Can't speak to online services but everyone in person was very helpful and made what could have been a frustrating situation, very easy.

Little slow paced but it's nice and laid back

They have been charging me taxes on a vehicle that I have not owned since 2016 and had never owned after I moved to Carrollton Va. I asked how and why especially being the vehicle had NEVER been registered in that city. I was told that they went by my address change. AGAIN how is that right when I didn’t have the vehicle at the time that I moved to Carrollton and the tags had been returned to DMV in September of 2016. They then were able to verify and had the nerve to tell me they could only credit me back for 3 years. How and why? That does add up. This city has a lot of unethical trickery with It but TODAY they have the right one. I will not allow this to be done to me. And oh btw the man that purchased the car lives in Isle of Wight…. Funny right! I heard that they ride by and check vin #’s when I called to ask him about the car. I asked them if that’s what they had done because there was no link between me, that vehicle, and Isle of Wight. Oh and another thing they said that they skipped charging me in 2020 but didn’t have an explanation lol. So everyone call for your free year you deserve It.

Everytime I call this office they judge you based on age, speak in innuendo about your character, very entitled and love to roll calls over trying to be disrespectful mid conversation I do think it's based off my gender.

Used the website to pay property taxes. 2 weeks later I received a certified letter stating I intended and had knowledge to defraud the county which was a felony. They charged $86.95 in fines on a 80.00 bill because they said my bank account did not exist. Went there to show them my checking account was active and had more than enough money to cover the taxes. They could not give me any information on what account number and what bank was charged. They told me I had to pay the taxes and fines in 5 days or they would charge me with a felony. I paid the taxes and fines despite no protection and no explanation. Wow, welcome to Virginia. The county treasury office has all the power, and we the people have to do what they say or else. Hard to believe this is America.

This office will send you forms with explicit directions, that are apparently wrong, to set up various processes. Then when you call to find out what happened they say the forms are incomplete even though the forms were filled out exactly as their directions indicated.
