Yim's Market

Yim’s Market is always friendly and welcoming customers. Before each transaction they always ask,”did you find everything okay?” Shopping on a budget, it’s easy to shop with their prices easily found. It’s a smaller Asian Market, but they have most of the items I need. They also consider other items not available upon request, but not necessarily immediately done. For example: the Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z sparkling drinks.

Stop by their store to try other fresh goods are located near the entrance into the establishment. Another great place to find unique items to try and eat are in the front of the cash registers. I have found pastries, fruits… so many more surprise goods at the registers.

This is the best market for Korean products in Reno/Sparks. I found that most other markets carry other asian products but this one is mainly Korean imports which was what I was looking for. Everything is reasonably priced. The staff is very kind and helpful. They also give recommendations on why you can use for the meals you are trying to prepare. They have a fridge full of different banchan which I haven’t really seen in the other Asian markets in town. I would definitely recommend this store.

What a great store! They have a fantastic selection of kimchi, numerous fresh mushrooms and fresh vegetables. There are also cooking utensils and dishes including hot pots and induction tops. Teas, noodles, rice, frozen meats, seafood... the list goes on and on. Definitely recommend!!

One of my top go-to markets for hard to find Asian inspired recipe ingredients. With a myriad of domestic and imported products, you are sure to find exactly what you're looking for, and then some. Oh, and the in-house Kimchi: 그것은 물론 맛있습니다

They are remodeling a small area in the back to expand I am assuming which is a good thing. The store has a lot of stuff but some common items are not carried by Yim's. The veges were not super fresh but it's Reno for Asian veges, can't expect much. Price was reasonable. Very tight so dont bother if you have to drive a mobility scooter. UPDATE 12.4.22.

I've used this market off and on for twenty years and I've love every product I bought. The bulogi (idk if I spelled that correctly) is out of this world. They even carry the products to make your own homemade style. The fruit is always sweet and fresh. I can't say the same for the big stores in my neighborhood. They also carry some great instant coffee and asome teas that can't be purchased any where else in town. Please keep up the good work.

Best store in Reno/sparks for any Asian food needs. They make the best kimchi, fresh Korean sushi, seaweed salad, papaya salad, octopus salad and so so much more. They also have super friendly staff. The girls in there are always
really helpful and I asked someone to help me find 3 products because I just didn’t know where to look for them and they were just super kind and helpful and didn’t make me feel bad like some other stores or places do.

I always get my sushi grade tuna here and it’s undoubtedly the highlight of whenever I make sushi for my family. ❤

An awesome place to find what you need for making your favorite Asian dishes. A small shop with a ton of great selections and those hard to find pieces of produce that many supermarkets do not keep in stock. A bit on the pricey side, but reassuring to know it's going to a local business.

There are many products to choose from.
It's a pity that the kimchi of this shop just before was very delicious because the store made a new one. It's now being imported due to a problem. but not the same as before

Feb10'21-Update: Yim's has made a couple of great improvements since I was last there. One being new products, which you cannot typically find elsewhere (too many to list); Two is the hiring of friendly and knowledge staff.

Great place, friendly customers and staff, and amazing products. If you're ever looking for that one thing that you just can't find for your recipe, try here. Once you go in, it's very hard to leave without a basket of meal opportunities. Killer noodles of all types, hot pot or Phó ingredients, whatever your wish. Excellent produce and a great selection of mushrooms also.

My first time there, I live here in stagecoach for over 1 years. The Cashier very helpful, you make sure I know about the price of one bags of glass Noodles, she asked are you sure you want the whole bag s she asked she said is a little bit over price. That's is good customer service I give her five stars, good job well done, they have sushi and stirred fry noodles is ready to eat it kinda like the International Market in Las Vegas, it a little smaller

Yim's Market is a tiny treasure. They have everything you need for an Asian meal. They have Korean, Chinese, Japanese food and more. Their produce section is targeted to Asian cuisine. Whether you like to make your meals from scratch or add to a prepared dish, Yim's is for you. They are so helpful. They also have cookware and small appliances, such as rice cookers. Going there is a treat.

Really friendly and helpful service. I come here fairly often for small trips and recently couldn't find the product I was looking for and I also couldn't remember what it was called. They knew what I was looking for based on a description and searched the stockroom since they didn't find it in the cooler. I think that most places wouldn't care and would just say they're out of stock. One of the girls found it for me after a few minutes but it was more expensive than I was expecting. As I was checking out she ran back to the front and said she also found the other brand which was less expensive. Thanks for taking the time and effort since even simple gestures can make a difference.

I love this store! The produce is wonderful, they have homemade kimchi, and I always stock up on their frozen veggie spring rolls or dumplings. Prices are very resonable. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. AND they listen to science and require face masks, so I (a senior citizen) am reassured that my chances of catching the virus are low at their store. Kudos all around!

A great place to get all your Asian food needs

Yim's has a great selection of noodles. They have Thai, Chinese and Japanese styles. I bought all three styles. Got some dried seaweed at a reasonable price. They have they're own in store made products too. I got kimchi. The clerk was so kind and friendly. She even bagged my kimchi in a small clear bag so it won't get all over my other groceries. I'll be back again to get more!
