If you love GOOD coffee, this is an absolute must! The guide was so friendly and very knowledgeable, and the coffee was amazing. Even my husband, who doesn’t particularly love coffee, enjoyed it. One tasting can easily be split between two people. This is TRUE 100% Kona coffee so you are paying for higher quality, and it’s completely worth it. Definitely a must-see!

What an experience! I arrived at 730am and had the place to myself. Carolynn (carol anne?) was GREAT. She explained everything and was very knowledgeable. She really made the visit special. This is a quick 30min-hour visit. Very easy to do.

One of my must- do's on the Big Island was to visit a coffee farm and roaster in Kona. We received a recommendation from a local to come to Holualoa Kona Coffee. Now , I can go on and write a bunch of words you most likely won't read, but I'll say this much. Just go. Excellent hospitality. Beautiful scenery. And hands down the BEST Kona Coffee. So, take a short drive up a beautiful Hawaiian mountain ⛰ and taste beauty.

Such a great spot! Beautiful area and the coffee is delicious. They have an air roaster along with the traditional drum roasting.
Didn’t have a chance to do the tour but everything else was great.

Tip- parking lot is the back second one, first one is for Aloha Adventures.

Incredibly kind and fun people! We had a great time doing the coffee tasting (only $1 each!). From a family who hates flavored coffee, their coconut creme coffee was subtle and delicious. It was too rainy to do the tour, but it’s worth a stop back during our next visit!

The ladies at Holualoa are always a delight. They take time to visit with you even though every time we've been there they have been super busy roasting and packaging.

This was a fun stop. Wasn't sure we were in the right spot, had to keep driving back past the Nenes. Coffee was great! Bought a sample to try at home and it was even better.

The best tasting coffee ever. Just took a trip to Spokane to visit my son Duke and his family. All he asked was for 100% Kona coffee. He was running low and wanted to give his coworkers a taste of 100% Real Kona Coffee. After a huge cup of coffee from Holualoa Kona Coffee Co., he kept the rest for himself & gave his boss the website to order his own. His boss was very appreciative after tasting it himself. My son is in very good standings with his coworkers because of his generosity to share the difference. 100% Real Kona Coffee!

This is one of the best coffee plantations you can visit on the west side of the island. First impressions were admittedly questionable, seeing that the entrance and driveway to the plantation is only big enough for one vehicle, is very bumpy, and passes by other people's houses. However, when you get up the fairly short driveway to the plantation, the smell hits you; wonderful, fresh coffee beans fill your nose, and it's even better when they're roasting the beans, because the smell of organic and 100% fresh picked beans being heated and churned is something that can't be matched. Weather there is normally perfect; unless you go on a strange day, shorts and a T-shirt is perfectly comfortable and you won't get hot. Because the plantation is located on the side of a mountain, a small, constant breeze keeps everything feeling amazing. The tours are free and self-guided. You don't go very far, you just take a look at the machines that process and clean the beans while referring to the laminated sheet of paper with more information that is given to you at the start of the tour. The tour takes a family of four about 30 minutes maximum to see and take in everything. Make sure you DO NOT leave without at least trying the pure Kona coffee located in the main building. The bags of whole-bean and ground coffee is a bit pricey; however, you get peace of mind knowing that your coffee came locally, and some bags have coffee beans picked by hand. This place gets a huge recommendation from me, and is certainly worth taking a morning to see and get to know what REAL coffee tastes like.

Great folks at this low key organic coffee farm and roaster. The free roaming chickens and geese were a hit with the kids. It's a self guided tour of the facilities with a nice introduction and explanation of the roasting process and equipment at the beginning and end. Nice folks making good coffee organically.
