Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of East Valley

We are so thankful for Encompass and their incredible staff! My dad was in and out of the hospital and at three different rehab facilities this summer, and Encompass was hands down the best. Our case manager, Wendi, was incredible thoughtful and worked with us through every concern, making sure my dad was ready to go back home independently. It meant so much to have someone on the care team who was truly invested in his long term recovery and safety. My dad loved his experience there and was impressed with everything from the staff to the food. Highly recommend!

My time at Encompass was so amazing and rewarding. Every single person in the facility was so kind and full of respect and compassion for me and everyone else there. They not only helped me to regain my health, but also taught me the steps to take down the path of total recovery. I worked very hard for myself to get better, but I also worked hard for those who were helping me. I wanted to show my appreciation for their hard work and their confidence in me. I not only regained my health, but also hope and confidence that I could completely recover. This was a very happy and successful experience for me and I highly recommend them. I have been in other rehab facilities, and they were nothing like this experience. Encompass is definitely the best! By the way, the food was excellent.

My father in law was admitted last year around the holidays. Everyone took such great care of him! They treated him like family and really lifted his spirits in a difficult time. Thanks to all the amazing nurses and therapists, he was able to make it home in time for Christmas. He can't say enough good things about Encompass Health, the staff, the delicious food, cleanliness of the facility, and overall experience!

If I could give a 10 I would. Looking at all the positive reviews, there is not a one I would disagree with! This is a first class facility that helps you be the best you can be. Be prepared to have therapy 3 hours a day which absolutely helps you achieve your goal of recovering from whatever your there for. Very encouraging, pushy but don’t force you. Keep in mind, you are there to better your life. This is not a one stop facility, some places want to have you go from their hospital to their rehab facility, not necessarily what is best for you. This place specializes in therapy only. From kitchen staff with their welcome smiles that greet you when you are having a rough day to the nurses and care givers, I was blessed to have come here! By the way, this is my second stay here and this is where I asked to come! Thanks for the excellent care I received from top to bottom, you will not be sorry you choose them to help with your recovery! ❤😊👍

I was apprehensive about going to Encompass because I had had bad experiences before. I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful Encompass was! Bright, well-kept single rooms, caring, responsive doctors, nurses, aides, and administrators. And the GYM and PT/OT STAFF are outstanding! The gym is large and includes an outdoor area and a kitchen and bathroom simulation area. It includes any type of equipment you could ask for. And the staff are some of the most caring people I’ve ever met! They’re truly there to help you. They ask what you’d like to work on during that session, then make sure that’s incorporated into your time with them that day. They let you decide how hard you want to work, but they do push you to succeed.

Treated at this facility for approximately two weeks after experiencing a seizure.

Staff was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and responsive. as well as friendly.

The therapy sessions ere very effective and provided a good starting point for post discharge therapy activities.

As other reviewers have noted, the entire staff were outstanding in my opinion.

A great wonderful place. They helped me get back on my feet n walking again after I got in a bad car accident. Physical therapy was great i thought it was once a day but no they got me up 4 to 5 times a day which I liked. All the nurses were nice polite always there for me. Thank you to the Dr nurses dietician housekeeping and staff for taking great care of me I am truly grateful.

My brother in law was doing rehab here. First of all this is the cleanest facility I have ever been to. All the Staff are caring and kind. I definitely would recommend Encompass.

By far one of the best rehabs here in Mesa. It is beautiful! From the people to the food is amazing! Loving the care for the patients, especially for my husband to get the best help. This is the place!!!

Encompass is by far the best rehab facility I have seen. My Aunt was there for a month and we couldn't be more happy with her care there. All nurses and staff were great,kind, helpful, excellent in communicating about my Aunts care. They are clean. We couldn't be more pleased with the care they provided and also the support and help the case Manager Megan provided. Again a big thank you for the wonderful care you provided. All rehabilitation facilities should take note and follow exactly what encompass does. All Staff had a great & Positive attitude in helping my Aunt cant even express how much it helped in my Aunts recovery. With my Aunt being at a different facility now, makes me appreciate the excellent care encompass provided...Thank You 🥰

I was transferred to Encompass East AZ
11/29 after a week in hospital due to a bad car accident. I was there for 11-12 days, during my stay I had a care TEAM
( GOD, intake workers at hospital, case manager,Wendi **the doctors, nurses, techs,therapists Mr Ireland and Mr Scottland 🙏 as well as others PT-OT-speech, chef & kitchen staff , housekeeping Norma ) I emphasize TEAM as it makes everything run so much smoother and I am greatful to each and everyone of them. I say give them 10 stars way above the 5. And Brenda wound care❤ ,and nurse Tana 💕stars. There’s some I wish I could have taken home w me ;) This is my only experience w a rehab but I will say I felt cared for heard and Loved during my stay by all.

This facility is phenomenal. From the doctors to the cafeteria staff. Everyone wants to help you. They also have a lot of patience. I was there 2 weeks and there were times I just wanted to stay in bed. They'll come and just talk if that's what you need. The food was great, I looked forward to my meals. I had had a stroke, I'm a fitness instructor and this was very difficult for me. Walking was an ordeal. They taught me not to be so hard on myself. Five months later I am back to teaching. It's still exhausting, but a good exhausting. I just have to say everyone was just so kind

This place is the best of the best. Impeccable, genuine care. My dad has been here twice and I would never want him to go anywhere else. From the techs to the nurses, the therapists to and case managers. Everyone is 10/10. My dad would always say he felt like he was at a resort. We love the food too. Absolutely delicious. Thank you so much to our care team for getting my dad back on the road to recovery. We love you all so much. Thank you thank you thank you

This was my first time in a rehab facility, but I have visited plenty. I was extremely impressed with the care from all staff, the patience and gentle guidance the thereapists had during therapy. They even managed to switch up routines and try new fun ones to keep you interested. Rooms were spotless and food was great.

I want to thank everyone at Encompass that was involved in my care after hospitalization. I went to encompass unable to walk after a fall that I stayed at my home. They had me up and walking with the first week that I was there and back home within 2 1/2 weeks of arriving. The staff was extremely helpful and caring. I would highly recommend that if you have to do rehab to go to this facility. It has allowed me to enjoy life again after my injury. Thank you all for your help!

I went there after my lower back surgery on Feb 5th and all of the nurses, techs, physical therapy and occupational therapist where wonderful! So where the staff from the cafeteria and what I seen was how they all worked together as a team! They wanted to make sure that you where being well taken care off and the Doctor's made sure to stay on top of your medications. I would recommend this place for sure! I learned so much while I was there and they made sure I was ready before they sent me home.

My father was a patient at HealthSouth last week. The therapists, nurses, CNAs, and our case manager, were absolutely outstanding. They were compassionate, encouraging, accommodating, and provided exemplary care. My mother and I were so impressed with the personal attention and we give a 5+ for the care my father received. In addition, free beverages in the cafeteria and reasonably priced food and good tasting food in the cafeteria were much appreciated.

My mother had a stroke and the hospital gave us a list of Rehab centers. I drove to 6 of them and walked the facilities and talked to people. I liked what I heard and saw here however I did not like that fact that you can not stay with your loved one over night. This was almost a deal breaker for me but something about this place felt right. BEST DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE!!! The care she has received is TOP NOTCH! Amie and Don in therapy are just the BEST of the BEST but it didnt end there Linda her case worker was beyond helpful and full of information. The doctors and nurses were good too and her CNA's were AMAZING. My husband got training to get a green band, allowing him to transfer her and walk her, which has been a huge help with speeding up her recovery. My dad is able to come eat in the cafeteria with her for lunch and dinner at an extremely low cost and the food is good. When asked about out patient or in home care it was a no brainer we will be continuing with Encompass. We are a very involved family and someone is usually there 8am - 8pm. The only thing I would say they need to work on is response time to nurse call lights there is definitely no urgency weather they need to hire a few more aids or what the answer is I am not sure but it is an issue BUT seriously the only one we have seen in the last 3 weeks of being here.

My Mom, 93, was in this facility for 17 days after falling. She had PT, OT and other needed care. In my wildest imagination, I could not image there would be a facility like this. Every single person she encountered, was so professional, so caring, and so positive. It was such an off the charts experience, I can’t imagine anyone having a negative experience there. Everything about it was great - the care was great - it was delivered in such a positive way - all the other staff were so positive - the dining room experience was “food for the spirit.” I sing their praises all the way to North Dakota.

This is an amazing facility! It’s run like a hospital. From the front desk, to the therapists, nurses, aides, physicians... absolutely world class and professional. My 78 yr old father is here for rehab after bilateral sacral fracture surgery. Every staff member that works here is so encouraging... they have made the difference between him being bedridden and being able to walk again. This facility has our eternal gratitude for going over and beyond.
An additional note- they are certified for Parkinson’s disease rehab. They run classes Monday and Wednesday mornings $30/ month. That’s a great deal!
