Salt River Grill

A great local diner that has anything from breakfast to dinner, pasta to steaks or sandwiches and burgers. The fries are battered and amazing. The wait staff is friendly and very attentive. Prices are average for the area it is located in, in the valley, and is open late until 8 pm in case you want a late meal. A clean restaurant that was recently remodeled.

Definitely a stop you need to make! The food was delicious and the portions were more than average. I had the best club sandwich I've ever had. My husband loves the Mexican burger. The chef and waitress were both so friendly and inviting. Well worth the money.

Classic diner that is clean, friendly, and roomy. The hamburger I ordered was thick and really good and my brother loved his Philly. The menu has a lot of options for different tastes. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Wasn't busy and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The booths are actually pretty fun for small groups.

Drove up from Salt Lake to adopt a dog in Thayne and by the time we were headed out of town it was pretty late. Salt River Grill was one of the very few places still open. Stopped in and grabbed a few burgers with fries. The food was awesome and the staff was very nice and polite. It was about $10-$15 per person but we didn't complain considering there were no other food options between Afton and Evanston aside from truckstop pizza in Cokeville. We'll definitely stop in again..

The Baja salad was so good and absolutely piled with succulent grilled chicken. The bacon cheese burger and fries were also exceptional. Beautiful, clean and bright family owned & operated restaurant.

I’ve been here for breakfast and lunch. I have received stellar service each visit. Restaurant is very clean and spacious. Food is served quickly and consistently delicious. The Philly Omelette and Star Valley Breakfast Burrito are fantastic!

Great place, great food and great service. Family ran place and excellent all around. So much better than that fancy tourist trap down town...Colters Lodge... that place is AWFUL!!

If you are looking for excellent home style cooking, this is the place. Food is excellent the staff is very friendly. A small town gem. Baja Chicken Salad A+++

Best hamburger and coleslaw I've had in a long time. Service was great too. Restaurant was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. Will stop here next time I come to AFTON.

It was my first time in Afton and didn't know what to expect. But the hamburger was so delicious! Exceeded my expectations. Soft and juicy with a great taste. Fries were good too.

We showed up with 13 people and no one else there at about 7:45 pm. They graciously opened their dining room without complaint.

Best fries and mt dew ever.

The food was very good and our server was very attentive. Several of us enjoyed the Cowboy sandwich which was very good. The combination of roast beef, cheese, mushrooms, and a special horseradish sauce was outstanding. I really liked the beer batter fries. They were crisp and full of flavor, especially with the fry sauce. Next time I am in town I plan on coming back for more.

Great home town grill! Fresh cooked and smells awesome. My burger was flamed grilled and very tasty. Fries are battered and don't even need ketchup! Very open and old time country on the radio for a nice environment to eat. Very good eats.

Yummy chocolate chip pancakes! Friendly service and great food. They also have the most amazing prime rib sandwiches.

My family and I really love this place! I've never been disappointed, and their best kept secret is their Baja Chicken Salad! Loaded with yummy grilled chicken, avocado, cherry tomatoes, cheese, peppers, and leafy greens with choice of dressing. Delicious and very filling!

This simple grill makes great food. I’m a healthy eater and that’s hard to find on the road. I ordered a super fresh salad with crisp vegetables and really great grilled chicken. My daughter ordered a side of steamed vegetables and they were delicious. All 6 of us ordered different meals from pasta to grilled turkey sandwich and everything was really great. We highly recommend Salt River Grill. Don’t let the simple environment turn you away.
