Regal Keauhou

This is the best cinema on the west side of the Big Island.

I can safely say that, as it is now the ONLY CINEMA ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE BIG ISLAND.

I bring my noise-cancelling headphones with me when I go, as frequently the sound is extremely loud, and wearing them brings the volume down to normal.

I also dress in layers, as the air-conditioning is often very cold.

There is no IMAX.

The seats are comfortable.

There are 15 to 20 minutes of commercials (previews & promos of sodas & popcorn & candy) prior to each show. If the stated time is 1515 (3:15 pm) - you won't miss the main feature if you're seated by 1530 (3:30 pm).

Friendly staff, fast service, comfortable seats, clean theaters, restrooms, etc. didn’t see any flaws in this theater! I would definitely recommend it and I’d love to come back

Edit: I also really liked that there wasn’t assigned seating, sometimes that can just create problems that don’t even need to be there

It great to take in a good movie still. Thanks for being the only theater left in town. I've been waiting for Dune part two to come out and it was pretty awesome.

New home for WOL Kona. Service starts at 9am on Sundays before the theater opens for movies

This is my first time in a movie theater since 2020 and I have to say I REALLY missed going out to see a good movie on the big screen.

This has become the only modern movie theater for the Kona area, the next closest is about 30 miles to the North.

The staff were professionally kind and pleasant, and went out of THEIR way to bring my cooked food to me in the theater!

The seats are the traditional movie theater seats, so was very nostalgic for me!

EVERYTHING was extremely CLEAN and organized!

Ticket prices are average and up with the times but not as expensive as some theaters I have visited that were no where near as cool do to A/C, clean, professional, and accommodating.

The concessions have a wonderful selection and are priced with the times… this IS a business and they have to make money to stay open so I cannot be upset that the personal pizza is 8$.

If you are looking for a fun occasion… this theater is definitely up for the occasion!

I think, if there are any movies I l consider worth watching being shown, I will be there on the Holidays too! This place is THAT kind of special!

Best place to see the movies ill say TOP #1 cinema in big island I love there service there very kind people never had a problem. Remember their humans to they make mistakes don't act u don't make mistakes. what I mostly love about there theaters Is that art on the walls, oh and I also like that there not a lot of people because people can get a bit noisy. CANT WAIT TO COME ON THE 28!

Very nice commercial theater with multiple viewing rooms. It was clean, and all seats offered a great view of the screen, and the sound could give you a good shaking. As all theaters, it was expensive. With senior discounts plus having a 7 year old, it was over 30 dollars for 3 of us plus 34 dollars for popcorn and drinks. But the movie was great.

Staff is always friendly and the theater is always clean. Also, fresh popcorn is a bonus.

The staff was all very friendly. The theater was clean and wasn't too crowded. We saw a kids' movie, so we liked that the sound wasn't overly loud like a lot of other theaters. We would definitely come back here again.

The theaters are outstanding 👏 The elevation pitch is perfectly engineered to avoid any shoulders and heads blocking the view, and the surround system is incredible. Sound comes at you for all directions! Bravo!!!

Clean and comfortable seats. They even have closed caption machine for the deaf.

My favorite theater in Kona. Great staff, clean bathrooms and theaters. The seats are comfy seats and there a nice small arcade to play video games and air hockey. : )

This theater was packed in a good way. Glad to see movie theaters going strong. The staff was great and the place was clean.

The female staff there so excited abt movie we were about to see. Even after 12am, she was there to ask us if we enjoed it & to tell us goodnight.

Went there to see avatar with my date at the guy at the counter was phenomenal. He was really nice, kindly told us what they didn’t have, clearly explained the regal card and opened the door for us because our hands were full! He just got a raise recently and he definitely deserves it.

Beautiful inside, hand-painted murals of current movies designed and painted by staff. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Rumors January 2023 that it will be closing yet this year. Locals are very sad!

We love this movie theater. They are super friendly and the popcorn is always fresh.
