when I’ve been, and the owners are very kind. It’s owned and operated by a single family. It’s a great spot for groups!

If you’re passing through or live in Star Valley, definitely stop by!

The best Mexican restaurant I have visited so far. Me and my family enjoyed delicious food cooled with love and friendly service here. Were treated as part of family. 100% Recommend to attend this place if you visit Aften, Wyoming.

The food was excellently delicious. Orders came out quickly. The prawns, w/mushroom & chipotle sauce, including rice and beans was fabulous. Warm tortillas, yum. Our waitress Valeira was very helpful, anticipated our every need. The atmosphere was jovial. Happy bellies, happy life!

We found this place when we stayed in Driggs for our Teton National Park trip from Boise ID. The first night we became hooked! We ended up eating dinner there for the entire 4 day stay. Can't recommend it enough. Great food and a lot of it!

As travelers arriving in Afton, WY from Las Vegas, NV, we were unaware that businesses, including restaurants in Afton, closed by 9:00 pm. We were surprised when at 8:45 pm we arrived at Agave Family Mexican Restaurant only to be told it was almost closing time! Very graciously, the hostess said, "But come on in." The place was packed with locals who seemed to be enjoying their meals very much. They were right! The food was great & ample. The atmosphere was casual and friendly. Service was also great, friendly, & prompt but not intrusive. Our meals were affordable, and as we paid our bill, we apologized for having caused them to stay open after closing. Again, very graciously, we were told they were happy we chose them for dining with them. Definitely five star!

A piece of Mexican food heaven right in the center of Afton, WY. They have a delicious pico de gallo with cabbage and black pepper salsa that is amazing (see picture). I ordered the combination for two and will always order this again in the future. The steak, chicken, and shrimp were all thoroughly seasoned with unique flavors that were to die for. I’m making it a point to always stop here on my way to Jackson, WY.

Great food at a reasonable price. Surprisingly good considering the size of the town and the location. I really enjoy the chips and salsa and you can’t go wrong with almost anything on the menu. Fried ice cream for dessert is always delicious. Friendly staff as well. One of my favorite spots in The Valley.

Agave is one of my favorite spots in Afton. The food is consistently great and even when staff is limited you can tell they are doing their absolute best to take good care of their customers.

Really great Mexican food, not to be confused with TexMex or other spicy type food. Spicy is available but most of the menu relies on more subtle flavor. Good drinks, good service and good food, a real winner. Street parking with additional parking behind the building, beer, wine and limited sprints available including Margaritas in several sizes.

We eat here all the time. We will drive the 50 minutes it takes to get here just for this restaurant. Our favorite is the seafood enchiladas! The best!! Clean and good service.
