Ichiban Sushi and Grill

This is my new favorite place to eat sushi, I must say that its quality is unbeatable. They use fresh ingredients, which you can taste in the flavor. This time I ordered the Tiger Eye Roll and Tokyo Roll. I have to say that their creamy sauce is amazing, it adds a fishy and sweet flavor with a touch of cream cheese to every bite. On the other hand, if you go on weekend nights, you'll have to wait to be seated, keep in mind that it's a crowded place due to its quality, but trust me, it will be worth it. They have very affordable prices, with most items 50% off.

I love this place!!! All of their sushi is 50% off so prices are amazing. I love the Mars roll and Dragon roll, but everything is great here. Good service, great atmosphere and a very large menu selection. Will definitely be back and recommend this to anyone!

Our favorite place for a date night that doesn’t break the bank. Yet it’s not a divey hole-in-the-wall place either. Great atmosphere, super nice employees and best sushi you can get for the price! Great apps, sushi, and noodles. Can’t go wrong here!

Great place for sushi. Very fast service and a huge selection. Works great to bring a group of 4-6 people and order several different rolls. The Hot Night is one of my favorites. Deep fried, cut diagonally and stands up on end. Great presentation and it tastes delicious!!

Checked this place our with a friend last Friday. All Sushi is 50% which is great but I’ve never understood why restaurants just don’t lower their prices to the 50% price instead of making you think you’re getting a special when it’s not exactly a special because it’s always 50% off. Service was quick. I tried the egg flower soup & it was okay. It was very light & not a ton of flavor. I grabbed 2 vegetarian rolls which ended up being VERY similar to one another & I wasn’t aware of this until they arrived at the table. I likely would have ordered something else if I had know, just for more of a variety. I ordered the Asparagus Avocado Cucumber roll. I really liked this roll! Such a great combo with these three green veggies. I also ordered the vegetarian roll, which essentially was the same thing as the other roll, minus the asparagus & I think it had added lettuce in it. They were so similar though. Would have liked a little more of a variety. My friend ordered the Vegas roll & The Utah Roll. Presentation for both of these rolls were beautiful! The Vegas roll had sauce that was evenly tossed through the entire roll. The Utah Roll had the perfect amount of crab but it was kind of hard to pick up & eat with the chop sticks. It fell apart easily. I would definitely check this place out again for some more vegetarian rolls. It looked like they had a pretty good variety of Sushi rolls as well as some non-sushi items on the menu for those who aren’t into sushi.

Great sushi. Good service. Clean restaurant. Rolls are 1/2 price. Most of the rolls end up being about $10. Pretty good value.

I ordered the $4.50 california rolls and they were delicious! Highly recommended as typical cali rolls don't have much flavor. I also ordered the sweet and sour chicken with some fried rice. The proportions are a bit odd as there's more chicken than rice, but hey, I'm not complaining. For $11, I got plenty of food and the chicken was super fresh and crunchy. I wasn't a fan of the flavor as it was just sweet with no sour. Overall, really great experience and money well-spent.

Love this place! The service is excellent and the prices are amazing. My husband and I ate here on a Sunday and got 5 rolls and the bill was only $24! The quality is pretty good for that price too! They've got a pretty big menu too.

Whenever I visit SLC, I like to go to Ichiban for dinner. They have fresh tasty rolls and sushi, service staff are friendly and the food comes out in a timely manner even though they are packed every time I go.

This time there was 8 of us so I called ahead to get on the waitlist and they were able to accommodate us within 20 minutes of us getting there. Non-sushi food items were also decent.

A surprisingly good cheaper option for sushi.

We went on a sunday for lunch and were seated promptly. The restaurant began to fill up as we were there. Service was very good. They were friendly, attentive, and quick! The restaurant is actually a really beautiful space with a variety of seating options. It seemed very clean.

The menu is rather gimmicky. The sushi is priced at 1/2 off...permanently. Obviously this is a marketing trick but it worked well since I knew about it before visiting. It would be entirely possible to get a full meal off the cheaper sushi for $10. We opted for some of the cheap rolls and some of the fancier ones. One of the deep-fried rolls was incredible. The dessert roll we tried was also excellent. The cheap rolls were basic but still good. This would be a great option for families who want to try sushi but don't want to dole out the big bucks for higher end ingredients.

ate here for the first time tonight & it was too good. the paradise and toyko rolls are our new favorites! Cici was a great server! definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area.

My wife loves this place. I couldn't put this stuff in my mouth, but according to my friends and family, this food is incredible. The customer service is absolutely stellar. Recently, my wife and her friends were enjoying their meal, when the server informed them that they had a party of 15 coming in and if they want to order more to let him know now so they wouldn't be stuck behind that many orders. That was unbelievably considerate. Super good. Don't miss this place!

This place serves good sushi at a very affordable price. I was a little suspicious as to how it was so cheap- but I came across an article in the SL tribune about the owners of this place. They talked about how it’s their mission to provide good quality food at a price people can afford, and I think that’s so cool! I recommend the Fatty Salmon roll, Double Happiness roll, and Romance roll.

Been coming here for years and absolutely love it! Go-to rolls have always been hidden dragon, Red Bull, and fatty salmon; every other roll I’ve ever tried has always been delicious. Even when it’s packed, you can get in and out quickly and easily with minimal wait time before or during your meal.

I’ve been coming here for years! The food is always amazing. The service has always been super fast, friendly, and all around great. The ambience is lively. The location is perfect as it is on state street and minutes from the I15. Parking is ample and convenient. I highly recommend. I will be back for sure.

This is a wonderful sushi restaurant, in Salt Lake City. This was our first time visiting this restaurant, we went with adult children who visit fairly frequently. The sushi here, is absolutely delicious, and well presented also. They seem to have the best value, for sushi, in the Salt Lake City area. We also had soups as well that were delicious also. They advertise half off sushi, and they mean it. Don’t let the menu price scare you, since they will be half-price.

New building is wonderful and clean. Great Sushi! 50% off all the time. My husband and I got 3 rolls including a Vegas roll to share and two egg drop soups and it only came out to $14, but tasted so good. ***Update: Snow Crab Naruto Roll is now my favorite 😍. Not 50% off, but so worth it.

Loved this place! Great sushi deals with the 50% off, definitely some of the best sushi I’ve had and there are so many different rolls on the menu (with pictures too!). 1000% recommend you try this place just once and I promise you’ll keep coming back 🍱 Their lunch specials look just as amazing too!
